This is my favorite chili's location to come to. The staff is always friendly and super quick. I'm usually there when it's busy, but I still get good service every time. The food is standard chain restaurant, which isn't a problem for me but in comparison to other places - portions are small, greasy and I've never felt too good after eating it. We came in recently for a late lunch with a group of 7, and just had a spectacularly bad experience. Our server came by, and was by all accounts good. However, they came back shortly after taking our orders to say that someone else would be helping us as they had been pulled by management to work elsewhere. We were then left seemingly alone for the entire course of our meal. We got two baskets of chips, one for each table, and they got replenished only when the queso app arrived (super late). Which meanwhile was exactly when the entire table's entrees arrived. That makes for a pretty terrible app experience, and no one touched the queso or the new chips. We requested new drinks at that time, and they never came. Someone from our table had to get up and physically find a staff member to get some drinks replenished. This had to occur AGAIN at the end of the meal. Multiple entrees came out incorrect. My honey chipotle waffles had jalapeños all over them, despite requesting them without. The steak for another person was slathered in butter, despite them repeatedly saying that they had a dairy allergy and could not have butter. This was even circled on the written order, yet still was messed up. I could go on, but won't. As to the quality of the food, I found it decidedly lacking. I was hopeful for their take on chicken and waffles, but it was terrible, jalapeños aside. Waffles tasted like they had 3-4x the recommended sugar, and were more of a cake consistency - tasting nothing like a proper waffle. The fried chicken was otherwise reasonably good, and the honey chipotle sauce was reasonably good, but the waffles were inedible. The flatbread was overcooked, dry, and burnt. At the end of the day, the majority of the food was left on the table. The server apologized and said it was "a bad day for their restaurant", but recommended nothing to rectify the situation. First time here even though I used to frequent North Brunswick all the time for Panera and Bed Bath. I didn't dine in, so I can't comment on that, but their overall customer service and food were surprisingly good, considering it is a chain restaurant. But judging by other chains I've been to very recently -- and been disappointed by -- I think this particular location does pretty well with the food and service. When we walked in, we grabbed a menu, and no one was waiting by the front register area, and thus no one assisted us for a couple minutes, which was fine. We needed time looking things over. When a girl came over to take our order, she was extremely bubbly. We had some questions about the 3 for Me deal for $10, and she didn't know, but went to ask someone to clarify for us. No attitude whatsoever, no impatience whatsoever. She took our order, which was a lengthy one, and answered any questions we had along the way. In about 20-25 minutes we came back and our food was just about to be bagged up for us. A different girl was taking our payment. Now onto the food: 3 for Me deal for $10 double cheeseburger -- husband loved it! Bacon burger -- good solid burger, not too much meat, not too much bun . Salsa and chips- Salsa seemed like the jarred type from any supermarket. Nothing fresh about it. Chips were crispy and fried. We got two huge bags of them; we were expecting a small handful. We couldn't finish them. mini chocolate molten cakes -- seemed large for a mini. Wonder how big the regular sized one was! Enjoyed every bite of this soft cake, with the gooey chocolatey center, and extra chocolate sauce they give on the side. Yum! This alone was worth getting the deal. Spicy panko onion rings - Didn't get that much spice taste from these, but were crispy and delicious. Loved the dipping sauces too. Buffalo wings - Just typical wings with the buffalo sauce. Happy hour $4 frozen margaritas are so good! They give you a good amount and it's so refreshing! Ive also had the boneless wings and the queso spinach dip from here, and both were excellent. They give you a huge basket of chips for the queso dip. We didn't even finish them. Bartenders were super nice and helpful. Came here for dinner last night with a $25 gift card. =) This place was pretty quiet and our server was alright. We had the $20 Dinner for Two and it came with an appetizer and 2 entrees. For appetizer, we had the Tostada chips with fire-grilled corn guacamole (the guacamole was very good). For entrees, I had the Cajun Chicken Pasta and my bf had the Baby Back Ribs with the new Honey Chipotle sauce; both were pretty decent, but I liked my pasta better than the ribs. =P On the side, I also ordered the sweet corn soup, which was highly recommended by our server. It definitely had an unique taste, but we did enjoy it nevertheless. What a disappointment. Normally the North Brunswick Chili's is a better choice than the East Brunswick, but today was a sad situation. It took 25 Minutes to receive chips and salsa. Trying to eat out, on a Sunday, not being a football fan is a hard work. After a day in Lambertville, my boyfriend and I were hungry by the time we got home. We threw a few ideas around, but every decision ended with a "nah, there will be football on" I'm sorry, but unless it's a sports bar, I am SO against TVs being in bars/restaurants. If I wanted to watch TV, I'd stay home and do that. I wish everyone else would go the same. We ended up going with Chilis in EB because it has a small bar and you can be seated away from it. While driving to that location, we passed the Chilis on Route 1 and decided to try this one instead. Really glad we did. Although they had a huge bar AND football on every TV, the volume was down. We were actually seated IN the bar section and you could barely tell a game was on. Quiet and considerate of other people dining in, my first positive review! We both got burgers. Nice to see that they have updated menu items, burgers included. Both burgers were delicious. Seemed a bit smaller than I remember, but still good. The four stars are for the food and the fact that I could eat here without the madness of football. The service wasn't too great. The bartender took our order and that was the only time we saw her. She had someone helping her, but he was more concerned with cleaning up other tables. There are several peope who serve you so its hard to find the right person to account for your order being wrong. The new wings are smoked wings and are more like baked chicken wing. Went here tonight in hopes of getting a hot meal I could always eat. The enchiladas are wonderful here, albeit a bit too hot compared other Chili chain locations. My problem more than anything was the wait staff. I arrived Sunday night around 5:30, a bit before the rush and there was an extremely large party already there. Immediately I understood that I would probably have to wait longer and that is fair given the business. Food took some time, and the problem comes after. I with the enchiladas on plate, I needed a drink refill as did my date. We tried to ask 1 of 2 waiters assigned to our table (as we had two.) Waitstaff did not notice. We asked one waitress. Nothing. 10 minutes later we ask another waiter. Nothing. 10 minutes after I ask a manager. Still nothing. We waited for a drink to finish a meal and we never got refills. At this point, my date leaves the table to ask staff for drinks. Nothing. Waitstaff avoid eye contact, we couldn't even get anyone's attention. We did not ever get refills. At this point I can't finish my meal and just want to leave. Place has good food but bad service. Chilly's gets my vote for the best comfort food chain/franchise restaurants in the applebees, Outback, Friday's.. etc. category-- they also have the best 2 of 20 menu. This location is within walking distance from my house so I am here very often. They recently renovated this place and I believe hired new management team - and it has been a good positive change. Everyone knows what kind of food they have to offer so I am not going to talk about that but service here is great. Their bar area is completely separated from the dining tables which is very nice. The whole place including the bathrooms are very clean but that might be because it was recently renovated. They have a huge parking lot and this location is conveniently located right off route 1. The place is always packed even during lunch hours so they must be doing something right. read more

I am not big on reviewing chains, because service and quality vary greatly from location to location--- but I must say that this Chili's was pleasant with polite, good service.the food was tasty,fresh,hot and came out quickly with no reheats-the chain itself has come a long way- the menu has a larger variety and is slightly lower priced in general than TGIF and Applebee's and the fajitas at Chili's are far superior with much more chicken and cooked perfectly!! .Went on a Sunday with the family, bar area has NFL ticket,free refills( offered by server) on appetizer chips( nice touch) -the kiosk iPads with games for the kids are great for restless kids ( but you should be told there is a small entertainment fee attached with use)-I will be back!! read more

I've been here 3 times and 2 out of the three it's been a bad experience. Cold food and bad service. I just ordered a dirty martini and the olives were horrible. I had one at Longhorn about 2 hrs before and it was excellent. I think the olives here were bad or expired. The bartender didn't even offer to do anything after mentioned she should tell the manager. Just keep on serving the same crap. I saw the manager rinse a glass with the fountain sprayer and then make a drink. In my opinion this not a clean or educated workforce that cares about if quality or cleanliness is necessary.
