We love this place. The chicken crispers are great and since I'm a veteran they treated me like royalty

Came in tonight for my birthday and from the moment we sat down we were greeted with the most unpleasant server. He seemed as if we were causing him annoyance because we sat to eat. I drive down here every other weekend and we usually eat here but this definitely tops the icing on the cake. My water had some black stuff floating in the ice so I asked the MANAGER for a new water and he brings me back a water with a green leaf floating at the bottom.. big and green. I'm not sure how that passed over the MANAGER but I supposed. He acted so shocked. Food comes out and food we didn't order hits the table.. chicken for the mango chicken looked like a toddler chicken strip.. we asked for a new piece and he assures he'll get it right. So he brings a plan chicken breast to the table with no toppings. My second margarita for the special comes out dethawed meaning they made it and let it sit until I was ready. Worst birthday experience. The manager needs management training and the servers need to find a new place to work if they hate their job so bad.. I've managed so many restaurants, this was so unprofessional and just the worst experience I've ever had. read more

We frequent this Chili's often - during this time of Covid-19, we have ordered take out at least 3 times. Each of these have been a great experience!! We've picked up food twice and had it delivered at least twice. Our order is always correct, the food is delicious and the team there really works their burrs off daily. I realize that this isnt a normal take out place but they have stepped up as well as they can for not having their whole team employed. We appreciate the manager, Paul Owens, and his talented team for all their hard work!! Thank each of you for a great experience. Absolutely horrible experience. So many items didn't come out w out meals. Then my chicken wasn't cooked, was still pink. Manager came to apologize & was prepared to make something else but my family had their food & they would have been done eating by the time my food came out so I declined. Who seriously wants to start eating at a place when their family is finished? Ordered strawberry lemonade and it was super tarty. Even after adding sugar to it. Normally have great service but tonight was bad. There were two large groups and one did leave shortly after we got there but the other group had not been there long and there were 20 plus people. Our order took over half an hour to come out and my steak was more well done than medium and it was very chewy. Servers barely checked on us because of the large group and the group was very loud. They sat is on that side because the other side was empty and they didn't want to have to clean again. Will be questionable whether I go back or not. read more

It's Chili's... The server was responsive and pleasant and the atmosphere is calibrated with corporate precision to be pleasant for the broadest audience possible. My steak was cooked to order, but had a strangely "enhanced" beef taste that I would call "chemical marinate." The broccoli was nicely cooked. The "skillet mashed potatoes" were good. They were clearly from a box, but none the less, very good boxed mashed potatoes. All in all, three stars in its class. Don't come here expecting anything spectacular. This used to be our family's go to in Orange City when we wanted an affordable family dinner out. However, after giving them several tries, the new constant seems to be bad service, bland food quality and long waits for your food and refills. After an hour and a half wait with still no entree last visit, we will never return. read more

We walked out. Five of us. I wouldn't have even given them a single star if it wasn't for the kind and apologetic hostess. After waiting 15 minutes for a table (although several were unattended throughout the area that we could see), we sat at our table for nearly another 15 minutes. I asked for a manager and was never given the chance to even see or talk to one. We were never even greeted to let us know that they (someone) would be with us shortly. I personally have worked in the hospitality industry for 18 years and would never allow a group of five, or even a single individual sit there without at least saying "Hello guys, someone will be right with you." This service or lack there of is unacceptable and I will never return. We were celebrating after helping a friend who recently moved to the area. Chilis just lost not only our table, but we also witnessed some additional people who were complaining at the hostess stand as well. We must have been passed by at least 4 different employees who had not even stopped to acknowledge us. I understand they may have been busy, or just understaffed, but the poor service is a direct reflection upon the management staff. I wouldn't ever try this location again. In the hospitality industry there is a saying,...."for every one person who has a bad experience (and that you lost as a guest) at your restaurant, you really just lost ten. The reason is because that one person is going to share their experience with at least ten people. Shame on the entire staff for just passing us multiple times and not even stopping to say hello. This used to be a once a week date night for me but it's just not the same. The 2 for $20 menu is what keeps me coming, but only for carry out. Unfortunately, the past few times I've carried out our meals the food was cold, a little less portions than the previous time, and not consistent whatsoever. The worst experience ever at a chili's. I order a to go order of steak fajitas and the bone in wings. When I opened the fajita order the food looked old and like it was just thrown into the container. The rice served with it was basically a spoonful of what ever they were able to scrap from the bottom of the pot. So my husband called to speak to a manager so we can have the order remade. Mind you we are not the type of people to send food back. So the manager apologized and my husband went to pick up the new order. While he was on his way back I took a bite of the wings and the chicken inside was raw. I sent a picture to my husband to show the manager and he just apologized and didn't even offer to replace or give us a refund. So the second order of fajitas comes out and when we open it the steak is undercooked and mushy. I don't know what's going on but whoever is in charge needs to get a better handle on things. The manager was very rude and dismissive we were told 20-30 min wait it took an hour. We were sat and the only thing my family was looking forward to eating though still on the menu was not being made as it as the waiter said " the combo meals are not being made because they are an a inconvenience to the kitchen. They did not have have a good shortage but if I wanted a combo I would need to order 3 full meals....." when I asked why they did not Inform the guest of this before our wait the manager let me know" it is just the way things are now you will have to get used to it." This is getting worst by the minute. How do the screw up baby back ribs? The dry rub was so salty along with the bread, yes bread. Fries not too far behind along with the "free salty chips and salsa" by the way no longer free check your bill, make sure you have the rewards or they will bill you for it. Worst experience in a long time at Chilis! The burger was filled at the bottom with garlic cloves and guacamole was spoiled. Of course, I informed them only to get another spoiled batch.The waiter than asked me if I'd like something else or to take it off my bill. I asked it to be taken off my bill only to check my bank account later on and saw she tipped herself. I called the location and informed them only to get that they were "sorry" and would investigate the money situation. With all due respect food poisoning needs more than a sorry and they should hire honest employees. read more

Chili's has been a place I have been going to for years. One of my favorites I would normally go 4-5 times a week for various meals and spend 50$ minimum. Recently, I have had an experience that has turned me and my fiancee away for the foreseeable future. Which is a lot of money lost during a time where businesses are struggling to get and maintain customers. I ordered the bottomless chips, soup, and salad. Recently I have been diagnosed with a condition that makes it difficult to swallow dry food. After eating, i asked for chips togo and some extra salsa as the salsa makes it easier to eat. The bartender informed me you can not get chips togo and then relayed it to the manager who came out and told us that the bottomless chips are in fact not bottomless and you can not take home any togo only the amount that may remain in the current basket. They did give us the chips anyway. If the chips were not bottomless then such things should be stated on the menu not kept hidden away as a secret rule only staff gets to know about. I hope something that they make probably a massive profit on was worth losing 10k plus a year of spending from loyal customers. read more

I cannot explain how upset I am with this place. It was my daughters bday and I took her there for lunch and we were served with food that looked like it was left over from two day's ago. She got chicken wings which came out dry and it wasn't even crispy. My fajita was just horrible Their vegetables were not pleasant. As if you can get someone sick. I didn't have to heart to throw it away or take it back in front of her so I bagged it and threw it away. I wouldn't even feed my dog that kind of food. Please hire employees that is on point with their hygiene and can cook also some of your employees need to be respectful of others especially when there are customers with children. read more

I really wanted to celebrate my birthday and have my margarita at chillis but it was sad when we walked into one of your restaurant located in Fl.. 939 Saxon blvd , orange city fl 32763 We walked in we were never greated we approached the hostess and and we asked him w like NH for the wait she said 45min the funny part was half of the restaurant was empty tables completely empty. When we asked from r the manager a gentleman came out with such an attitude he looked like he was ready to fight we asked why so long for the wait? He had no answer. He was very nasty. It's sad to see another Spanish family sitting there waiting when so many tables are empty but I guess this is how will get treated from now on. I just just everyone else can see how chilis treats Hispanic now so we won't step another foot into this restaurant. Very disappointed with my service tonight. The waitress named Ash was absolutely the WORST EVER, very un attentive, and forgetful. I have given this Chili's probably 20 chances, always expecting it to get better. Wouldn't you know, it never does? I understand that it's not always going to be top notch when you order to go, especially if you live a little distance away. When I take my first bite of Cajun Chicken Pasta, and I'm never not disappointed, I really don't know why I keep doing this to myself. This time was probably the worst experience I've ever had. When I took my first bite, I expected it to be dry, that's normal, but I expected some type of flavor. Instead, I got unseasoned Alfredo sauce? I had to put salt, pepper, and Everglades heat on it just to see if I could in fact eat it. I could not. I stabbed a piece of chicken and when I looked at it, I noticed a black spot. Knowing it's processed chicken, I didn't think too much of it and pulled it off. What I found when I did that was it was actually red, and it really looked like blood. Super grossed out after that and when I found a hair in it that wasn't mine, I was done. I moved onto the Texas Cheese Fries and when I tried to pull a fry out, it just tore to pieces. Now, I'm always down for reheating leftover cheese fries that I did not finish the night before but when it's blatantly obvious that you put them in the microwave for me so I could have an entire box of reheated fries? Yeah, that's gonna be a no from me. My boyfriend begged me to cut his burger in half so that I could at least eat SOMETHING. Well, I lifted that lid and what did I find? What looked like a school cafeteria hamburger, sloppily thrown in the box, with cheese that looked like it had started to brown (I wish now that I had taken a picture of this as I did my pasta). I'm honestly never one to complain about food because, hey, I love to eat! But when you're asking me for $30 and you're giving me something I would feel bad giving to a homeless man, we've got some talking to do. So, as sad as it is to say this because boy do I love spicy food and pasta (Cajun chicken pasta in theory sounds like the perfect meal) I just cannot stab my fork into another dry, grainy, flavorless noodle from Chilis ever again. read more

A while back I went here and have been here twice. The first time was ok and the 2nd was AWFUL. The 2nd time the tables were super cramped and the waiter seamed clueless. He kept messing up the orders and forgetting to bring what was asked. I had my 4 year old at the table and my wife ordered fajitas, but the waiter was explicitly told DO NOT BRING IT ON A HOT GRIDDLE, move it to a plate before bringing it to the table" cause I didn't want it popping all around my son since the table was so tight. It was 5 people at the table btw. Of course they brought it out on the griddle and had to be told again. Then the server was trying to get everybody's food on the table and was holding other people's hot griddles over their head. He even dropped food on one of the other members of my party, holding it over his head too. They took forever to get the check when asked to and by that time, some very obnoxious drunk morons had sat down at the table behind us so we were ready to get out of there. I'd be happy to never go here again and plan on making that a reality. The food wasn't great either.. someone ordered table side guacamole and they brought out some mashed up flavorless avacados. Not sure how that qualifies as table side, OR guacamole. read more

Our bartender was very attentive and we received both our drinks and food rather quickly especially since it was so crowded. Food was on par with other chili's locations. The place was packed due to Cinco de mayo, which I'm sure this isn't their first cinco de mayo, however they had 1 bartender on. She was taking care of all the serving staff orders and trying to run the bar. Needless to say, people at the bar were waiting for 10 minutes plus to get a drink, and so leaving. Don't get me wrong she was doing her best, but the genius who scheduled 1 bartender on one of the busiest drinking days should be fired. So dirty dishes and glasses were strewn on every surface behind the bar for over an hour. It was like a wasteland. I have the pictures to prove it. The food was good when it came no faults there. My last shot at chilis is the 2 for 1 margaritas. As it's cinco de mayo these should be good. Otherwise it's an insult right? Well they weren't. They were watered down and had less alcohol in them than the tap water. I didn't even want my second one. I didn't come out to drink juice. Shame on you chilis. It was like a lemon and lime juice. I arrived last night at 6:15 with my family. 2 adults and 2 kids (8 and 4 years old). Due to having young kids we have learned to order our food when we order our drinks. Within 5 minutes we had our chips and guacamole, which was great. Drinks came then too. Our food however didn't come until 7:20. Really? Two grilled cheese sandwiches, a burger and chicken crisper. Food was alright, but kids didn't want to eat bbq because they were ready to go. We ordered dessert only because it was my son's birthday. Took forever! Finally left around 7:50. I think I'm done with chili's. I've never been fooled by the all day happy hour. Each beer is about 8 ounces. Thoroughly disappointed! read more
