Why send out birthday coupons if they won't honor them? I remember when restaurants used to give a person celebrating their birthday in their restaurant some sort of free birthday treat with a candle in it. Some of them would even sing to the recipient of some such treat. Those days are over. Recently my daughter received a birthday coupon from Chili's so she decided to celebrate her birthday there. She even handed her phone to the server when we first got there. The server told her to hand it to him again at the end of the meal. My daughter told him sure and we proceed to order. All four of us ordered from the "3 for" menu. At the end of the meal my daughter handed her phone back to the server and I asked for a dessert menu. Then he says that he has to verify the coupon with the manager. The manager comes back to the table and interrogates my daughter about what she ordered. She told him. He says that she can not redeem her coupon because of what she ordered. No happy birthday no nothing! My question is this. Shouldn't she have been told that she could only redeem it if she ordered from the regular menu when she first presented the coupon? When the waiter came back and asked if we wanted to order dessert I said no. Really? All this because they wouldn't foot the bill for a $2.49 dessert for someone on their birthday. Overall, the food is good, but their customer service and quite frankly the ambiance is lacking. I think we can find better places to celebrate our birthdays in the future! read more

I'm not a big yelper, meaning I rarely leave reviews. But I want to talk about my experience that I had today. I took my niece to lunch today, and everything started off great. And then about halfway through our lunch (my niece was almost finished) we both had to use the restroom. I informed our waitress that we would be right back. Returning to our table a few minutes later, I noticed that the hostess had completely cleared our table, throwing away our food. I wasn't bothered, because I've worked in the industry and know that mistakes happen. But the way the waitress and management handled the situation, was second to none. Excellent customer service!!! Very well organized friendly and helpful pick up from your car. The food was outstanding and a large diverse menu of choices. Dinner for five people drinks and tip $102 which averaged about $20 per person. Very reasonable and competitive in this covid-19 pandemic situation. Tried to give this location another try, should have never tried it. Went there for lunch today after a doctor's appointment, had soup and salad and we also got the 3 for 10. Server was rude and argumentative when we ask questions. We ended up just taking some soup and some leftovers home he brought us a cup for the soup in it we get home to have the soup put it in the microwave go to take a bite and there is plastic Lids stuck to the bottom of the cup melted into the soup that appears to look like the tops of their kids to go tainers from their Ranch cups there was two of them and the soup stuck together I will post pictures.. I was not upset about what had occurred until I tried to discuss my grievances with the on-duty manager. She interrupted our conversation two or more times while she talked to others, if she wasn't going to give me her time I was wasting mine so, I hung up. I will try to get to my grievance quickly. 1. DoorDash was given the wrong food to be delivered to me. 2. I called Chili's ASAP and told them that I received the wrong order and to please remake my order of burger and fries. I also had the name (Steve) and phone number of who's food order I did receive. I called (Steve) and told him I had his dinner. 3. I waited another hour and then finally called back and was told that DoorDash never returned to pick up my order. 4. When DoorDash did not return and both of my orders were sitting there getting cold Chili's should have given me a callback to inform me my order would not be delivered! Meanwhile, Steve calls me and tells me that he received his dinner and it was nice and warm. Yes, I could have eaten (Steve's) dinner that was delivered by mistake and been done with it but, it was spicy and I don't like shrimp. I used DoorDash for the first time because my car was in the shop. Plain and simple Chili's should have given me a courtesy call. Steve and I are now friends. read more

Came here with the family. I love their 3 for $10 dollar meals. Gives you plenty of choices plus you can add a presidente margarita for $5 bucks. I went with the chicken and pasta as my main and the enchilada soup as my app. Both items were were great. The pasta was not a small portion. I had to bring the pasta home. I ended up giving my soup to my son since he loved the soup and the fact he was hungry. My daughter went with the kids Mac n cheese. Poor daughter did not like the Mac n cheese and for this, she didn't eat her Mac. I tried my wife chicken crispers. These tenders are good. Good pieces of chicken and not the grounded up chicken you get at McDonald's. Overall this was a good meal. The food is good but when you put the sauce on it the it drops down and tastes like absolute fucking horse shit. It's like they make their own sauce, and don't have a fucking clue what they're doing. We arrived about an hour before closing, lots of empty tables and seated right away. The service was decent although our waitress messed up on my drink order and until I corrected her, she almost messed up our appetizers as well. It wasn't a big deal and I know it was late. We started with the fresh guacamole and honey chipotle boneless wings. Both appetizers were good, I still feel their wings are better than anything out there. We both went with the three item fajitas. I had the steak, chicken and shrimp. I thought the shrimp was overlooked and a little rubbery. We both felt the fajitas were average. Here is a list of some of my favorite yummy munchies at Chili's: *Chips & salsa: Chili's has some of the BEST tortilla chips around...very light and crispy. The salsa is fine, nothing to write home about. It reminds me of grocery store salsa in a jar. *Chicken Tacos: This is my go-to order. I love the fact that they use chicken breast meat and not weird chicken bits. The cheese is nice and melty and gooey, which is a definite plus. *Fire-Grilled Chicken Quesadillas: Lots of melty, ooey-gooey cheese and yummy chicken. We order 3 of the 3 for $10 deals with the sirloin steak medium well, we got all 3 plates back with all 3 totally different cooking temps. One still raw, one perfect and one super dry! (Way over cooked) ordered a margarita got it served in a soda glass bummer took the nostalgia away from it the loaded mashed potatoes seemed and spelled old so we didn't touch it. Sad to say the side salad and chips and salsa were the best of the whole experience. This place needs to be shut down. The food is horrible! My daughter got the chicken crispers, they should be called the chewy crispers. They were not edible. The fries were worse then microwave fries, and the corn on the cob looked looked like it had been sitting for awhile. The waitress was great so I left a nice tip, but the food was not worth it. The food was disgusting. We couldn't eat it. We packed it to go but decided to leave it. Waste of money.

I rarely ever come here and I haven't visited in a really long time. I decided to try something different so I took my teenagers here to eat. We were immediately greeted by a friendly hostess and when I saw "Rita" I made a face because I wasn't a fan of it. She immediately caught on and suggested that we sit in the bar area to avoid having to deal with the robot. Perfect! We sat down and was greeted by the bartender/waitress. She was very upbeat, friendly, and attentive, unfortunately I didn't catch her name. Anyway, we ordered our meals and the wait wasn't too bad. Unfortunately, my son's pasta was cold in the center but the bowl was warm so he ended up not wanting to eat it. I brought it up to the waitstaff that the pasta was cold just so they can adjust the cooking time for the next person. They tried to correct it but my son was full from the appetizer anyway. Ordered the cajun chicken pasta and was super disappointed. They barely put any sauce on it... It was almost like eating plain boiled penne. To make matters worse, my food was barely warm. Barely. Bad experience. Someone at my table asked for a side or ranch, they forgot it. I asked for extra Cajun seasoning on the side, they forgot it. A friends broccoli and chicken were both horribly overcooked. I didn't get a refill on my water during our whole dinner. They didn't clear our plates from our appetizers and our tabletop was crowded. Jennifer was our server and did a nice job. The only complaint with the actual service was that I really wish she would have let is know that they have a promotional 2 for $20 but we did not know about it when we ordered our appetizers. We would have preferred to order something like a 2 for $20. Oh well, next time we will make sure to tell the server to just get our drinks started and to come back in a little bit. As far as the Bar area, I would give them a 1 rating because we thought it was gross that the bartender lady was drinking her Starbucks beverage in the bar, no washing her hands before king back and forth. If I could give this place a zero or negative star, I would. On 6/23/20 we went to the To-Go parking and had a terrific guy help us. We had never ordered before so we did it on the app. He was so busy but he made sure we were not forgotten while we waited. Unfortunately when we go home they forgot to put everything we ordered in our to-go bundle. I called and the manager apologized and said he would send out a gift certificate for our dinner. We have yet to receive it. How long does it take to get from Turlock to Ceres? That said, on 6/27/20 we wanted to go there again and this time called ahead. I called around 6pm and the guy on the phone said it would be about 15-20 minutes. He was very friendly and helpful. However, when we arrived at the To-Go parking around 6:45/50, no one came out. There weren't a lot of cars and it was surprisingly slow considering it was Saturday! A car pulled up and he got out. He didn't look to happy. The gal came out and gave him his package. She didn't even say anything or even acknowledge that we were there. I called and said we were here. She proceeded to tell me that I can come in. I asked why would I do that? It's curbside delivery. She said someone will be out but wasn't too happy about that either. A few more cars came and went with the driver goi g in and paying and picking up. Around 7:10, we left. I called the manager and he just wanted to know what the name was so he could cancel or dump the order. He weakly apologized and said he would speak to them. Pleasantly surprised with my experience at Chili's. I have to admit my husband and didn't want to eat there, but the family wanted to go there. When my husband and I arrived the rest of the family had already been seated. As soon as we were seated, Martina, our server, promptly greeted us and asked what she could get us to drink. She was AMAZING throughout our experience. Our waters were never less than half full, she was knowledgeable of the menu, and made our experience a positive one. The speciality margaritas were DELICIOUS. Everyone had some sort of lunch combo. The tortilla soup was delicious and the quesdilla was cooked perfectly. Great spot for a quick and affordable lunch.
