Great food the owner seems really friendly. I loved their melon drink. Unfortunately we had a really bad experience with a rude server during their breakfast hours. We felt very uncomfortable and left. Haven't gone back since. Shame, since we were going there weekly for lunch. read more

Polo's Mexican Cafe has cute vibe and place. We tried the Street Tacos (Asada) which is not bad at all, it's good. The staff are nice, making for a welcoming experience. The Jamaica and Tamarindo drinks are a bit too sweet for our liking, but still nice to try. The only downside is the restroom, which could definitely use a little more attention. After a trip to the local farm and ranch store for supplies for our chickens, we stopped here for dinner. The free chips were thin and crispy and the salsa was mild and tasty. Our entrees were brisket street tacos and beef enchiladas. Both came with rice and refried beans. Everything was served hot and it was all delicious. The red and green salsas that came with the entrees were tasty with a kicked up heat. Yum! Portions were ample and the prices were very good. Maybe we were here on an off day, but I could not understand the positive reviews. The table they sat us at had water dripping on it from an A/C, so we moved. The chips and salsa were also off the mark...cold stale chips, and salsa that tasted like tomato sauce. The Chili Relleno was mostly flour, with a little beef inside...also cold. The Tacos Al Carbon were very greasy and cool, like they had been sitting. The service was less than stellar as well. read more

Yes this is a small family run business with very nice people and solid food. I had fajitas and they were fresh but not quite cooked enough and not sizzling like I prefer. Today we ordered two 2-go enchilada plates, the 1st time we have tried POLOS. There was not more than 1/4 c rice, 1/4 c of refried beans on each plate. The 2 enchiladas on each plate were the smallest either of us have seen anywhere. They maybe put a 1/8 c. of chili over the enchiladas, we found 2 or 3 strands of cheese on each enchilada, no cheese on the refried beans. I have been looking for 2 years for a place that has enchiladas "as good" as my favorite place where we used to live. Well today I found it ! Polo's was delicious! I won't go anywhere else around here for good Tex-Mex ! Look forward to trying the fried cheesecake or ice cream one day. Service was great. People were friendly.
