Hubby & I decided to stop in for supper. The ambiance was typical bar/restaurant with several TVs to watch sports. We were seated immediately & our drink order was taken. The server brought out drinks & asked if we wanted to order an appetizer. I ordered shrimp & steak fajitas ($21.59) & a side of guacamole ($3). The guacamole tasted freshly made & I highly recommend it. Hubby got Half rack of ribs with 2 sides, broccoli & mac n cheese ($21.69). Our food came out within 15 minutes & it was delicious. Hubby cleaned his plate so I know he enjoyed it. He said the broccoli was fresh & the mac n cheese tasted homemade. My only complaint is a minor one...the plate of shredded cheese, pico de gallo & sour cream for my fajitas was scant. It was barely enough for 2 fajitas & I had 4 soft tortillas. I ended up taking half of my food home (because I was full) & I ended up making 2 more fajitas at home with my own cheese, pico & sour cream. Once again, our order was short an item. Ordered 3 for Me. Substituted loaded Mac & cheese for the fries. It was listed on the receipt. And the box ticket. But guess who didn't get their item: me. This isn't isolated. Happens almost every time we order. Either a missing item(s) or wrong items. It's to the point that I'm embarrassed as a customer to keep complaining. Get it right, Chili's. This last visit they did really good! Food shown here was fresh, tasty, and I had some leftovers-which is always nice! A little pricey in my opinion overall as a restaurant but what you get. Last visit I got ribs and thought they were just mediocre-again especially for the price for their ribs. Service was prompt and the overall feel of the restaurant was laid back and family friendly. Chips and Salsa are really good here! I'll be back.. but would love to see some new options on the menu.. some more spicy options, and better/more flavorful ribs, ect. read more

Terrible experience! Ordered and waited 30 minutes before being told our order was messed up and waited another 10-15... for chicken critters and a quesadilla! We watched all the tables that sat after us get their food and start eating. When our food finally arrived the chicken was cold and they forgot our sides. To top it off, we found beard hair in the sauce cup! I'm normally a very understanding person, but too many things went wrong that we ended up just grossed out. Chili's is a great restaurant, and has great appetizers. I like the Triple Dipper, which gives you a sampling of a few items. For my Triple Dipper, I chose Southwestern Egg Rolls, Big Mouth Bites, and Fried Pickles. I have had Southwestern Egg Rolls a few times, and they are delicious. Big Mouth Bites are mini hamburgers, or sliders. They are delicious, and I would have them again. I have had a willingness to eat Fried Pickles again, since having them at Texas Roadhouse. They are as delicious as the other items. This makes a great meal. I enjoy eating at Chili's. read more

My wife and ordered the 10pz Sirloin dinner medium rare. They sent us out two of the flattest tiny steaks I'd ever seen and they were so well done you could've laced them up and worn them home. I sent my dinner back and said there's no way you can make a medium rare steak that thin. My wife decided to eat the sides cause she was hungry and they charged us for the entire dinner without offering to recook hers. $76.00 for 2 people. One didn't eat at all and the other had broccoli and a side salad. I ordered a cocktail and it was so watered down it was trash. This place was trash years ago them seamed to have gotten better for a while. Now you're better off eating dog food. Don't eat here it's trash. The only reason for two stars is the service was ok. Had dinner here early Saturday evening Memorial Day weekend 2024. Have to say it could not have been better. Had appetizer plate with sliders, cheese & southwest egg rolls. We noticed people that were here before us didn't get their food much more before we did, so this was not just us on this particular visit. Safe, casual dining experience with better taste than most. I ate here around Christmas with my Realtor. While we were talking in the crowded restaurant, you'd think that we'd not notice that the service was more than a bit slow. Of course, I can say that since it was the holiday time, they were less organized than usual. Fair enough? I like the food better than the alternatives, such as Applebee's, Ruby Tuesday (closed in Richmond), Sam Snead's, TGIFridays etc. etc. It's not great food, but it's better than average for a place like this. There was a time when I would order just Chili and Chips and Salsa, but they have a wide variety on the menu now, though the burgers seem to be extra large to compete with places like Red Robin. The best alternative in Richmond is Little Sheba's and it puts most every restaurant to shame. Update 2014.05.09: I met my contractor at this place today. Yes, realtor, contractor--I only eat out now with people now when selling or buying a house. The host set us down on the bar side, just after we were both commenting about it, having never really noticed it. I've been pushed back in the corner so many times, I've seen all of Richmond walk to the rest room. The loaded baked potato soup was good, not great, and came as a part of a package (soup/salad + entree) lunch. The burger bites were very good, as were the fries. For slider-type hamburgers, they were great because they were grilled instead of steamed. read more

I had quit going to this location about 15years ago and vowed never to return again because of multiple bad experiences. So I broke my vow (getting soft) and have given them another chance in the past year and have now had multiple good experiences. I always go for the unlimited soup, salad and chips. Horrible experience today at Chili's. I ordered the Chicken & Green Chile soup and a side item of seasonal vegetables. The order took awhile to get here and when it did the soup was cold. The server was very sweet and took it back. She returned, and it was obviously reheated via a microwave cos the top portion was a little bit hotter, but the bottom was cold. I just sucked it up and ate it. The vegetables came with a very rubbery cheese topping that I thought was weird. The entire meal cost $7.65 with tax and tip, which I think is kind of pricey for soup and a side item of vegetables (broccoli & carrots). No more Chili's for me! read more

Dined here recently and was very suprised to see cordless mini-monitors on each table. It was an interactive touchpad where you could browse the menu and actually order menu items as well as pay for the bill. You could also order and pay the old-fashioned way, but I found it extremely convenient to be able to swipe your credit card right at the table when you were ready to pay up. Great esp if you're having trouble flagging your waiter or waitress down. The monitor even prints out a receipt for you! Way cool! Foodwise I have found it to be consistently good from locations in CA, PA and now here in IN. I ordered the Texas cheese fries which consisted of fries loaded w melted cheddar cheese, applewood smoked bacon bits, jalapenos, green onions, and a side of ranch. Loved that you could order a half order or full order. Being that it isn't exactly the healthiest thing on the planet I went with the half order and it was perfect size for dinner (with a full sized margarita of course!) Ordered with the waitress who was friendly and provided very good service. My friend paid on the monitor just for fun and I paid via the waitress and all was well. One positive note you can say about Chili's in Richmond, IN, they are still struggling to serve a decent meal from their pedestrian menu. The margarita, chips and salsa were fine. Then comes my 'grilled' shrimp salad. Trust me when I say no grill was involved. The shrimp were the frozen, thaw in cold water, type. Nothing artistic about the salad, ingredients basically slung in a bowl, however as long as it's good - okay. Then I took a bite of the shrimp. Cold and watery. I politely asked the server if these were grilled shrimp. She took the salad back and 10 minutes later produced a new one, with the same watery shrimp which had been heated in a microwave. This restaurant is nothing short of a rip-off. Sad, as it used to be a treat to go there. No more. read more

Well we have eaten here many times, and this will probably be the last time. The food was mediocre, service was just alright. I for sure was not excited that we chose to eat here after our meal. The restaurant itself really needs some renovations. It's smells, the floors are terrible, the bathroom is disgusting and outdated. The whole restaurant could use a major overhaul. I noticed that this Chili's has recently gone non-smoking. So big thumbs up for that! Several years ago, this place had some really great employees and servers. However, they seemed to all leave at once and now this place just kinda sucks. Now that they've added those handy little computer screens at the tables, it's like the servers only feel they need to visit the table if they're being called. If you're a vegetarian, I don't suggest eating here. Very very few vegetarian options. I ordered a mushroom burger with a bean patty substitute on this particular visit, and they brought me out a regular burger with a side of black beans instead. That's something you just can't afford to screw up. What used to be one of my favorite dining spots in town has gone downhill so much over the past several years. I suggest O'Charley's or Texas Roadhouse if you're in the mood for this style of dining. You'll have a much better experience there. read more

I haven't visited chili's until my first time about six months ago. I have been to several different locations in this period of time and every one I visit has excellent food and service. As far as slightly higher quality chain restaurants go, I personally prefer certain aspects of Chili's over the others. This specific joint offers free wifi (that you need to log in for, simple and easy), table-top bill pay and menu screens that, as long as they are working correctly, add a high-tech plus to the venture. The bar is open, and features many TVs for multiple sporting events at any angle you may need depending on your seating. Food wise, I highly recommend the chips and salsa! I know it seems simple, but I'm a huge Tex-Mex fan, an dI love trying different chips and salsa combos, and Chili's seems to have some of the lightest chips with a smooth and tasty salsa! Also, we tried the Pepperoni Pizza, which I didn't even know they offered, and it was suprisingly great tasting, however a bit too oily for my liking haha! read more

The food is alway great! The service is usually friendly and attentive. Management will make things right if order or service is off. I love the changes I've seen over the last few years and how the management team steps out to be involved with the community. Whether it is donating materials, food or time they have not turned down an opportunity for exposure in the community. I will return and recommend this spot for anyone. read more

Food was good, service was TERRIBLE. The hostess didn't write our name down during the wait before we got sat down. We were told 25 minutes when we came in and told her our name. 45 minutes and seeing people who came in way after us getting sat before us, we asked how much longer for us and were sat when the hostess realized her mistake. Of course we got sat right next to the extremely loud kitchen where we could hear very inappropriate conversations. Took about 10 minutes for our waitress to come, she took our order like normal. Almost an hour and a half later, our food finally came. Our waitress came over whole we were waiting and told us we'd get a free dessert since it'd been so long. 30 minutes after we were done eating she comes over to clear the table and then tells us she'll ring in our dessert. While we were waiting on the dessert, we watched a waiter throw a paper towel at another waiter. The paper towel landed in the food the waiter was serving and he still proceeded to give the customer their food. Another person was bringing out clean cups to the drink station, and spilled a bunch of water on the floor. 4 other people walked over the mess without thinking of cleaning it up we were going to tip our waitress, but when I slipped a little in the water we took the tip back. Just finished dinner on 20 Oct 17. Service was bad from the beginning. Host was rude, waitresses that brought out food cackled at our table from afar, and the food did not taste as it should. One of our members complained about the beans and they did not offer another plate until the end of the meal... the time we lost our appetites. First, let me say that I've been informed that Chili's plays Christian rock on Sundays. Let me inform you that they also play it on other nights. I am back to tell you all about my latest experience, which was FANFREAKINTABULOUS. (I won't adjust my rating based on one good experience, though- even a monkey accidentally plays "The Mexican Hat Dance" sometimes.) My friend and I went in for lunch last week. Although the server got my drink order wrong, she immediately corrected it. That was the biggest problem with the whole meal. We split the California flatbread- delish, as usual. We got a side of the avocado dressing to dip it in- wonderful. It was aight in the Southwest dressing, too, but we both liked it in the avocado better. Also, this time the aioli didn't seem too heavy or cloying- must be a fine line. Then, for the first time ever, we decided to split the Sante Fe salad. It was fantastic! Delicious! Spicy! Cilantro-y! Creamy! Ohemgeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! They even split the salad, bringing it out on two plates even though I simply requested a couple side plates. Our server was all smiles and a delight. Yeah, so, that's my story, short and sweet, and in favor of the place for once. I figure as long as I stick with this limited menu of 3.5 items, I can continue eating there when friends insist upon it. read more
