Location: Cambridge City, IN I absolutely love this restaurant. Barely off I-70, it's worth the detour for breakfast or lunch. Open for dinner a few days a week... best sandwiches and fried sides anywhere. I have worked my way through most of the sandwiches, a few salads, and one or two of their entrees. Everything has been really good. Try the Lakeview burger if you dare - jalapeño's, peanut butter, and bacon works really well.

Been driving pass this place for a long time and just never gave it a chance. My go to breakfast spot just happened to be closed last Wednesday so I ended up here. What a happy accident. This place is awesome. First off it might be one of the cleanest restaurants I have ever been in. Everything was so shiny and bright. The service was fantastic as well as the food. My waitress is super nice and also gave me a menu to take home because I was inquiring about their dinner hours. They have an awesome patio out back that's right on a small lake and it also has a 21 and over bar section back there. After a fantastic experience at breakfast I am looking forward to coming back soon to try their dinner.

They actually have a full bar. Their website would never tell you that.

I am so glad I recently discovered this place! It's situated on the edge of a big lake. In warm weather its amazing because they have a beautiful outdoor bar and patio and you sit right on the water. The food is incredible and the pricing is very good. I have tried a lot of different items and have never had a bad meal. They also have live music on occasion. It's a great neighborhood restaurant/bar worth checking out. They also have a place down the street called Number ( Grill. It's also amazing.

I have not eaten here since I was a kid, and I knew they had closed and reopened at some point over the years. I came to eat here one evening with a friend, and they did not disappoint. We had Shrimp Scampi as an appetizer, and it was good. I was trying to save room for my meal. I ordered the Patty Melt Sandwich and Onion Rings and Coke Zero. All of it was delicious. They had a big crowd that evening, so they did not disappoint anyone. The service was great, and the waitress was very nice. If I am ever in the neighborhood again, I would probably stop by here again.

I know the chicken was bad-after 2x trying to get it done correctly-I don't ask for another one after that-the mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans and my wings were done perfectly-good vibes in the whole place-the service was good-nice to look out and see the geese in the water

I would recommend this place. It was very clean, even the bathrooms. The food was delicious. Orded the cheddar broccoli soup, grilled chicken sandwich, and Reubens sandwich with waffle fries. The waitress was polite and keep checking on us.

Great food and awesome view of the lake! Nice atmosphere and pleasant waitresses! I had the cod and French fries and my husband had the smash burger with bacon and the sweet potato fries! We strongly recommend both of these items! We will be returning to try other delicious sounding items on the menu!

Been here a couple of times over the past year or so (since it reopened). Place is nice and clean and our breakfast has always been good and service is decent. The front hostess/kids seemed a little annoyed to have to seat us (each time we were there... just not really friendly), but it's not the end of the world. The servers are better, though! You'll leave full and prices are decent.

This was my first time stopping into Lakeview since the recently opened. The remodel that they have done really brightened it up, and made it very welcoming. The service is very good, and just like the building very welcoming! I enjoyed the Cod sandwich minus the bun and it was very good. The fish was not over greasy, and was nice and crunchy. I can't wait to try out more of the menu!

Good hot food, friendly service, and pleasant atmosphere. Off the main highway but was worth the side trip. Cod fillets were very good.

Apparently, Lumpy's is a favorite of the locals. The staff calls the regulars by name. Everyone else is "Honey." I was "Honey." There was a table of regulars drinking coffee and talking politics and shooting the bull. It's a salt of the earth kind of local diner. A table opened up by the door after ten minutes. The menu is filled with comfort food. Most meals under $10. Nothing fancy, omelettes, burgers, sandwiches. Our server was sweet and recommended the tenderloins. The dining room is simple. Chairs and tables and a few booths. On the back wall are old photos of veterans. Local veterans being remembered by the cafe. My husband had the Big Tenderloin (which is award winning) with seasoned fries. The tenderloin was as big as his head. The meat was moist and tender and the breading seasoned well. The fries were crispy thin-cut with a few spices. He ate half the sandwich. I had the Crispy Chicken Sandwich. It was also seasoned with a crunchy breading similar to the tenderloin. The meat was moist. The cole slaw was creamy and sweet....delicious. They do a robust business in-house and carry out. If you are looking for avocado toast and and oat milk latte, this is not the place to come. If good old comfort food will suffice, then it just doesn't get better than Lumpy's.

The facility was quite nice, especially for being appended to a gas station. Its decor was as nice as most coffee shops of any kind. I tried the coffee and was pretty happy with it. But the Greek donuts were the highlights. Unfortunately, they were out of banana sauce so the Funky Monkey loukoumades were not available. That was a disappointment but the traditional (honey, cinnamon & walnut) and the Nutella loukoumades were terrific. The service was very good as the woman who took care of us did a very credible job even though she was the only one working. The prices were also reasonable, making this a good value.
