When Chili's introduced its 3 For Me menu two years ago, it significantly raised the bar for fast food value meals that had become all the rage. Starting at $10.99, a diner could get a starter, a soft drink (with unlimited refills), and an entree (burger and chicken sandwich options) with a side. There are premium entrees that can raise the price to $17. In April 2025,Chili added the Big QP to the menu at the $10.99 level. This burger contains 85% more beef than McDonald's Quarter Pounder - 7.5 oz vs 4oz , and obviously this is a direct shot at McDonald's Quarter Pounder, which is about $5.80, on its own. The burger is topped with 2 slices of American Cheese, pickles, chopped onion, mustard and ketchup. And comes with a side of fries. The 3 For Me menu has been very successful for Chili's, leading to 3 consecutive quarters of double digit sales increases, an amazing reversal of fortune for this chain that began in Dallas in 1975. I have tried several items from the 3 For Me menu - the Chili, Potato Soup, the Big Smasher burger, the Double Oldtimer, Crispy Chicken sandwich, and the Big QP! I have to admit, I had sworn off going to Chili's, but when we took some friends out for lunch, it was their choice. I went in with low expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised--it wasn't bad at all. The restaurant appears clean, which is always a good start. I ordered the Alex's Santa Fe Burger, which comes with guacamole, pepper jack cheese, diced red onions, jalapeños, tomato, pickles, cilantro, and a drizzle of Santa Fe sauce. We came here on a Saturday a little before 5pm and were sat right away. Our waiter was super sweet and patient with us as we had not been here in a very long time. I ordered the Radical 'Rita and it was very good so I got a second one. My husband ordered an old fashioned and he thought it tasted terrible. He did enjoy the 'Rita as well. We ordered mozzarella sticks and we got the 6 count, but we truly could have been good with the 3 count. There was a good cheese pull and over tasty. My husband ordered the Bacon Rancher Burger and he said it tasted great, but the size portions were too much. I did a make your own burger where essentially I ordered the same things on the Bacon Rancher Burger, but only one burger pattie. The burger was okay, nothing to rave about. The ranch I got with the fries was way too liquidy. The fries were average. Overall, it wasn't a terrible experience, but this place is way over priced. I'm kind of torn on how to review this! I'm basing off my last 2 experiences - one dine in, one takeout. Takeout - a hot mess. I ordered around 8:45 and it said the ready time was 9:08-9:13 and that I'd receive a text when it was ready. It was like 9:23 and I hadn't gotten the text yet, so I just decided to go in and check. There were several people waiting there as well. Two employees walked by us and I will say they at least did acknowledge us and say someone would be with us shortly. They had a shelf with a few orders sitting on it, but the shelf said delivery so I figured mine wasn't up there. 5 or so minutes later a young lady came to the register, but by then 2 of the DoorDashers had gone ahead and just grabbed their own orders off the shelf. In their defense, it kind of seemed like maybe that was an option. But I overheard the cashier on the phone, seemingly diffusing an issue, saying "sometimes people grab the orders without checking." Our interaction was kind of strange, I felt like she kind of whispered when addressing me, but maybe she was just overwhelmed. It seemed like there was a steady volume of orders, but it just seemed really disorganized and inefficient. My order had been on the shelf the whole time- she handed it to me, and I was on my way. I was starving so I sampled a few fries in the car and they were quite cold. I assume my order had been sitting there for a while. It was after 9:30 when I left with my food. I received the text my order was ready at like 10:00 lol. Overall the food was pretty good, but I think it would've been better if it had been hotter. The extra 20 minutes it sat on the shelf didn't help, but overall it was still enjoyed. I ended up going back because I just wanted to try again. Chili's is normally one of the chains that I am just a stan for. However, I miss the original chicken crispers. Just saying! We went in around 3:45/4:00 and there was a 25 minute wait, but the restaurant was empty. Maybe a total of 8 tables occupied in the entire place. We asked if we could just sit at the bar top and order food there and she said sure. The host was fine, but personally I feel like hosts should be welcoming and friendly, as the first face you see upon entering the restaurant, but she kind of just seemed annoyed we were even there. For what it's worth, I think you can join the waitlist in advance, but I wouldn't have thought it would be busy at 4PM on a Monday, and it wasn't. The service at the bar was friendly enough, but it was fairly slow throughout. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, as they probably told us there was a wait due to the fact they didn't have adequate staffing. Our food took a good 35-40 minutes for a triple dipper appetizer and a grilled chicken entree. We were going to order a chips and salsa to snack on since it seemed to be taking a while, but the waitress didn't come back by until our food was delivered. Again, the food was pretty cold. The plate that the grilled chicken was on was really hot, so I assume it had been sitting under the warmer for quite a while. Other than the temperature, the food was quite good. We ended up paying on the table kiosk which was convenient, because it had been an hour and some change, and I was just ready to go, and didn't really want to wait on the process of getting the check, waiting on them to come get it, etc. Overall, I will return, but they could definitely work on service - speed and friendliness, as well as the temperature of the food. I haven't been to Chilis in probably 15 years, but I had lunch here with a friend and it was in a convenient spot. The restaurant was surprisingly busy for lunch, partially due to their veteran's day promotion. I was greeted and escorted to a table really quickly. Our server was Jack, and he was always available and friendly. Good stuff there. I had a lunch combo with a small caesar salad and spicy shimp tacos. The caesar salad was alright, nothing special. The tacos were a step up, but still nothing amazing. They came with some salsa and tortilla chips. My friend had a lunch combo, a small bowl of chili and a burger. I work near by and I eat lunch here often, the food is good and the manager Lizabeth always comes by to check on us. I have also ordered catering for the office several times from here. I eat at chills about every week or so. This restaurant is located in front of a wal-mart on Hanes mill road. The area is very busy and at most times ithe restaurant is pretty crowded. We normally eat at the bar area We have eaten here enough to get to know some of the wait staff. One who stands out is Luis the bartender, he takes very good care of us every time he takes care of us. He keeps our glasses full checks on us often to be sure we have what we need. I knew better. I really did but sometimes it feels like the car just steers itself places. I stopped here for a late Sunday lunch. Surprisingly it was still plenty busy. I got a table in the bar area. My server quick took my drink order and the bartender brought my beer. I appreciate a frosted mug, but this one was coated with ice that melted all over the table. Not a huge deal. I ordered a burger with sweet potato fries. Everything came out in a timely manner. As the waitress dropped off my order, I forgot to ask for some dipping sauce for the fries. So I waited. Nibbled. Waited. Nibbled. Waited and waited. The next time the waitress came by my table was after my plate was clean and my drink was empty. Even the burger was just blah. Absolutely terrible service! For starters who doesn't know what a gin and tonic is! The food was like dry as the gobi desert! The burger was like eating the scraps that fell through the burner under the stove! Couldn't get any refills!
