04/30/2016 Worst Experience I ever had. Staff's been so Rude. I mean come on my wife's birthday. We waited 30 mins to ge to the table. While waiting at the bar bought bottle of wine, Age verified with our ID. We were generous to verify our age to the bartender but come on know once we get to our table the waitress asking for our Age verification over a wine bottle we just purchased???? Then we ask for another wine glass she ask for our ID again. HOW RUDE IS THAT? I GUESS WE WERE PROFILED. WE WERE HAD WALK OUT OF CHILLI'S AND FINALLY GOT TO APPLEBEE'S in Manteca where the Waitress, Management were so Professionaland Perfect. When I think of dining at Chilis, 9 times out of 10 I already know what I want before we even pull into the lot. Their signature dishes are actually things I craved during my pregnancy lol! Who doesn't love chicken crispers or cajon chicken pasta right? Being that I am semi new to the area and honestly didn't get out much to sample the local dining scene for quite some time (3 kids kills the out of home life quite often), by the time I got to go here I was let down rather quickly. I wish I could say that this location delivered the same consistent food bliss our one back in Fremont did, but it did quite the opposite. We arrived at 8; and the place wasn't as packed as I had imagined it would be so I was happy with the prospect of quick service. Especially with a child and baby in tow. We were seated within minutes...but than sat for even longer without any recognition. I tried ordering from the table top system but the wrong one had been linked to our table so it wouldn't enter even a drink order. We saw multiple parties seated after us all get served promptly, it was as if we were invisible. After about 10 min our order was taken, and our drinks arrived shortly after. I asked that the kid/baby food be brought out as soon as it was ready so their patients didn't die in waiting. After 35 min nothing arrived, and we began to ask what was going on?? We then waited another 22 min, and our food began to be delivered...except for my daughters and the baby's. My daughters was brought shortly after, completely different than how she ordered it. Unfortunately due to allergies the customization she had requested was not something she can just pick around. The baby had nothing, so i tried to hand her bits of mine to satisfy her. However, Not only was she without, but ours had obviously sat the hour because it was cold and starting to harden. We asked for a manager, and she quickly came to the table and offered to comp our bill. We left without eating a bite, grabbed McDonalds and went home disappointed. read more

The worse visit I have ever had!!!! I work in healthcare and just got off a 12 hour shift not in the mood to cook so I order chili's takeout. Lots of things went wrong first off my burger was soooooo greasy I think they dunked the whole thing in oil and packed it up. Also my broccoli I got on the side had black mold on the bottom yay me!!!! The celery that came with the boneless wings were old and wilted!!!!! I will never again order from Manteca chili's ever again I fed my whole meal minus the moldy broccoli to my dog!!!! read more

If there was a minus star that's what I would give this Chilis in Manteca. My chicken nachos to go looked like someone sat on them & my husband's rib dinner that came with 2 sides, neither one was in the bag. Save your money don't go to this establishment. read more

If manteca had two Chili's I'm not sure this would be my go to Chili's. Staff is great, but the cooking is hit or miss. But on the bright side, the staff is awesome!!!!! AND, they always have ice cold mugs for your beer. read more

My husband and I and his side the family went to Chili's last night to have dinner and have a little meeting I have food was awesome as always the service was great we got to spend time and talk about some things we all need to talk about and they never once rush us to leave there it was a pleasant atmosphere we all enjoyed yourselves and as always everything was great can't wait to go back to Chili's read more

Just a thought for the management and servers... My bill was 82.07. I gave the server a 100 dollar bill, 2 ones and 7 cents. I got back in change 3 five dollar bills and 5 ones. Obviously by the way I gave you the money I wanted a 20 back. If you feel like you need to remind me to give you a tip by giving me my change in small bills, you insult me. If I needed change I would ask. Just bad customer service policy. BTW you actually got less of a tip for the insult. read more

Our waitress was super great & very attentive, so nothing against her. The food was great in general. However, we ordered the spinach & queso (which our waitress sort of forgot & we didn't get until our food was out) but when it was brought out it looked delicious, except the scoop of BROWN guac. I mean c'mon...seriously chili's? I don't even eat brown guac at home. The spinach dip itself was delicious but I'm so bummed they would bring out this very unappetizing scoop of brown guac. Who missed this? It's just upsetting that it got past the cook, and young man who brought it out. I went a little after lunchtime (not even near closing!) overall, I had a great experience besides this obviously not fresh guacamole. read more

Sucky. Terrible service, mediocre food, tiny portions, expensive. After waiting what seemed like an eternity for our waitress to acknowledge our existence, my husband and I ordered a fajita platter designed for 2 people to share. My husband ordered a tea and I just had water. Our bill came out to $50. The portions for the fajita platter were so small, that it was more like an appetizer than a main course. Now mind you, my husband and I are not pigs- we are very much into sensible portions and healthy eating....but these were super small portions. To top it off, the quality of the food wasn't even that good- quite mediocre, as if it came from a microwave. We ended up leaving the restaurant STILL HUNGRY and short $50!!! read more

Horrible horrible horrible!!!! I will NEVER go to any Chili's restaurant again. I called today January 3rd to make a reservation for 4 adults & a child. I thought it would be a smart thing to do because I knew it would be packed since it was a Saturday night PLUS I was meeting friends there & we had to drive 25-30 minutes. Well guess what? Chili's doesn't take reservations. You're suppose to call 30 minutes before you arrive at the restaurant in order to have a table ready. I thought hmmm thats odd but whatever I'll call when I'm leaving my house. So I called again and a woman answered the phone & I made my "reservation". I called at 5:10pm & arrived at the restaurant at 5:55pm. First of all, my name was never wrote down on their handy dandy clip board. Second of all, the employee didn't believe me when I said I called. I had to literally show him my call log on my phone!! THEN he tells me since I called at 5:10 & arrived at 5:55pm I was too late because I only had 30 minutes to get there!!! I explained I was driving from out of town but he didn't give a sh*t. I asked to speak to a manager & sure enough she told me the same thing!!!!! I couldn't believe it. My damn name was never wrote down in the first place yet my call didn't count because I was 15 minutes late are you kidding me??? Took a business associate there this evening, and was embarrassed at how poor it was overall. Her drink was wrong, and they tried twice. The main course,was brought out before the appetizers. We were rushed, pressured and treated poorly all night. There was no reason, as the restaurant was empty and no one was waiting for the table. My tip reflected the poor service. We used to go here every week and watch most if not all of an entire Giants game. It's baseball so that's at least 3 hours. A few weeks ago at 4 pm we went with my cousin, his wife, grandpa, my husband, and our 3 kids. We all ordered appetizers and told the server we were going to stay the whole game. My husband and cousin order a tall bud light and grandpa ordered a margarita. After 30 min the boys ordered a shot. At 5:30 my husband and cousin ordered another tall bud light and grandpa ordered a soda. We ordered some more appetizers and a few sodas. Around 6:45 they all 3 ordered a shot. My husband tried to order another bud light but the server told us that our table was cut off. The "rule" is no more then 1 drink per person an hour. My husband who is not a small man had 2 beers and 2 shots from 4pm to almost 7. He asked to talk to the manager since our server told us he was the one who cut the table off. He came over and said if he knew how long we were staying or if we ordered more food then maybe he would allow 1 more drink. We told him we had been here since 4 and we had been ordering food the whole time planning on staying there for the whole game. My husband told the mgr that were are a family having a nice evening, no craziness no yelling just want to enjoy the game and we have never been cut off here before. He told us that he understood and then asked who was the designated driver. I said I was and so was my cousins wife. We both had nothing to drink. So he agreed to let the boys have 1 more drink. He told us that this is a rule from corporate and he could be fired for allowing more then 1 drink per hour. Our server brought the drinks out at around 7:30. The drank it and we left. I have never seen anything so ridiculous. I am not a drinker and even I was offended. We are mid to late 30 's Adults. (except the kids and grandpa of course) No one was drunk, we didn't have any issues. Maybe because our server was one we had never seen before and the super young manager was one we had never had before the needed to prove a point? Is this really a rule here in CA? Needless to say, we won't be going back. Plus the new menu is nasty. They are now putting cumin in everything it seems like. Yuck. read more

I had shrimp fajitas, yum!, my dad had the guacamole burger which he said was really good, and my mom had the Caribbean salad. Everything was delicious and the service was great! They have a new miniature touch screen computer thing on each table now to reorder drinks or food instead of waiting on the server, your order goes straight to the kitchen. You can pay the bill on it too. Very convenient! read more

Alright....I've been here 3 times in the past 2 years....and everytime....something isn't right. The first time my family and I ate here....it took us almost an hour to get our meals and when we got it....the meal was lukewarm. The second time we came here....My little brother waited forever to get his half rack of ribs....and they were soo tough it was terrible. Poor guy had his heart set on them. Yesterday I went for lunch and ordered a BBQ pulled pork sandwich....the bun looked delicious....BUT WHEN I OPENED THE BUN TO LOOK FOR THE MEAT...THERE WAS A SMALL DOLLOP OF MEAT....IT WAS HILARIOUS!!!! Flew in just under the radar for the end of Happy Hour. Sunrise margarita is delicious! Food is yummy!! Service is ...eh. Bartender is super sweet but slowwwwwwww! Hard time getting a second drink ordered and waters. And it's not even busy! Bar and restaurant are half empty so I think for company like Chili's the service game definitely should be a step above where it's at but like the bartender is really sweet and friendly :) Okay so I'm in with our daughter as a late Mother's Day gift to me since we both worked on MD. This review is specifically about the new TNT burger. It is lousy! First of all it is an $11.00 burger and it is tiny! The deep fried pickles are just off. They are spicy as all get out and most definitely the worst deep fried pickle I have ever had. I love pickles and deep fried pickles but this recipe is horrible. The slaw was nothing more than grated cabbage and diced bell peppers. No flavor what so ever. The meat had an odd sort of old taste to it that I just couldn't get past. The bun was stale and the BBQ sauce was mediocre. Stick to drinks and chips cause this burger is NOT worth it! read more

We couldn't get everybody in the family together on Mothers Day so we took my wife to Chili's a few days later for a late lunch (around 3:30). Every time we have been here before there was a line of people waiting for a table, but not this time. They sat us at one of the large tables in the corner so we could all fit. Our server was friendly and talkative, maybe because she wasn't really busy. The food was great and all of us enjoyed our meal. The service was prompt and friendly, and our server always managed to stop by when I had just taken a bite and my mouth was full! You should have no worries about going away hungry here. The lady a few comments down who said she got a fajita for 2 and an iced tea and water is definitely overexaggerating for whatever reason because a fajita for two is double the portion of the regular fajita and it is 20 dollars! Add that and an iced tea at 2.39 her bill was barely $25 dollars when she said her bill was $50! Some people you just can't please but let me tell you folks kindness goes a long way I will do anything for a table especially when they are nice and if your not happy with your food, tell your server they will happily get a manager on it and something else made, that simple! read more

Called in for reservations an hour early and came in 20 minutes earlier than we originally said, but they handled our group very professionally. No complaints on the food! Love this location. We received excellent service from Roberto today. We were seated immediately upon walking in the door, ordered chips and salsa with mango ice tea. Delicious! For our meals we had the bacon avocado chicken sandwhich (Try it with the Ancho ranch! To die for!) and southern smokehouse burger. They were spot on! Roberto was very attentive, offering refills at the perfect timing and checking on us to ensure we were satisfied! He even told us about the rewards program we signed up for. Dined here with my wife to watch Thursday night football during happy hours at the bar. We want to take advantage of the happy hour special but the waitress failed to tell us that the beer I ordered is not on the domestic list even though it is a domestic beer. I even ordered another one and ask her if it is still under happy hour. Twice they failed us. We ended up paying premium and the service and attention given to us is not worth for a second visit. read more
