This place is the worst! There nothing good I could say about this place. I ordered an Arnold palmer and it tasted like dish water. The food my family ordered tasted like it was frozen and made in microwaves. So basically if Gordon Ramsey was there he would have spit it all out and said it tasted like shit, plus a few other choice words I'm sure. The restaurant was super dirty, we should have left when we walked in and was seated at our table because our table was still dirty from the previous meal that was served at that table. We had to ask the waiter to clean the table and had to ask for more silverware and napkins. We were there around 4 in the afternoon, so it was pretty dead and no excuse for a dirty table. Our waiter was nice but not that attentive. Which again, it was 4 pm and like only maybe 5 other tables had people seated at them. Anyway, don't be fooled by the commercial of the "dinner deal" 2 for $22 or whatever, it's not worth your time, your stomach, or your hard earned money. There are two reasons chilis is getting four stars. Firstly, they have great happy hour, and bomb presidente margaritas. It's fun to pour your drink yourself gets your costumers to interact with their company. Also, they have a New spicy chicken & waffles..comes with bbq sauce..all theses spices and sweetness with waffles is an orgasmic feeling in your mouth. Go try it! I strongly dislike writing poor reviews but feel the need to. We ordered to go. Buffalo Chicken salad, white queso dip and a Smokehouse combo. Now to be fair we should have checked our food before leaving but to be honest I'm pregnant and hungry, plus we literally live 5 minutes away, didn't think much of it. Upon arriving my boyfriend was informed our order was ready, they were just waiting on his food, the Smokehouse combo. When we got home all of his meal was wrapped in foil, he opened it up and every single thing was cold, corn sausage and 3 tiny pieces of chicken and a soggy piece of toast...So was the queso dip. My salad, the chicken looked good after I mixed in the dressing I realized...hardly any lettuce. Never have had a problem when we eat at the restaurant. Ordered through DoorDash yesterday afternoon and requested both of our burgers NO pink because I am pregnant and I can't eat undercooked meat, and my little brother won't eat rare meat anyway. Both burgers arrived very rare and bloody almost raw despite order tags correctly reflecting our requests. Fries were cold, tough, and rubbery like they were old, but honestly the burgers were the main concern because it's a huge food safety issue and someone could get very sick because of the kitchen's negligence. Unfortunately we were unable to eat the bulk of our food and had to report it to DoorDash. I just wanted to inform the restaurant so that no one else especially a fellow pregnant lady risks getting ill from undercooked meat from a kitchen that clearly doesn't care. read more

Chili's has good beyond burgers. I usually get the mushroom swiss burger. The southwest eggroles are really good too. Their staff is always friendly, and the bar tenders even know how to have decent, friendly conversations. A good place to eat out with your family, and have a pleasant night. read more

So about an hour ago, I just came from chills with my good pal John. It all starts great when we walk in the door. The extremely nice hostess asks me, "would you like a big booth or small booth?" Both sections completely separate from each other with two different severs. Little did I know that my greedy decision for a big booth would lead me to a lunch with our server Irene. First mistake. We sit down, so far so good. After waiting 7 minutes for our server at a dead lunch hour, we finally are greeted by the one and only Irene. Where to begin? Let's start with her sarcasm and her chronic "mean girl face". If you work with this girl, you know what exactly what I'm talking about. Right off that bad we get these nasty negative vibes. When we asked for little things like napkins, water, tostada chips, she would give a rude remark in a way she thinks she was sly. Second mistake. Now I've worked in a restaurant for many years. I know the ins and outs and especially the different personalities that work together. Here is where I feel violated as customer. When a restaurant is busy, people who are clocked in and working are focused their tasks and are extremely productive. When a restaurant is dead, servers loooove to gossip. So the way I was seated, I was facing the servers wait station. Immediately after my pal John asks Irene for some napkins, she walks over to all her servers and starts bashing on us. As she's ranting obnoxiously, both her and a couple other servers were mad dogging us hard. It was very uncomfortable eating my food with the whole team watching my every move. Third mistake Irene. Another issue we had was we were neglected and rushed. You can tell she wanted nothing to do with us. Literally 2 minutes after we get our food, she comes with the check and says "just for convenience ". Here's where her consistent sarcasm comes back into play. Her tone really was saying "hurry up". Immediately after that she stopped refilling our drinks and checking on us. We had to ask a manager in a blue shirt to refill our water. Last mistake. One thing I didn't understand is what we did to deserve this server. The whole time we were respectful and did not return her ugly sarcasm (as easily as we could have) Overall the food was great! I really enjoyed the chips and salsa along with the big mouth bites! My pal John says his guacamole burger "was pretty good. I don't feel too stuffed. Perfect portions" One thing I can say to the manager at chills. If I had didn't get Irene you would of had a 5 star review. I have been going to chilis my whole life at different locations across the state. It's really interesting how someone's experience can change over one bad employee. One thing I can say to the coworkers of Irene, good luck putting up her. The one lesson that anyone could learn from this review is that you shouldn't be greedy. Take the smaller booth. read more

Eh decent service, below average food. Every time I sit at a booth here I feel dirty, from the tables to that new touch screen menu, it just all feels gross. I've never experienced a server with a truly great personality. The food used to make me extremely sick after every visit so I hadn't wasted my time for a few years. Recently I began coming again because I've heard good things about the drinks/happy hour. Still not a huge fan. Last night, the girl who was in the managerial outfit stormed around everywhere she went. I gave her a passing smile a few times and she had the worst stank face. I will never pick chilis on my own. Well, automatic star deduction for damn near everything on the menu being spicy. That said everything else about this place suh-ucked big time. The waitress we got was a moron who forgot nearly everything we asked of her except our food order. She gave us the wrong change TWICE. I ordered a Quesadilla salad and they gave me the dressing for the Asian Salad (it actually tasted pretty good but still). Food at any Chili's reminds me of McDonald's, despite the wider variety being offered. There is a bland, homogeneity to all of it. Food prep is all SOP corporate-driven, of course, which leads to consistency no matter where you go, but nothing on the menu will have you amazed and craving more. In particular, their attempts at TexMex are deplorable--just utter crap. Having patronized this location many times due to proximity, this particular Chili's has always been inconsistent, however, when it comes to the training and attitude of servers. For example, never ask a server in the bar area (where we usually sit) exactly what a particular drink will cost...they NEVER know, but will merely offer a guess that is usually not anywhere near what it rings up as. If you challenge them, you'll just get a shrug and a "sorry"...that's it! I think they must pool tips, because none of the bar area people are efficient or overly friendly...they just have no desire to exceed expectation. Some even have an attitude, when you've asked them three times for a condiment, while your food gets progressively cold. Sometimes I wish I could function as a secret shopper for restaurants. I don't think management often has any idea how their employees destroy continued business. I understand that the people who get these jobs aren't high in the gene pool, but training in hospitality and menu knowledge seems totally lacking. I won't go to Chili's anymore, anywhere, period. My wife concurs: enough is enough...not wasting our money on execrable food and rude service again! Reading through all the reviews here, it's easy to see they have critical problems: some bad eggs as servers, slow/inefficient service and long waits for food. What else is left? And they wonder why their business has decreased so drastically? I have managed people before; if I WAS the manager at this location, I think I'd watch, listen and ask customers for feedback for a few weeks. Then I'd give the poor performers a warning, start training new servers, and progressively get rid of the jerks and slugs. Chili's is a place where the food looks pretty close to the menu photos, which is actually a decent trick a lot of restaurant can not do. As a result, you usually get a decent meal for a fair value. We had a coupon for a free appetizer, which are no longer good on the flatbreads, so we got some mediocre boneless wings. Got the rib eye steak with mashed potatoes and corn - cooked right and took half home for another meal. The "California Turkey Club Toasted Sandwich" was a great deal for about $9. It was on really nice toasted bread and full of ingredients (Thinly sliced turkey, applewood smoked bacon, fresh sliced avocado, tomato & red onion with Swiss cheese, lettuce & cilantro mayo on wheat Texas toast.) Took half of it home for another meal. The service was good and it was not very noisy, so we enjoyed our meals. We also like the one at 2627 Vista Way in Oceanside, which is about the same distance from us. It's almost a coin toss between them. read more

I'm really confused how this Chili's only has 3 stars. Their happy hour is awesome and the food is never a disappointment. Their drinks have never been watered down, which most restaurants do to save money, and I always have a fun time. I'm a regular here at this point and will continue going back! As a regular customer who frequently dines at this location with my family, it is imperative to write a review not just based on this last visit today, but the Previous visits combined. This location seems to revolve around friendly and excellent customer service, not to mention 100% satisfaction and owe this to our frequent server, Erica, as she does her best to make sure we are completely satisfied. When any mistakes occurs, Erica would offer to correct them on spot without any arguments. She seems to care about her customers very well. Another excellent server that should be acknowledged is Bethany for the same reason as Erica. Me and family chose to dine there today, specifically for National Fajita Day, so we ordered the 3 for $10 special, drink, starter, and Chicken Fajitas. Our server was Bethany. Everything was to our satisfaction 100%, especially because our fajita portions were more than we expected. In conclusion, I highly recommend this location to anyone who values Excellent Customer Service and Great quality. read more

I asked for real butter and they said that they said that they don't have real butter for customers anymore. YUCK! It is not only not real butter, it's actually not even like real butter. I took my son who wanted the Baby Back Ribs for his 12th birthday dinner. I ordered the crisp chicken soft tacos. He loved the ribs and I was very disappointed in what they call a crisp chicken soft taco. First, they use the same chicken strips that you buy at almost any grocery store, and then the sauce they put on it was atrocious. They call the sauce a honey chipotle drizzle. I have another name for it which I won't print on here. I took one bite and left the rest of the plate untouched. Bree, our waitress, who by the way was the only positive to come from my last visit to a Chili's was wonderful. She offered to trade it out for a salad which I took home and never did touch. We live in Southern California where real Mexican food is available on almost any street and I'm talking Real Good Mexican Food. This offering by Chili's wasn't even a reasonable facsimile. I sent Chili's an email but since I got no response either good or bad from them felt that they would rather hide from negative responses than deal with them as they arise. Got a gift card here from a team that I coached this year and finally decided to use it on the way out to Fallbrook. I'm really glad I decided to read the nutrition facts before I went because WOW....some of these dishes are off the charts, salads weighing in a 1800 calories! I don't count calories religiously, but if I'm eating 1800 calories, it had better be a fat slice of cheesecake! Ordered the talapia with steamed veggies & rice -- cooked well, took forever to come out even though the restaurant wasn't busy....at least when it did finally get to the table it was tasty! Our server wasn't the best, but it is Chili's and it's hard to expect more than satisfactory from an establishment of this caliber. This would be a good place to go before catching a movie over at the movie theater just steps away, or grab coffee afterwards at the nearby Starbucks. All in all -- A-Ok is a perfect rating for this experience! read more

Best to call ahead if you have the slightest inkling that the place might be busy - this restaurant gets PACKED to capacity VERY frequently. Fare is typical of Chili's, it's good, not great. They recently rolled out automated ordering at this location, which is pretty neat. You can place your order and pay your tab yourself right from the table. read more

Went to Chilis to grab a bite to eat with my sister and grand daughter and wasn't really pleased with the whole adventure. First we waited for 5 minutes for someone to clean a table in the bar area and yes they knew we were waiting there. The manager in fact walked past us twice to ask everyone that was seated was everything ok and did they need anything. He never even looked at us. Finally the hostess started to wipe off the table herself and we sat down. The waiter came right over and took our order but again the manager walked past our table twice without even an acknowledgment or any eye contact at all. He went to every table in the bar area and bypassed ours. It was a very weird feeling. I don't want to say it was a racial thing but it sure felt that way. I think I will try the other chili's next time perhaps the manager won't be so rude. read more

However, the last 2 times I've picked up, the woman handling takeout orders has been noticeably annoyed with the world. Her utter indifference is only alleviated by her hostile tone of voice. It's not like there's a long line or any obvious stress. She's just mad. Given that dine-in visitirs are invariably greeted with good cheer, this is odd. I have been going to this place for years. The food is pretty good. It's kind of greasy, so if you're not able to eat that kind of food I would suggest just going with a salad. I almost always get the chips and salsa. What I go here for is the happy hour. The drinks are pretty delicious and the servers are usually good.
