Lot better! The hostess was nice and friendly when guiding us to her table. She was open to conversation even though she seemed a little busy. We felt very welcomed here. I ordered the flatbread pizza, and it was absolutely fantastic! At first I thought it was pricey, but the flavor and quantity left me completely full and satisfied. My friends with me were happy too with what they got, and we all were fulfilled by everything. The food took a while, but it was all understandable for it being so busy. The service was great as well. Our server Tyler was very friendly like the hostess, and patient with our questions about the drinks and food at Chilis. The only downside to this place now was the crowd and seating. I know it's something hard to change on account for the restaurant, but there were people literally blocking the pathway to the restaurant entrance and exit. The hosts and hostesses don't open doors for guests so it's hard to regulate the strange loitering. It'd be pretty pandemic if a fire broke loose. read more

Well all I have to say is they need more employees.. We went in and I informed to hostess that there will be 8 people and a baby. She gave me a wait time of 10 to 15 mins. Then I had to help the hostess figure out how to seat us. We sat and waited for the waiter 5 mins, ordered drinks and apps at the same time and apps came first. Before dinner was ordered we had ordered two beers a vodka and grapefruit and a house margarita. It took quite a while for our food to come out but we were still waiting on our drinks. We had finished eating our dinner and finally we had gotten our drinks. After about 10 - 15 mins later the waiter comes up and asks what we would want for our desert. Then a girl comes up and asked us again what we would like. Then the waiter comes back up one more time to asks again what we had ordered. Then 20-25 mins the manager came over and informed us later that they had run out of ice cream and had to go to the store to get more.. 20 mins later they serve our desert. We asked for a to go container for our desert the waiter forgot 3 times had get it ourselves. So disappointed. We were not a difficult group and tried to give the waiter the benefit of the doubt but this is inexcusable. Not one apology for the disorganization or lack of service. Doesn't help that I had family visiting from out of state and we had such a poor experience, I literally felt embarrassed to represent San Diego. read more

I would have given the restaurant 5 stars if the food did not take 30 mins to come out and didn't taste like it was sitting under a heat lamp. The reason for 4 stars is due to our awesome bartender Korey. He had an extremely busy shift with no help from anyone and even with how busy he was he would still go out of his way to make sure everyone at his bar was happy and satisfied. read more

Came here recently due to some issues at our neighborhood chili's on vista way. We were not disappointed the service in the bar was fast and seem less. The bartender with the purple hair was accommodating and friendly. I had a reward that she even asked her manager to honor with our three for ten and he did! Service is hard to find now a days but not here! I overheard the manager introduce himself to a regular and say he had only been there a few weeks. They deserve some recognition. The restaurant was super clean, not sticky, service fast food was great .... tasted better than our neighborhood chili's. It may be a farther drive for us but we will be back! read more

Great little place for dinners with my kiddos. Fast, friendly, and very convenient. Usually pretty clean. (but can smell the bar - always, where ever you are in the restaurant.) Staff is usually helpful and in a good mood, but may be just due to the fact I have my 5 year old with me. Food is always hot, predictably fast, and 9.5 out of 10 times they get the order right the first time. There is always a slight air of confusion among the hostess and seating staff, I think because I am usually there at rush hour and turnover. It doesn't last throughout the meal though...but the confused glances and hushed conversations about what table is open or not is just about 100% of the time. My steak came out perfect but my friends steak not so much. We both ordered the 10oz sirloin medium. His was very thick and way undercooked. So he sent it back. It came back 10 mins later still rare. At that point he was done and changed his order to fajita. 20 mins later he had his food. The kitchen needs to get its act together. read more

Customer service was awesome. However, the smokehouse combo is slightly false advertising. I ordered the two combo meal. It was the brisket and chicken fingers. While the presentation and the customer service was 5 star, the brisket was a let down. They serve the brisket sliced like little bacon pieces, and it's placed on toast. I was shocked. However the lady from the kitchen was kind of enough to get me extras. However the meal made it look like it was designed for someone on a diet or someone over 50 with digestive problems, or someone on portion control. This is a downfall of restaurant franchises...trying to precisely pinch pennies and meat in this case. I feel corporate control in these cases, create a terrible atmosphere and dining experience. If you have had brisket before, you would know that it is a thick piece of meat like steak. And that's how it is served. Maybe it's a California thing. Being from Texas, I feel Chili's is doing a disservice selling these items as it appears on the menu. I never buy steak at a resturant because meat is over priced and you get little what you pay for. That's why I though brisket would be different. I would not recommend this combo if you are hungry. Chili's needs to reevaluate its servings where brisket is concerned. read more

Annoyed is all I can say about my experience!!! Ordered a beer went in to take a drink, my glass stunk like dirty rags .... Waited forever to get helped never received my Lemon for my water. So I get up gran my own glass to pour my beer into, manager came over annoyed at me even after I told her why. The same manager brought our food and I again apologized for making a mess when I grabbed the glass and she was so rude didn't bother to say don't worry about it or I apologize for not having staff available to help you, nope instead she snapped at me and said yeah next time let us take care of it. Again.....this place is only good for a decent happy hour.....no more no less...the food is not that great, plus they got rid of one of my favorite salads in order to make room for another bad salad...but the stars are for their dive-restaurant bar and the interesting people who seem to go there. The best experience I had there was over 4th of July weekend when my sister and I were bought 3 or 4 free tequila shots of patron from some random guy eaves dropping on our private conversation, but whatever we were talking about obviously sparked his interest and offered us these amazing drinks....for this I say thank you Chilis for always giving creepers a place to hangout. read more

Our waitress, Kayla, and our food gets five stars. The restaurant management gets one. The servers have to bus their own tables - an impossible feat on a busy Friday night. Our poor waitress had a HUGE messy table right next to us. It took over 45 minutes before the tables were ready for more customers. Kayla was running herself ragged serving customers and she did an EXCELLENT job. I think it is a gigantic management failure (whether this is a Chili's corp decision or a franchisee decision I don't know). Get these poor servers some help - at least on the busy nights!!! Don't make customers wait longer to be seated, make the rest of us look at dirty tables, and make servers have to decide between wiping tables and serving customers. read more

It's Chili, I sat at the bar and the bartender was friendly and attentive, the food was what you would expect from a chain.

My husband and I meet for lunch today at Chili's. (which included our 1 year old). We all know the chips and salsa are the best ever! (which we got for free because we are chili club members) We were amazingly surprise at the awesome prices on the lunch menu. 7 bucks! To top it off the food was delicious...the baby gobbled it up to. I see more lunch dates there in our future! read more

As someone who worked at chilis for over 4 years, I'm a little disappointed in the service I received tonight. I placed an order online and when I arrived there was no one in the Togo area. Understandably so- it was later and that person was probably cut earlier. After waiting a few seconds a server told me someone would be right with me. Then another server said the same. Then I was told to go to the bar and that the bartender would help me. She told me she'd be right with me. Then after a minute or so asked what the name of the order was. When she came back she said that someone would help me around the corner. When I walked back around there was a server hustling to put my order together. When I ordered online i was told my order would be ready at 9:28. By 940 I still don't have my order even put together. In fact the soup I ordered had ran out. Why even bother ordering ahead if when i come in my order isn't put together? Not to mention the kitchen chatter i could hear across the entire kitchen. While the sweet, very nice server who got stuck putting our order together was arranging everything, another server with glasses, a headband, and her hair in a bun came around and began to swear loudly about how "the to go people need to stock their ****ing station." A sign needs to go up in to go or someone needs to be assigned to that area. I understand there are off nights, it was just one thing after another. This is why I go to the chilis in Oceanside. I very much appreciate the server who stepped in. Also: just arrived home and there are no utensils in the bag. And my nachos are cold. read more

I had an awesome time, I sat at the bar since they DO have a full menu at the bar. They had plenty of TVs, and the Bar tender Tiffany was awesome, beautiful, intelligent, and I don't think I saw her stop moving the whole time. Even when she was chatting with patrons she was always up to something while holding a conversation. I had the Sweet and Smokey burger that Tiffany vouched for, and I was not disappointed. It held true to it's name, the French Fry's were very good as well. I Had a Blue Moon to wash it down, it was a perfect combination. I WILL be back 6 STARS from me. read more

Amazing place. Fresh made soups... the steak was lean and perefectly cooked. Wife's shrimp dish was really FRESH tasting. Staff was EXCELLENT... from the cheerful hostess to the waiter who took our drink order to the waitress who never let our glasses get empty. We will enoy again and again. Uh yeah, nothing Cajun about their Creamy Cajun pasta which I got with shrimp instead of the chicken. Had to add tabasco to give it a kick. They had a white cream they used which made me suspicious that it wouldn't taste that great. I was right. It was pretty bland. I at least expected a red creamy sauce. The only tasty part was the shrimp which was haphazardly sprinkled with whatever they were passing off as their Cajun seasoning. Their other food is usually more decent. Well, as the previous Yelpers have given, I must give a 2 star. Everything started off good. We ordered drinks and ordered some chips and guac. Alyssa was our server and she was very cheery. However, the cooks "pushed" our order back, which tells me they forgot. It took over 35 minutes, after we ordered, to get our food. Saw the 3 course for $10 advertised on TV and we just happened to have a $25 Chili's gift card so we decided to give it a try. Our waiter was very nice and had a great smile. I ordered the Tito's punch. It was tasty but a bit light on the alcohol. We ordered the cheeseburger 3 course. The salad was crisp and fresh and the burger and fries were served hot and they were tasty. I didn't care for the molten cake that came with the meal but it was a matter of personal taste not for any other reason. This is a great value, tasty, and filling, made even better by the happy, smiling, wait staff. Bathroom was very clean. The only problem I had was with the seat in our booth. The seat was hard, not much padding and the upholstery was torn in three places. Large tears too. Not what I would expect from a chain at all. It seems it has been torn for a while too. With everything else so good I don't know why management/owner wouldn't fix that seat immediately, especially with summer here. You don't want to sit on that bench seat in shorts. The torn vinyl is apt to scratch your bare legs. read more
