This small tavern is a bit off the beaten path, between University and Reynolda Road. It's a dive bar (a REAL dive bar) with a reputation for good pub food, and a good beer selection. The parking lot is a combination of broken pavement and gravel - organized parking is not an option! I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger and a starter of Cheesy Potato Skins. The order took a while, this is a bar first and foremost! Have a beer and chill. This was decent food but would benefit from more beer consumption! The burger was large, but was not well constructed, parts moving everywhere. Taste was just so/so! Cheesy Potato Skins were lightly cheesy, but more than a little greasy! The bacon on this item as well as the CB was precooked and left on the griddle for a bit - good set of your own teeth needed here! Probably no return here!

We were in the area and wanted to grab something to eat. My wife checked our bookmarks and mentioned this place. After walking in, we initially felt like we were outsiders. It seemed as if everyone in the place knew each other. Don't get me wrong, everyone was nice and welcoming. After we commented to the bartender, we learned they were going to be celebrating a birthday today and we ended up chatting with a few people. The inside was pretty small with the bar in the center as you walk in and the kitchen behind that. There is bar seating and a few tables around the bar. There is a also another room toward the back. After briefly checking out the inside, my wife and I grabbed two seats at the bar and asked for menus when our drink order was taken. Our drinks were provided promptly and our meal orders were taken. My wife ordered the club sandwich and I decided to try the Philly sandwich. We both ordered tater tots as our side. We did not see any beer on draft but they do have hard liquor and canned beer. A lot of people were drinking mixed drinks or Budweiser. Our meals arrived in a timely fashion and looked awesome. The club sandwich my wife ordered was huge. Everything was delicious. The club sandwich drew some attention as I took some pics and we were even chatting with the people next to us at the bar. This was a really cool experience to be so warmly welcomed and the food was delicious. We will be back!

The bartender was very sweet but the whole place was kinda off putting. So I would say great service but I wouldn't go to the patio.

We have always wanted to try this place out seeing it many times off of the roadway and it looked interesting because it was a converted gas station. As we parked and approached campus gas we noted that there was plenty of outdoor seating, primarily wooden benches, tables and places to lounge around outside near the fire pit. There were people enjoying a drink and playing a lively game of cornhole. We strolled around then went inside to explore what the business had to offer in the way of drinks and maybe get something to eat. As it turned out, it was around 9 o'clock, and the lady that came out from the kitchen told me that the kitchen was closed for the evening so we weren't able to get any food at that time so we walked around inside and looked at the small things for sale and the decorations saw the nice high top bar and chairs and since things were winding down, we decided to leave instead of having something to drink. We didn't see a bartender or someone to serve us a drink anyway. So as it stands, we'll have to come back by some other time and check it out. I hear the food is interesting, casual and good and there are a lot of beer selections. I look forward to coming back another time and trying the food and drink.

It's an old-style gas station you'd expect to find on Route 66 that has been converted into what I'll call a local pub. It's got some simple comfort foods to go along with a wide variety of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Barstool table seating inside with picnic tables outside. They've got a cornhole set outside to complete the backyard picnic feel, and I've even seen customers seated with their dogs. Very cool. My wife and I were cheerfully greeted when we walked in. We shared an order of chicken tenders and tater tots. My wife got a bottled water, and I picked a NA beer from their selection. Finally, someplace that carries an assortment of NA beers! The food took a while to come out, but this isn't a fast-food joint and it was nice to slow down and have a conversation. The chicken tenders and tater outs were hot and tasted great. Definitely a generous portion of both and I'm glad we got just one order. In summary, the place is nothing fancy. It's just a great place to hang out with friends and enjoy some comfort foods and frosty beverages. It's definitely on our "will return" list.

I ordered food all three times and each time the taste seemed to have improved. The first time I got the Caprese and it was very dry. It literally had three ingredients in it, I think the cheese just was too cold and didn't do it for me while on the contrary, the sourdough bread was very burnt and the entire sandwich was just very dry and disappointing. If you want a good safe option, the short rib melt Is really good. The drinks at the bar are also really good. I will also note the ambiance is amazing, I love the way they decorated everything and I feel like it's really fitting for such a historical place, everything seemed very niche and clean which I admired. I will say the service from Lauren Stone was amazing. She was great, she was very kind and held conversation with myself and my boyfriend and recommended and made some really good drinks. The service is really what tops the overall experience. If someone is very genuine and upfront, there's not much that they can't come back from. There's lots of redeeming qualities in a restaurant through people that have humility and really seem to care in my book so I will say this place is honestly a must try.

We came here on a Saturday around 5:30 as a party of 3. They told us that we could sit wherever we…read morewanted and we were the only party there sitting down to eat. Throughout our dinner, we saw others do pick up orders but no one else sat down for dinner. Once we sat, the hostess asked if we wanted anything and pointed to the menu on the table that listed desserts. After further clarification, we realized there were some appetizers on the back that was upside down. We ordered the cheese dip and she asked if we wanted chips and salsa and we said yes. When it came to ordering drinks, I asked for sweet tea but she checked and they didn't have any. I ended up ordering Dr. Pepper and she asked if I wanted the can or the bottle. I had seen a drink machine so I had assumed that was where the drink was originally going to come from, but I asked for a bottle. I also did not see an alcoholic drink menu though u saw a bar area. The salsa was heavy on the tomato flavor with a bit of a kick. My husband was not a fan and the chips were average. The cheese dip was not warm and severely lacked flavor. It was a good consistency, but I was disappointed. As we waited for our dinner, the hostess did not check in to refill my husband's water or see that we were low on chips. When looking over the menu to find dinner for my 4 year old, the kid menu options only showed Italian meals. I ended up ordering a cheese quesadilla with rice and beans for him. The cheese in the quesadilla could have been melted more, but there was a ton of cheese inside. The beans were very liquidy and lacked seasoning. Rice was good. I ordered the ACP with steak. The steak had a good flavor and the rice was smothered with the cheese sauce. I did appreciate that as someone who likes cheese sauce, but their cheese sauce was lacking flavor. When I ordered, I had asked for added grilled onions that were left off my order. I did not ask for them to fix my order though. I also got a side of tortilla shells which is a first when I have ordered ACP in the past. The dish overall was not very warm or hot at all which I expected with us being the only ones in the restaurant. My husband ordered the Quesabirria and it came with 4 and a side of beans and rice. My husband did not touch the beans because they did not look appetizing to him. He said the Quesabirria was okay, nothing special. It was warm, not hot when it arrived and the cheese was not really melted on the tacos. I would say overall my experience would not intrigue me to come back. There may be better items on the menu to try or a better experience with the staff at a different time of night that I am not aware of. However, I was left not thrilled and would go to another local Mexican place. It was also a bit weird to have Mexican and Italian dish options. Their Yelp page is not claimed, their facebook is not updated and their website doesn't seem correct. If I was someone just looking online to determine if I would try this place, I would be very hesitant since there is not a strong online presence that is needed in today's world.

We ordered Pepsi and Mountain Dew, there was no carbonation in either drink. The kids chicken tenders and fries were good, and our kids flew through that! My sister in law ordered an Eggplant Stromboli, and was unable to eat it due to the eggplant tasting spoiled. They were kind enough to offer to take it off the bill however. Three star rating, only because our waitress was an absolute sweetheart, and did everything she could to help us! Overall, the store was clean and well kept though!

I have the impression they do Greek food really well but everything else seems mediocre. I ordered the chicken fried steak, which was a small portion and lacked flavor. They also initially brought it with brown gravy covering it even though I ordered sausage gravy. Not a big deal, but they told me they had the correct one in the back and would bring it right out. I waited longer than expected for "it's already made," and I'm pretty sure I was lied to and had to wait on a re-fire, which came with the gravy inconspicuously on the side this time, but the service was friendly nonetheless. It was Valentines weekend so we ended up being there while they were quite busy. Still, the wait wasn't terrible, all considered. The French onion soup was delicious, and we were able to get it as a side for only a $2.50 up charge. Worth it! My wife got the turkey meal (not pictured, sorry) and it reminded me exactly of the tom turkey meal I used to get at the diner in NY when I was a growing up! The restaurant is large, bright, and clean though I think it tries to give southern kitchen when really they should probably lean more into the Greek diner vibes. I'll be back to update my review after I've ordered some other options off their menu.
