Had a terrible experience here. Ordered a chicken mex bowl, and the chicken was pink! The manager dared to argue with me that it was done, but remade it anyways. So while my better half and his dad ate their dinner, I had to sit there, hungry as hell, and twiddle my thumbs while I waited for my food. I then waited over ten minutes for a glass of water before I finally went up to the bar and got it myself. Their beans were cold, and had to ask for a fresh bowl. And after all of the nonsense, we were still charged for my mex bowl. After arguing with the manager for about five minutes, he finally gave us a discount. Came in on a busy Sunday afternoon, and sat at the bar since there was a long wait otherwise. Our bartender was very attentive and we received both our drinks and food rather quickly especially since it was so crowded. Food was on par with other chili's locations. We made a pit stop while on the way back from a trip to Mt. Dora. I give Chili's a lot of credit for being consistent. You could eat at 50 different Chili's restaurants and its the same experience. We liked our server as he was a fellow runner and we chatted about that. What made this experience better than a regular visit to Chili's as they had the table top screens that we could use to add items and pay our bill without waiting on the server which speeds up our time when in a rush. We were a big family that stopped here for a late lunch on our way home after a visit to Daytona Beach. The food & atmosphere were good, which is typical for Chili's. I really like this Chili's it's close to home. The drinks are cold and delicious. The food is always what you would expect from a good Chili's. The staff is always courteous and friendly. We went to the Orange City location for the first time this evening. Our food was exceptional. I ordered a rib eye steak. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly! It was so tender it melted in my mouth! Chilis in Orange City offers great food, fantastic service, fun environment, and all for an affordable price! My family and I eat there at least 3-4 times a month! It is definitely worth it every time even if we have to wait for a table! read more

Went to chili's with my family to celebrate my brothers first day as a police officer. Let me start off first by saying the server was great! She was fantastic! I can't say the same about the time we were waiting for our food and drinks. Let's start with the apps. We ordered queso dip and was cold. Chicken wings took forever to come out. My father ordered the new sizzling steak on the menu. And the steak was burnt. Must say they need help in the bar and kitchen. I'm sad to say this is the worst Chilies I've been in. And I am a huge fan of their menu. We recently moved from North Carolina and we were excited to see there is a Chili's in our neighborhood. Well we got our hopes up too soon because when we walked in the door it was very noisy and the way the booths and tables were set up left you no illusion of privacy like the other Chili's we had visited. No tall divider walls between the areas, you just looked around and saw everybody eating cafeteria style. It took 10 minutes before a waitress came to introduce herself. Once she did take our order it took 4 different inquiries and a manager to get our food which added up to 75 minutes. When the manager brought our food out, the only way of apologizing was to offer us a piece of cake. REALLY!!! They will not be seeing us again. And after talking with our new neighbors we have learned that they too had the same experience. Save yourself the aggravation and don't go. read more

My husband and I used to go at least 3x a month, mostly bcuz he's addicted to the chips and salsa. We love the fahitas for two (steak) and the Montery chicken with smashed potatoes (so good). We feel the prices are good for the quality/quantity of food. Giving them one star is one start too many! I usually like Chili's restaurant's, granted they may not be my first choice on the list but I do like them. However, at this location it is horrible!!! Back in the day when it was the only location around it was good. Now though that it has another chain in DeLand as well as other competition they are disgusting. The food is mediocre and for the past 2 months their chips for the queso have been horrid! Constantly dark and oily, its like they don't change their fryer grease or use a different fryer for their chips. Also, just last weekend 01/08/12 I ordered the boneless buffalo wings, which came after they delivered everyone else's food, they told me that they were waiting on the wings, when they did finally come out they were stone cold! Straight through the middle, cold. I returned them to have them fire a new order, nope. Instead they just threw them in the microwave or the fryer again because when they cam back out they were not only hot but they were so hard that the knife they gave me to use, wouldn't cut through them!! I've had so many problems with just this location it's pathetic. It's not the waitress, waiter's or hostess that is the problem, they're great! However, the management and the kitchen staff is a joke. I've worked in the food industry and I would be ashamed if I not only worked in that kind of business but if I ran a business like that. The only reason they make any kind of money is because of their drink specials. I will never return to this location again. The good service does not make up for the atrocious food and rude management. Stay away! read more

I went to our local Chili's....I wanted steak fijitas.....they don't do steak for lunch...why I asked....they just don't......what is so hard about doing steak for lunch...So I opted for a double hamburger.....order it with onions, ketchup and mustard.....got it with cheese.....she took it back....brought me a new burger, per my order.....it was so salty I thankfully had ordered water for lunch.....I drank half the glass....it was so salty ....I sent it back....this is my second bad experience with this company....and the last...... read more

The manager Courtney could possibly be the rudest, nastiest manager of a food restaurant I have ever been to and that's saying a lot. I was SHOCKED that she is in charge. I called to complain about a to go order I received that was wrong. She was immediately snotty and rude even before I told her what was wrong. She sounded annoyed from the get go and like I was wrong for calling and complaining about the wrong and terrible food I received. I would give the food 2-3 stars (not much better). Courtney's attitude and the things she said to me were inexcusable and I called the regional/ corporate manager to personal complain about her. Worse wait staff EVER. Came in on a Saturday night; not that late but after the typical dinner hour. Waited at the host podium for 5 minutes (I looked at my watch) -- not a soul (wait person or host) around. Finally we saw a waiter and, without a hi, welcome or what the f!@# do you want, grabs 2 menus & says, "HOW MANY?" I'm like, "we're the only two standing here so I guess 2!!" After taking us on a tour of the restaurant because he didn't know where to seat us, he sits us in a section where we later learned was "closed" because the person who handled that section went home. We sat for about 7-8 minutes (I'm watching my watch the entire time) and husband says, "they have 2 minutes to acknowledge us & then we're walking out". About a minute later a waitress walks by and see me looking around and asks if we'd been helped. I said no and she IMMEDIATLEY takes our drinks and dinner order!!! KRISTEN saved the night!! She brought us our drinks, meal and was the sweetest girl, very apologetic and even comp'd our appetizers, which she didn't have to but did. Our meal came fast and HOT and was very good!! Even though she invited us back, next time we're going to Applebee's where we originally were headed to. read more

Giving this restaurant even 1 star is beyond what it deserves. I was on vacation nearby and me and a few friends decided to eat at Chilis. I love the one in my hometown, so it seemed like a good idea... I ordered a Chicken ranch sandwhich, what I usually get. I bit into it and felt something strange on the bottom. I flipped it over to find the bottom bun, as well as the chicken clearly had been bit into. I was so disgusted. What seemed even worse to me, was someone clearly knew about this seeing as a fresh top bun was put on. I obviously made quite the scene, and it took quite some time to get a manager over. His name was Tom, and he could have cared less. To this day, I can't beleive I didn't take this further and alert the board of health (I really, really wish I did), but as long as writing this may be able to inform someone to steer clear of this particular chilis, makes me feel a little better. I've never really had a bad experience at this location until today. A friend & I went there for her birthday lunch & split the 2 for $20 while her son got a kids meal. I ordered a sweet tea & when my waitress brought it to me, I took my first sip & it wasn't even sweet. Second problem I had is when she brought out our food, our fries were CLEARLY over-cooked. I'm part of the food industry so I know how it is & I try not to complain too much but this was horrible. As I was paying on the kiosk, I decided to write the complaint on there but my waitress comes up & practically gets in my face & started reading the complaint then proceeded to tell me that I couldn't write that complaint because it would come back on her & that her scheduled is based off things like that. I was in complete disbelief & thought it was just rude for her to even do that, or say that to me. Of course I didn't send the complaint because she made me feel guilty for writing my comment. I went here last night with my three children and my parents. We were seated right away but our food took an exceptionally long time to arrive, and when it did, my entrée was seriously disappointing. I ordered the mango-chile chicken because I've had it before and really enjoyed it, but last night it was terrible. The chicken was not grilled like it usually is. In fact, it looked like it had been boiled or possibly even microwaved! No browning on it at all--and it was rubbery. I never got a drink refill and when it was time to pay the check, we didn't have the Ziosk on our table. The waitress never gave me the check, just disappeared with my credit card. When she returned some time later, all I got was the merchant copy of the receipt--no itemized bill. I would have asked for it but she disappeared. And overnight, DOZENS of fraudulent charges were made to my credit card, which I find HIGHLY suspicious since it was gone for so long. I won't be returning to this Chili's -- and possibly any other Chili's -- in the future. read more
