Never thought that we would end up back at a Chili's again in our lives since our last ironic-on-purpose visit with our friends a couple years back. It was Sunday night, and like idiots, we didn't check the hours of the place that we had wanted to go to...and it was closed! And our Plan B and Plan C were also closed, so considering that we were all starting to get hangry, off to Chili's we went! Service left a lot to be desired. We waited for a long time to be greeted, and when we asked someone if we could put a drink order in, she was like, "Oh, I didn't even see you there!" Wow, great job! And our food took a LONG time to come out, and our second round of drinks took so long that we ended up cancelling them. As far as food, we knew what we're getting into, so we can't even complain. The two of us shared the "combo" fajita plate with shrimp and steak and we had plenty of leftovers--cannot believe that it's intended for one person. This is America! Our daughter got a kid's pizza with french fries (which came out cold). We do have to say nice things about the side of asparagus we got. *That* was pretty good. This experience was as disappointing as we expected it to be. Ate dinner in Mineral Wells at the local Chili's. The place was not very busy for a Thursday night but began to pick up as the night continued. My husband and I we greeted and sat at a table quickly. Our server was prompt to get our drinks and took our order in a good amount t of time. Our dinner did take some time to prepare BUT it came out hot and cooked to our liking. We came in 20 mins ago and have 5 in our group. We have watched them seat 2 parties with 5 or more before us. When we asked why we were told that they were waiting for our table to be cleared. When we asked which table we were to be seated at the child seating people said that one. The one that still had 6 people at it. I would leave but there aren't really any choices here in this little town. I do not recommend eating here because of the lack of service and attitude of the staff. read more

I am very upset and have a RANT!!! We went to the Chili's restaurant, in Mineral Wells. We ordered the spinach dip. They brought out chips and salsa, first. Not having ordered these, we questioned the waitress and she told us that they were served with the spinach dip. Mind you... chips with salsa aren't listed as one of their appetizers. Subsequently, we were charged two separate appetizer fees... one for the dip and the another for the chips and salsa. When we questioned the "Manager on duty" He appeared to be unconcerned and defended the two separate charges. At no time, did he offer any sort of resolution. We were so appalled that we just paid the check and left the restaurant. And, while we were eating, an elderly couple sat down at a table, near ours. They were never approached by any staff and were never even acknowledged. They never even had any menus. After a period of time, they finally just got up and left the restaurant. read more

I would otherwise rate this Chili's pretty high. Except for this last time the salad with ranch, 10 oz sirloin loaded potatoes, broccoli or the dirty tea glass gave me the worst case of food poisoning i ever had.....I've been dining in this restaurant for lunch break from work for a long time. This time whatever it was hit within 3 or 4 hours after leaving. I had to go home and lay down which only lead to vomiting, which eventually lead to diarrhea. Tried to sleep through the intense stomach pain and cramping with no luck...decided to continue vomiting and having diarrhea.... still the same today...thank you Chili's for ruining my weekend....check your produce, check expiration dates, wash hands, and for God's sake serve clean cups. read more

Today we ate at Chili's. We had vowed not to go again, but the family wanted to. We had a waitress named Danielle who was absolutely terrible. She served the wrong food, served the wrong food to the wrong people, and although we talked to the manager, they would not taking anything off the bill. The waitress did not know the menu, and there were seven of us and we were not served at the same time. We did not give a tip, but I will give you one...NEVER go there!. I have done the app order several times with no problem until Sunday July 18. Put my order in at 5 pm, to be picked up at 6:15 pm. Arrived at 6:17 pm, my app said my food will be right out. Waited for 10 minutes, no food and no answer on the phone. Go in and they didn't have an order for me, showed them my email. Someone had moved it and it wasn't prepared. Told them to issue me a credit on my card, which I am still waiting on. Will continue to call them until my credit is issued. Spoke to my daughter today, they were in there yesterday also, and their waitress totally ignored them and she couldn't get the attention of anyone else. Excuse was not enough staff on hand, the way I see it, if the staff you have can't handle it, don't take so many customers in. read more

I was so disappointed at out last visit. I ordered the quesadilla explosion salad and asked for the dressing that comes on it to be left off and a different one on the side, but it came without those modifications. My husband said his burger sucked and he kept running out of drink. When we used the table kiosk to order dessert we discovered another tables order on it. This chili's location is one of the better ones we have been to. Our waitress Sietta was on the ball! The staff seems to really work as a team rather than just waiting on the tabels they were given. Yesterday I got Chili's To Go for my staff meeting. I had the new Margarita Bowl. Half the ingredients were missing. No avocado, no sour cream sauce. The field greens were substituted with romaine lettuce. There was only a little but of lettuce and a pile of rice. The rest of the food was also very poor quality and described by my staff as flavorless. I wonder if the food in the restaurant has also stooped to this or if they only do this with To Go orders. Horrible service! Waiting 15 minutes with a family of 5 and no one even came to take our drink order! The manager walked past us and didn't acknowledge us! I've only visited this restaurant once, but honestly I thought it was pretty good. You know, your standard Chili's. The watermelon lemonade is fantastic and refreshing. I am 36 years old and have never wrote an online review in my life, but i just cannot let this one go. This Chilis has terrible terrible terrible customer service. We went to eat here for my sons birthday. The food was decent except for the Mac and chz my son ordered with his steak. It was terrible! The only fix the manager offered was to take $1 off of my ticket and charge me $6 additional dollars to sub it for regular mac and chz (a kids meal price). To top that off they charged me for the kids meal, again $6 added to my ticket, and didn't want to bring me the side and the drink that is supposed to come with it. They said you had to be under 12 to receive the side and the drink, not that it should matter since they were charging me the full kids meal price, but my son is 12!!!! Even better, the mac and chz came in a bowl the size of a side dish NOT the size of the kids meal dish. The manager said "it's corporate, there is nothing i can do about it." Well, I know too many people in the restaurant business and have worked in it myself to know that's a bold face lie. That manager was rude RUDE and was obviously just trying to throw her weight around. She is definitely in the wrong profession if she wants to behave that way. Driving through Mineral Wells there aren't many choices for good quality food that don't involve batter and a deep fryer. I was in the mood for steak and although there are a few locally owned steak places in town, I decided to stay with a national chain to avoid a bad experience. This Chili's is a smaller floor plan than the big city version. Super cozy feeling. I ordered  the crusted Choice sirloin with ancho-garlic rub, chopped green onions on a bed of asparagus, garlic roasted tomatoes. Requested medium and it was cooked medium well to well done. I'm not super picky when it comes to this particular cut. It's not prime rib! Flavor of the steak was really nice and offered a great value. The seasoning on the steak was a succulent blend of tart and buttery notes. Super delicious. Management was very apologetic and offered to make it right but I explained I simply was critiquing for training purposes for the kitchen. The true star was the server! Her name is Siedah. She greeted our table with a great smile and always made sure that we were taken care of. Super professional and knowledgeable she at one point offered to find out if a certain sauce on the menu had sugar in it. People like her that are so engaged in their service, is the reason that people come back to restaurants.I was treated like I mattered. She is truly an asset to the Chili's brand image! My husband and I are both vegetarians and have been frequenting Chili's on and off for some time. We had a few bad experiences here and there (taking 30 minutes to get served, etc) and finally after a year we decided to go back. We have been going back regularly now for about 5 months. One of the waitresses is absolutely wonderful and she even knows what we order each time - black bean burgers with extra pickles and lettuce. Last night we went for our usual meal and had a different waitress. We ordered the usual and were brought to meat burgers instead. We called the waitress back, who apologized and took the meat burgers back to replace them with veggie patties. While we were waiting, I glanced up at the large screen TV mounted on the wall. Rather than usual sports the hunting channel was on and a beautiful innocent deer was being slaughtered by two men with blood was gushing everywhere as it fought to no avail for its life. I spotted the manager and asked her to please change the the Channel, which she did (thank goodness). The waitress then brought out our black bean burgers along with a ticket showing that she had kindly removed the meat burgers from our ticket so we did not have to pay for them. What?! We never ordered them in the first place and they acted like they were doing us a favor by not charging us. Also, the black bean burgers arrived without any fries. The waitress assured us that our fries would be out shortly. By this time a half-hour had passed and we were starving, so we started eating our vegeburgers without the fries. Fifteen minutes later we had finished eating completely with the fries never showing up. We had to flag the waitress down to tell her that we wanted the fries removed from our ticket. The waitress went to get the manager, and after waiting 10 more minutes, the manager came back and said all she would charge us for was our drinks and chips and salsa - $5.82. Had they wiped the slate clean - which is what they should have done as in good customer service - we would have gone back but as it is, we are finding a new restaurant to eat at on our one night out.
