Came into the Chili's in Vista yesterday. Even though it was so packed (Friday night... what was I expecting lol), the service was outstanding. Our server, Dom, was incredibly kind, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of the entire time without ever making us feel rushed. You could tell he genuinely wanted to make our experience a good one! Huge shoutout to the person who brought us the food, Jordan, who went above and beyond with checking in on us, making sure everything was right, and bringing such a lovely energy to the table. He stood out so much that I actually asked him for his name because I wanted to make sure he got recognized! The food came out pretty fast and was pretty good, and the service honestly made the whole experience even better. First impressions were not the best as, the parking lot had so much trash like used pampers, socks, half eaten apples etc. our waiter Brian was a very pleasant young man upon greeting us. Please thank his parents/people that raised him- he is courteous and very well spoken. We had the 3 for me and every thing was delicious. We were going to a concert Saturday evening and decided to get some dinner before heading to the venue. It had been at least 6 years since we went to a chili's and decided to give it a try since theres one a couple blocks from us. We arrived around 5pm, and there was absolutely no parking in their main parking lot. We ended up parking by Staples, but other couples were doing the same, so this must be the norm especially for that time frame on a weekend. Upon entering, it looked just as how I remembered it. It was clean looking from what I could see at the entrance. We were then greeted with a smile by the hostess. I let her know it's just the 2 of us, and she let us know we can have a seat at a table or pick any spot at the bar. Since we were slightly on a time crunch, we opted for the bar which wasn't busy at all. She did mention it was happy hour and I told her thank you so much for letting me know! Haha After choosing our seats, we quickly were greeted by the bartender who instantly was a ray of light! She welcomed us and gave us our menus. I asked what was on happy hour, and she let me know there wasn't any happy hour on the weekend and that she will let the hostess know. That was totally okay, mistakes happen and I saw there was a deal for lemon drops at $6 anyway! I opted for that option and my boyfriend ordered a Michelobe ultra. She was SO quick, and got our drinks to us fast. We then placed an order for the trio appetizer and got the southwest rolls along with the honey Chipotle mozzarella sticks and buffalo mozzarella sticks. When they came out I was so excited! Both had good flavor but the buffalo definitely was my winner and had the best cheese pull where the honey Chipotle was a little on the dry side with the cheese solidified inside. We still enjoyed them and quickly ordered our meal after we finished them. I ordered the Ribeye medium rare with loaded mash potatoes and broccoli, and my boyfriend ordered the smash burger with fries. Both orders came out super fast, which was wonderful. My boyfriend enjoyed his burger, but unfortunately, my steak was MUCH more on the rare side. I ended up just taking it home so I can just heat it up to cook a little more the next day. What saved this visit was our bartender because she was absolutely on point and wonderful to talk to. I'd definitely come back to check this spot out again, but next time around, I'll probably order something other than steak. read more

We love Chili's. Our local Chili's restaurant has become a family staple. They never disappoint. Customer Service is always excellent. It's a fun place and they have a rotating cocktail of the month menu. The chips and salsa are abundant. We love the three for me menu, which is very reasonably priced. The booths are big and comfortable. They have plenty of seating for large groups as well as small tables for couples. It's a great place. On this particular occasion, we each ordered the old timer hamburger. My husband and I both agreed that it was one of the best burgers we have had in a very long time. The bun was perfectly soft and did not fall apart. The meat patty was cooked very well and the price was right! This is a great family restaurant. read more

We come here often with the grands. Lately, some of our visits have been hit or miss but this time it was a huge hit. Amber was our server and we sat in the bar. She greeted us and was friendly and smiled. She offered us menus and beverages and silverware, and she gave us time to look things over in the past. We've had trouble with all the courses coming out at the same time so by the time you get to the main course, everything is cold but when we ordered our meal, we asked that she put the main course in in about 10 minutes so we could enjoy our salad. She actually agreed and said they do serve the food too quickly! Our salads were brought out timely. They looked wonderful. They tasted good. We had soda refills and our main courses brought out about 15 minutes later we had a chance to visit and to laugh and a drink lots of soda. All the hot stuff was hot. All the cold stuff was cold. The burger was amazing. I asked for extra pickles everything was perfect. Amanda checked on us often. She seemed to run her section very professionally. I was very impressed with her people skills. Chopped, not rings so I didn't notice until 3-4 bites in. It's all good. I took most of it out. My request is listed on the ticket so it's either the cook's error or another patron got my burger and I got theirs. No biggie. Other staff was great too. One server, one runner, and the hostess. We went here with family and friends and honestly had such a great time. We were seated right away and our server, Jeanette, was amazing. She kept drinks filled without us even noticing, was so sweet to my 8-year-old, and had that perfect balance of checking in without hovering. Huge kudos to her! My friends and I have gone here after church or even after the Vista parade. Overall, great service and we usually get seated right away. Lots of parking. Food is delish. Once in a while, there is a delay like after the Vista parade or any other event that causes the area to be swamped because everyone just wants to eat. Patience is key during those times. We went to Chili's in Vista to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday with three generations of family, and unfortunately, the service was absolutely terrible. Our server, Armando, was very kind, but the service was a disaster. We had to ask multiple times for everything--drinks, even silverware, napkins, and water refills. Our orders were incorrect - all but 2 had the wrong sides, and three of our eight guests received their entrées a full 15 minutes after the rest of us. We had no silverware when our meals were brought, and four of us with ribs had to scavenge for extra napkins ourselves. Dirty dishes piled up on our already cramped table, and paying the bill was another ordeal with mistakes separating our checks wrong, and long waits to get our change. As someone who has worked in the service industry, I know how important it is to be attentive and efficient--this was the opposite. It was a frustrating and disappointing experience, especially for a special occasion. It was certainly strange to have Armando be such a nice person, but really not have his act together in terms of anticipating our needs and hustling to get things right and make sure we had a good dining experience. Great service before closing--SOLID 5 stars! We came in about an hour and a half before closing with a group of six plus a toddler, and the staff was so accommodating. They got our drinks and food out quickly and everything was spot on! I ordered a burger that honestly reminded me of In-N-Out--but better because it had this amazing sauce that just hit the spot. My son enjoyed every bite of his meal too that he kept asking for more. Perfect late-night family dinner! Great service, great food, and a really positive experience all around. Thank goodness for the drinks and French fries, it was the only thing I can eat being plant-based and vegan. Yes, there are several meat-free options but the black bean burger still had a diary sauce. I asked my wonderful server to have them remove it. Once I got the burger, it was so dry and bland. We added ourselves on to the waitlist from home so that when we arrived it wouldn't be a hassle. When we did this there was a "0 minutes" on the list for a wait. We arrived they said we weren't on the waitlist. We showed them in our phone our reservation. Both Vanessa and Trini were VERY rude. Did not budge, did not want to see our phone and essentially we were told too bad and to have a seat. Exceptionally unprofessional and non customer driven oriented. So we conceded and sat and waited and waited. Finally they had a table. We walked past booths that were open that only seated two. Walked around that area where they had open tables for four. Walked right back to the very last table that sat four. Right by the restroom and kitchen. You know, the table that no one wants. I do not understand why they were rude and then sat us in that area. The table opposite of us sat empty for the longest time until we were ready to leave. Now the ONLY reason we stayed was because it was getting late and we were tired. The food was good, per typical, and our server was great. Usually you get a "thank you" when you leave. Not surprisingly that did not happen either. Poor form, extremely poor form. read more

We came here on a whim and we were pleasantly suprised starting with our waitress her name was Kyla and she was such a gem she was so funny we were laughing so hard with such good jokes next the food I didn't know chili had game like this WOW the mozzarella sticks cheese pull was amazing there wings were surprisingly really tasty I loved the buffalo sauce ranch was great the big bites (little burger) could maybe be a pass but there still good. We planned to just treat ourselves to a bday rewards dessert but the menu got us wanting a snack so we got the sampler three choices. Carly recommended the crispy chicken strips saying they were juicy and upon getting them they didn't look all that great but we tried them and wow! Yes they are juicy and delicious. The burgers were good except for the bacon fat bits. Anytime I get bacon on pizza or burgers or salad it seems the fatty bites dominate. So that's unfortunately just how it is. I just took those pieces off and all was well. Carly was so helpful. She never annoyed anyone, but never neglected anyone E either. She had several tables and no one wanted for anything. we had THE BEST service today (feb 27, 2026). i wish i could remember the server's name but she had colored blue-green hair and a mask. she took our orders immediately, brought us our drinks less than a minute after we ordered them and kept asking if we needed anything every 5-10 mins. everytime i had 50% of my diet coke left, she would immediately get me a new one and our waters were constantly being refilled. this is the best service i have ever received. ever. i hope she reads this!! thank you for the amazing service! read more

The food and service were great as usual, so I'll get right to my warning to all customers regarding an unexpected charge on your bill that will need to be searched for. While waiting for our server to arrive, we tried to initiate a game on the computer pad present on the table. We tried but were unable to do so before our server arrived to take our order. While waiting for our order, we did try again but did not actually play any games. At the end of the meal when paying our check electronically via the same computer pad, I noticed the check total seemed a bit high. Using the "Check details" button, I examined the pricing and noticed a $2.99 "game fee" had been unknowingly added to our tab. When I questioned our server regarding this "game fee", she asked if we played a game. We responded that we did attempt to, but there was a definite lack of any advanced notification regarding any fee. She in turn referenced a memory of some very small print as notification (which could not be located anywhere in the software). She then stated "Well, the old system used to tell you", followed by nervous laughter. To her credit, she did offer to remove the surprise fee which we accepted. An assistant manager also happened to approach our table at which time I discussed the fee (and the lack of notification) with him. His response referenced the "new system" doesn't alert customers to this charge followed by nervous laughter and a noticeably abrupt departure from our table, presumably to evade any further questioning about an uncomfortable topic. I find it very odd this surprise charge is common knowledge to staff, but no notification is offered anywhere to customers that it will happen without the customer's knowledge or consent. Advice to the store: Don't laugh when a customer catches you padding their bill as this will only serve generate negative opinions about the staff and the location's business practices, both of which allow this to go on and does not warn customers. It would be great if you could express to ownership the desire to have customers treated better. Unless something has a visibly published price attached to it, your customers are going to logically assume it to be free. read more
