Waited 30 minutes for an order that was placed in advance online. My first sign of trouble was the parking area near the To-Go door had many cars and most were running. Several other patrons had been waiting as long as I. One of our orders was missing the main ingredient-chicken. Since the order was covered in cheese, we didn't notice until we were home. I have NEVER been to a worse Chili's in my life. My experiences have always been poor but never this bad. I ordered curbside and my app wouldn't work so I called to let them know I was there, twenty minutes go by and my food isn't brought out. I just think they're busy but I finally fix my app and click here and they bring it out almost INSTANTLY. They knew I was here and I explained my app wasn't working to click "here" yet they didn't bring it out until I did that. Whatever, I have my food.... no silverware which i selected on the app. My shrimp is so unbelievably burnt and rubbery i can't even eat it. Chili's is as Chili's does... If you are a Chili's fan you certainly won't be disappointed by the location in Pottstown. This location is easy to get to, the food is always hot and fresh, the service is always reasonable and the people are super friendly. They almost always have some kind of special going on and it is just an all around good place to grab a bite when you don't want to spend a lot of money but still want a good burger, fajita or plate of nachos! Wifey and I frequent this location and have always been pleased. At one point Chili's was running a special -- if you check in at a Chili's in Foursquare you get a free chips and salsa. I did so and asked my server... she had no idea what I was talking about. But within minutes, she found out and credited us the cost -- easy as pie! read more

Tonight was a Monday night and there were maybe 5 tables seated. My family of 4 got there at 6:40pm and we were told that it would be a 25 minute wait even though there was no one line and probably 30 open tables. I said that I wouldn't wait that long and then the hostess said "oh maybe more like 10 minutes because we need to clean off some tables". We had to wait in the car and they called 5 minutes later. We walked in at 6:48pm. We ordered drinks and chips immediately. My two kids' drinks and the chips showed up within 5 minutes. Our glasses of wine never showed up because the bartender was nowhere to be found. Finally our waitress went behind the bar and poured us a glass of wine after waiting 20 minutes. We ordered a double order of chicken fajitas and a grilled cheese so, all in all, two meals. After 45 minutes the waitress came out saying that they ran out of chicken and had to cook more. We started seeing people that came in after us, walking out with their leftovers because they had been sat, fed, billed, etc. and we still hadn't even seen our food. Finally after an hour and 10 minutes our food arrived. Our "double order" of chicken fajitas was enough for 4 fajitas and they gave us one order of rice, one order of beans and one boat with the cheese and salsa so really they claimed to have given us a double order but it was a single order. They barely apologized and said that they were short staffed because people can make more on unemployment. They didn't comp us on anything and upon relying "we don't want to wait another hour" after being asked "do you want any dessert?" the waitress said "I really don't have anything else to say". I have always love Chili's, and the curbside pickup is a great option during COVID, but my last two experiences have left me hesitant to continuing ordering takeout. Both times, I have ordered the triple dipper and received the completely wrong food items (not even close to what I asked for, and were items I don't like). The first time 0/3 of the items were accurate, and the second time 1/3 was accurate. The first time I chalked it up as an honest mistake, but now I'm left wondering if they even read the order, or just throw in whatever they want. It's incredibly frustrating to look forward to a meal, and spend the time and money to go get it, only to get home and find that it's not what I ordered and be left with the options of eating something I don't want or making a new meal. read more

They remodeled a while ago and changed up managers I believe. After all that, and changing their menu around, Chili's is once again a great place to eat and Applebees isn't even close. Granted, Chili's misses out a bit on appetizers but their redesigned chicken fingers and fajitas make it a thumbs up. The servers have improved as well. I'd give it 3 1/2 stars. Ate there today. Our first time ever at a Chili's. I gave them kudos right off the bat because our soda and iced tea did not come with a straw already in the drink. (I've been trying to make it a habit of refusing straws at restaurants because they are an environmental nightmare.) I was in the mood for a beer. Their selection was the usual cheap crappy fare, but the menu said ask about their craft brew menu. Our waitress apologized because she said, well, they don't really have one. They only had a Sam Adams on that "craft beer menu." She was great; attentive and very pleasant. We got the endless tortilla chips and salsa. They were pretty good. The salsa had just enough kick and the homemade chips were light and crispy. My bf had the ribs. He gave them a thumbs up. I had a buffalo chicken sandwich. My only complaint for our whole meal was the lettuce that came on my sandwich. I absolutely hate when restaurants serve brown lettuce and also use mostly the white core part-yuck! Woulda given a solid 4 stars as far as it being a decent chain restaurant, if not for that sad iceberg lettuce. I try not to eat at many chains but we were hungry and driving thru on Rt. 100, so we stopped there. read more

Very Disappointing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We ordered online at 5:30 PM for a 7:00 PM pick up. The food was not ready upon arrival and we waited an additional 35 minutes. People ahead of us were so frustrated about the wait, that they left Chilies without their order. Several customers actually brought their orders back, because they were wrong. After observing that the employees were putting the food into containers without wearing gloves, and masks down off their faces, we decided to just get our money back. The wait was a minor issue, but not wearing gloves and masks is unacceptable, especially now. The Manager was nice enough and gave our money back, but we will not be going back anytime soon!!!! read more

Awful "to go" section. Do not order from here if you want quick food. My order was supposed to be ready at 5:45-5:50. I am sitting here now at 6:20. It's my husbands birthday and this is our dinner. I called over 10 mins ago to say they were waiting on the salad. Why does it take over 10 mins for a salad to be made? And why wasn't it ready at 5:45-5:50 like it said? unfortunately this is the second time I tried this location and it will be the last. I had hoped the first time was just a bad day, but it seems they have too many high school kids "running" this place. Myself and a girlfriend came in Friday night for dinner. Two high school age girls stood at the hostess stand. No "hello, how many?"....just stood there and looked at me. I said "HI, two please?" and was told a 20 minute wait. ok, no problem. During our wait, a woman who clearly was disabled came in. She was having a hard time standing to wait (the waiting area was FULL, we were all shoulder to shoulder) and she asked if she could sit at one of the open bar tables to wait her turn. The girls seemed to have issue with this and told her "no", but she sat anyways. GOOD. She isn't asking to be served, she just needed a place to sit! Once myself and my friend were seated, we met our waitress. We sat in the back area by the restrooms which I quickly realized was no-mans-land. You get forgotten about. She took our drink orders, returned to take our food order, and from then on it was impossible to find anyone. My friend ordered chili, salad, and a chips and salsa app. I ordered fajitas. First to come was the chili. Odd, since this was part of her "dinner".....no sign of chips. The person who dropped off the chili was not our waitress so we waited. After my girlfriend picked through her chili which was NOT good (beef, dry in "chili" sauce, no beans or other veggies, and a ton of these tortilla stripes on top)...we flagged a young man down asking where the chips and salsa were. his response was "ohh....you didn't get that???" and ran back to the kitchen to retrieve them and apologize. Finally our waitress made an appearance, and apologized that she "forgot" to put them in. Next my fajitas and the salad came out. The food was decent. Nothing amazing. the beans were room temp if not coldish in a cup? unsure if they should be but whatever I still ate them, I was starving after just getting our chips only a few minutes prior. Needed a drink refill and finally got it before I finished my last bite. Once it was time for the check we were told to use the little table kiosk. I noticed on our bill it said something about table entertainment?? After about 15 minutes I was able to find our waitress who at this point stopped coming over to us...she informed us it was a kiosk game we played.....except we didn't play one??? She said her manager would have to override it...another 10 minutes passes and she comes back to say it should be off the bill. We pay and leave. We arrived at Chilis at 7pm and didn't leave til 8:45.....all for bad service, 1 cup of chili, salad, fajitas and chips. It should NOT take that long for dinner at chilis unless we had a big group. come on. It seems like there's a lot of inexperienced young kids running the show, more concerned with socializing and their phones. Multiple times we saw bussers and waitstaff with their cell phones out, while customers looked for their server. Never again. Went there with my two children ages 2 and 6 months and two friends for lunch. My 2 year old has a peanut allergy and when I asked if they use peanut oil for their french fries the waitress said, "Yes, what other side do you want?" Then she tells me they have an allergy menu. Perfect I thought. NOPE. She gave me a binder with over 20 pages in it and expects me to find the peanut free menu with ease. She could have at least opened up the binder to the certain menu page. When it came to getting the check, we asked her in advance to have separate checks. She hands us a combined bill for all parties. I ask again, and she said "You're going to have to wait." and walks away. Anyone with children know that having to wait extra time when your kids have about had it is beyond frustrating. Especially, when the extra time we waited we could have paid and been out of there. Save your money and go somewhere else. There is absolutely NO customer service in this place. read more

After calling briefly being placed on hold, then being told they do have a Happy Hour from 5-7, we arrived to the bar at around 6:45pm with only 3 patrons on a Thursday night. After waiting for about 6 mins. we were finally greeted. I asked if there are any happy hour or beer specials, and received the simple reply: "No". We ordered $5.25 draft beer, and reviewed the menu. Not sure why the majority of reviews are negative since I've never had an issue coming here over the years. Most recently got the 2 for $22 deal. Both half rack of ribs entrees were excellent with the House BBQ sauce. Meat fell right off the bones and fries were fresh from the fryer. Server was friendly and responsive when we asked for a refill on our drinks as well as chips and salsa appetizer. One time I did come for late night half-price apps and service was pretty slow but nothing that would keep me from coming again. I have been informed by a current employee, that a second employee at this Chili's location has tested positive for Covid-19, in the last few days. This is now the second employee in a 2 week time period, that has tested positive, and the restaurant has not been closed down for a deep cleaning. This not only puts the employees that have worked with these 2 people at risk, it also puts the Customers at risk. You are sending a message to both employees and customers alike, that making money for your business, is more important then maintaining a safe working environment. Something needs to be done NOW before this spreads throughout the restaurant. I will not order from this restaurant until something is done about this, and I urge everyone to do the same. read more

WHAT HAPPENED??? This was my favorite place to eat. Always fast and great. The last 2 times have been horrible. Today we waited almost 10 before our order was taken. Then waited longer than usual for our food. We got our appetizer half way through the appitizer our main course comes out. We ask about our soup then our soup comes out, so now we have soup, appetizer, and entree on the table. Now entree is getting cold as we finish the soup and appitizer. I expect more at a restaurant that averages $25. per person before alcohol. read more

So I love chilis. I always have. Their salsa is dynamite. My best friend and I would have monthly dates here years ago. As the years have come and gone, my best friend moved to Europe so my dates have been replaced by my boyfriend, but I have always come back - this place has gone to crap. Specifically, the service. As I mentioned, the salsa is awesome. Probably why I keep coming back and why I ask for two containers of salsa when I order the tables chips and salsa. In the past maybe 10 times here, I would say twice the server remembered the second salsa. It would be all good if I didn't know any better. The main reason I ask for two is because I know the server isn't going to check on me after she gives me this food unless I track her down and ask for another. I've also worked in food business for 10 years so I get it. But there really is no excuse to not give a lemon when someone asks for water or at least ask if you'd like one. It also takes a minimum of 7 minutes for our first drink and said chips and salsa. I don't think I was ever checked on after the food was given to us either. Refills? Might as well bring your own. If this was one specific server, it would be different. Not everyone is cut out to work in restaurants. It sucks but the money can be great. But I haven't had even a mediocre server at this chilis in literally years. Someone needs to step up and hire a whole new staff or retrain the employees. read more

Just recently went to this location after not eating at a chili's after several years. Very disappointed as my wife and kids go there often. The waiter was awful had to ask for a kids menu 3 times and my wife drink came in a glass soda bottle asked for a cup of ice and I had to go to the bar to get it after waiting 10 minutes. Food is subpar at best. Most recently my wife ordered grub hub Delivery from chili's and ordered shrimp fajitas and all that arrived was shrimp and some vegetables no Cheese salsa sour cream or tortilla shells. Placed an order online and received a confirmation. When I got there the girl behind the counter said it was only half done (note I arrived a few minutes past estimated pickup time). She then proceeded to restate my order to me as it she was confirming it when In fact it was never entered into their system. 4 other families came and went with their orders while I sat there for 40 minutes. Mind you she said it was half done. Then the kicker. They forgot one of the dinners. Came in alone on a kid less night , to get away. Wanted a quiet dinner with a beer so I sat at the bar. Couples with kids were seating after I ordered on both sides of me. Why is that allowed at a bar? I've been turned away with a child at other restaurants for trying to sit at dining tables in those places. Steak ordered medium which says just pink came out red, blood all over the plate. Forks worn down wouldn't stab the food, and took a while to order even tho only couple other at the bar at the time. My husband and I were given bad service! First of all we weren't offered chips n salsa. We didn't order an appetizer just ordered dinner. I ordered the marqarita Tex mex bowl. I asked for no black beans!! We seemed to have to wait a while..not having chips n salsa at all! She brought part of my husband's fajitas n then disappeared. She came back n said my meal was made with the black beans. She said it was being remade. She came back a few minutes later with it. It was very good!! She didn't check on us. She came back once. We visited this restaurant on Friday evening and had the absolute worst dining experience ever! I was there with my mom, and my 5-year old son. After arriving and placing our order a fight broke out in the kitchen! There was screaming and cursing that went one for about 5 minutes! The wait staff and customers were scared and the manger did absolutely NOTHING!!!!! First off the staff was so uncomfortable and I felt bad for them! Secondly the customers never got one apology from the manager!!!! He didn't even make an appearance the entire time we were there to make things right for his staff or customers!!! I was so appalled that an establishment like this didn't even have the decency to send a manger out and apologize! And when I say yelling from the kitchen, it was screaming and could be heard throughout the ENTIRE restaurant! Cops should have been called (it was that bad), yet nothing was done and the two people involved were still there working when we left! This place needs serious help and new mangers! I do want to say that there were two waitresses and and a waiter that were very nice (although appalled over the situation), and they seriously tried way harder than the manager did to apologize and it wasn't their responsibility to do that! I will not visit again if something isn't done with the manager that was on duty! He is certainly NOT management material and should be fired on the spot! read more

Went to Chili's three times in the last three months. I don't know why I went back, the food is good but the staff and service suck. The first time we waited to be seated, no one attended to us for 15 minutes, 6 or 7 staff members walked past us without making eye contact. I left in a huff and went across the street to Applebys. The second trip was OK the service was OK The last trip was last evening, There was a lot of discussing where to seat us in a half empty restaurant. When we were seated we were again ignored by the staff that would not acknowledge our presence. I had to interrupt a conversation by several staff members to ask for a server to take our order. A server was made to appear and apologized for the delay. Before my meal was done I requested a second drink, the server said right away and disappeared to chat with two other staff who were doing nothing. We used to love going here when it opened - the service was great and the food was good (for a chain restaurant). In recent visits the staff has become less than pleasant and has really gone down hill in the "class" department. In our most recent visit our server was friendly and when our appetizer arrived I asked for plates. She walked past us 4 times before she returned with them. Then there was a dead but in the silverware we received. The manager did take the entree off the bill to compensate for the dead bug, but our server pretty much ignored us for the remainder of the meal. When the food arrived it was terrible. I thought I would give it another try after many years because they started offering table side guacamole. Table side guacamole was good, but the chips were terrible. The chips were loaded with table salt and very thin. Chip broke with every dip. Things sounded good on the menu, but tasted blah and boring. I know it is a chain, but the food could have been better. I went into this particular Chili's on a Tuesday night. I am not a regular but have been there many times. Since I was dining alone, I took a seat at the bar. There were only 3 other patrons sitting at the bar and judging by their conversations, I'm thinking that they all worked at Chili's. The bartender (Alissa) was more interested in talking to her "friends" rather than seeing if I needed anything. Two of the three patrons were sitting together and were loud and boisterous. My daughter and I were there last night for dinner. It was taco Tuesday. $2 tacos. We got the Loaded white queso dip which was good but the chips were greasy and to thin to handle the dip. My daughter than got the chipotle chicken tacos. She was feeling full and gave one to me. When I first bit in it was very tasty but the second bite I came up with chicken skin that appeared to have been boiled. I mentioned it to the server and she didn't do anything. Needless to say we didn't eat anymore of the meal and immediately paid our check. We drove home (about 10 minutes) and as soon as I got inside I immediately went to the bathroom and preceded to vomit everything that was in my stomach. I could not control it. Needless to say we will never return. Since the restaurant was remodeled the staff has turned over and the food is horrible. The staff is also not very good and the appearance of the restaurant makes you feel like you are almost in a food court. It's such a shame. We use to enjoy going there as a family. read more

We were greeted by the hostess and I asked if we could have a booth. She said "Well, I really don't have any open." So we were seated at a table (no big deal). Upon looking around there were plenty of booths open in our area. It took a few minutes for our server to come to the table and take our drink order. The drinks arrived from the bar approximately 20 minutes later. Service was very slow and the restaurant was by no means busy. I always like Chili's food and bar service. Pottstown has limited places to enjoy the game while drinking a $1 pint after 9PM...this place is wonderful!
