I was craving matcha and glad I checked out Chill Kopi. I loved that I was able to choose my own flight. The ube/bae was my favorite and the blueberry vanilla just didn't stand out to me, but again I enjoyed them all. Perhaps if fresh sauces were used (strawberry, blueberry) A lot for one person, could def share. I came right at opening on a Wednesday, so I had a very peaceful time reading my book. Stopped in here to try out the coffee before getting gas at Costco. There are a bunch of different suites in this building. The majority look like beauty salon suites. I didn't get a chance to walk the entire place though to see all. The guy at the counter was nice. He gave me some time to look over the menu, took my order, and got started right away. I chose the specialty U Bae Latte. It was delicious! I've been wanting to try their matcha flights for a while now so might try that with some friends soon. Wowwww what a lovely coffee shop! I came in randomly while I was waiting for Costco (Chandler location) to open and I found this hidden gem. The OG matcha latte and added your favorite favors -it makes my matcha latte taste amazing. The couple who own the shop and do all the amazing work by themselves just so friendly, professional and they are more than happy to give you their recommendations and you won't disappoint. I stopped in here and I was shocked how much I loved it! I got the U Bae coffee with an extra shot and it was delicious and fun because the cold foam was purple. Absolutely, yes, yes and yes! This was my friend's response when I told her that Chill Kopi has opened in Chandler. I asked if she remembered the original location I took her to in Scottsdale and she did- and if she'd like to check out the newest location by the Costco in Chandler-of course! We headed into the Palette Collection salon suites by the Chandler Costco and Zach, one of the owners of Chill Kopi kindly greeted us and recognized us from our visit in Scottsdale a while back. He is always smiling and possess a genuine personality. I ordered a piccolo, which is a strong version of a latte. Typically espresso 1:2 or 1:3 with steamed milk, stretched milk and a layer of foam on top. $4.50 for 6 ozs and I opted for almond milk + .75. Delicious! A beverage that delivers a full bodied punch to the taste buds! Even more splendid, if you opt to stay in and they serve it in a pretty ceramic cup and saucer. :) My tea lover friend ordered a chai latte. $5.00 + $1.00 to make iced. I don't know what Zach did to make this drink so unique but when Debi C declared it's the best chai latte she's ever tasted, I was floored! This gal has consumed tea drinks galore and for her to say this is something special! While there is not a drive thru, there is parking up front. Chairs, couches and plants are thoughtfully arranged in the lobby making a pleasant work space or sitting area. Will I return? Yep! Coming straight from Costco, we popped into Chill Kopi to share a coffee flight. They had the Grinchmas Flight for $22.95 and yum! I can't begin to tell you how every single drink tasted (Cuddly as a Cactus, Cindy Lou Who, Mr Grinch, and Whoville's Fav) but they were all delightful and filled me with that Christmas spirit! First off, I love the name of this place and the logo. It's based off of the Asian Palm Civet, which eats coffee berries and leaves the highly prized coffee beans(kopi beans). So I think it's super cool that Arizona is getting some diverse sources of coffee. I don't think they use these beans just yet, but I may be wrong! I'd love to try them in the future! The service was top of the line, super chill and nice just like the trademark! There's so much on the menu, and the specialty handcrafted drinks are unique in flavor combinations! The ambiance of this place is also very relaxing and fresh. We tried the lavender white chocolate ice lattes and a Cappuccino. Both were delicious, smooth and the coffee was balanced perfectly. My friend and I stopped by this shop on a Saturday morning after seeing a local content creator post about the seasonal flights. I went with a non-seasonal matcha flight and my friend had the Grinchmas latte flight. The drinks were tasty with a nice glittery, colorful garnish and cold foam on each of them. The flavors added to the drinks are subtle so I might ask for a bit more flavor next time. We waited about 45 minutes to receive our drinks. Cute little coffee shop, as long as you come with the right expectations. If you're looking for a fancy, fully-enclosed standalone shop, this may not be it. The shop is in an open area and the lobby of a building. I think they've done a really good job with making it inviting and aesthetically pleasing. Service was friendly. Limited options for food, but there are definitely pastries and super-super-cute macarons for sale (definitely instagrammable if that's what you're looking for). Their coffee flights are really cute as well, and they have various selections for lemonade. Few seats available, but enough for everyone when I stopped by on a Saturday. It doesn't seem like too many people stick around - they mostly grab their coffee and go. There are a few games you can grab on the shelves if you want to hang around. First time I came by they still had leftover macarons from May 4th and being a Star Wars fan I was all over their treats, shoutout to Lina's Macarons! I visited with some friends after flying in because my friend loves matcha but her fiance hates it so she wanted to go with me. We didn't realize the shop was in a big store situation area that turns out to be mini salons. We thought it was an art store from the exterior. We actually drove all the way to the other location since we found it on maps and couldn't find it to find out that they had probably closed for good since the address wasn't in their Instagram bio. Anyways, we went inside and found lots of matcha options to choose from. We tried a few that looked really good. The flight came out pretty quickly. We each tried them. I thought the ube was the best one. The matchas has powdery flavors, not like real fruit purée which I was hoping for. They each had edible glitter and foams. The matcha was pretty good. I've been to both locations and I've loved my experience at each spot! Most recently just went to the Chandler one and both the owners were so nice! When we entered we were greeted warmly and as we read through the menu they were patient and also helped answer questions as well recommend their most popular drinks. The drinks came out in a timely manner and we had no complaints to their speed as we understood the volume of orders and the number of employees! Not shocked they closed. As a former employee and from personal experience, they did not treat those who worked for them well and belittled staff. While the coffee was good, the ownership was downright toxic. Everything from a "hire and fire" mentality, to setting a stricter dress code on the one rockstar female employee, to going out of there way to blame fundamental problems of business on staff, to giving barely any notice that the Scottsdale location was closing down, it was a train wreck. Operationally, systems weren't sound and there was more going on behind the scenes than cold foam and aesthetics. It's Phoenix, not somewhere in the middle of Ohio. So glad I found this location! Its not super obvious of its location because there isnt a big sign on the building but it has chill kopi on the windows. Super convenient when making a costco run as its in the smaller parking lot in front of costco. The staff was super friendly. Gave great recommendations and explained the coffee beans. We visited the Scottsdale location first and were so impressed by the drinks and baristas that we went to their Chandler location the very next day! So glad we got to try both the matcha and lunar new year espresso flight. I was waiting for this location to open! So glad I made it in. The staff was so nice and helped me make decisions for my matcha flight. The drinks were so pretty, I didn't want to consume them! lol they are definitely a piece of art. I got the matcha flight with the strawberry, passionfruit guava, ube, and blueberry options. Blueberry was my favorite surprisingly. Passionfruit guava was my second favorite, then ube then strawberry. I will say that on first sip, the drinks seem watery so you do have to give them a little stir for it to be just right. I love that they bring out 4 straws to use instead of 1. For the price ($18) it is a good size. It's inside of pallet collective which is a bunch of different businesses. I didnt get to see what all was there but that's ok. The coffee shop is front and center as soon as you walk in. I also got my kids some macarons because they were so cute. They are $5 a pop but it's probably due to the artwork on them. They are closed Sunday, which is a little odd to me, so I went back on a Saturday for these flights I kept seeing on Instagram, and was highly disappointed. They had no pastries left by 10ish in the morning. There were 2 people working, they were not prepared at all. It is in a salon suite type vibe with limited seating. People were leaving because the wait, which you didn't find out about until you asked where your drink is after 20 minutes.
