It's always good to support local businesses, but this one makes it easy. The lemon lavender green tea is truly one of the best teas I've ever had. The lemon shines through with just a hint of lavender to give it a special balanced flavor. It was so incredibly refreshing for summer. My husband got the iced latte and was impressed and said it was better than most. Some lattes can taste burned but this one was a perfect blend of espresso and whole milk. We were lucky to stumble upon this amazing pop-up drink "cart" outside of the graduate on a morning bike ride, and I want to make it a priority to find it whenever I can. The owner is such a sweet girl and always finds something to talk to you about. She uses all local vendors as far as I could tell so it's nice to see a local business supporting other local businesses too. Definitely find her on social media so you can find her and try her amazing drink creations!

Such a lovely spot to grab a drink if you are working at Mod PHX or at the Thomas/Central area. The owner Michela is so friendly and she has her coffee game down. She suggested their honey lavender latte and told me she brings AZ grown lavender from Pine and makes her own lavender honey syrup for the drink. I could not say no to that and, girl, it delivered! The lavender was nicely balanced by the honey and not overpowering or soapy like lavender drinks tend to taste. The drink was the perfect balance of uplifting (coffee) and soothing (lavender honey), Yumm, already dreaming of another one! Also they serve Voyager Bakeshop pastries which are delicious. I tried the strawberry poptart which was generously filled, light and buttery dough balanced with the tart strawberry jam inside. The space is super cute and vibrant, go pay them a visit for your daily coffee.

Amazing coffee and great service! My little family had to check out the Mesa farmers market and we needed coffee bad....Coffee was great and so was the price! My little boy dropped his hot chocolate maybe 5 minutes after he got it.... He was so upset so we got back in line and the the ladies of Early Bird were so nice and didn't even charge us! If coffee and great service is your thing you need to give them a shot you won't be disappointed!

Amazing coffee!!! Lemonade, tea and Italian sodas! Homemade flavors like Carmel, peach, lavender, honey, and vanilla bean. Also an assortment of locally made pop tarts and scones! I got an iced coffee with soy milk and Carmel. A large comes with 4 shots! What a deal! Definitely will be back to The Early Bird!

My favorite coffee, I get it at the Mesa farmers market every Saturday. I wish I could have it every day! They make homemade syrups and the espresso is amazing. The owners are so nice and will make you anything you want! Make sure to find their truck and grab some coffee.

Little details like that is what makes the food great. The flavor of both items blew me away. So yummy. So why only 3 stars? They took forever. We tried them at the Gilbert Food Trucks Food Court and they were super under staffed. Took close to an hour with waiting in line and waiting on food. Not exactly what one expects from a food truck. And while the food is amazing, it's not good enough to over look that long wait.

I'm a big fan of The Hungry Monk for its beer selection and wings, so I was curious to see what…read moretheir newly-commissioned food truck, The Traveling Monk, would offer. Wasn't sure where to find them since their website (travelingmonkaz.com) does not appear to be supported. However, their Facebook page is kept current and I was able to determine that they would be appearing on a Saturday evening at the Food Truck Caravan in Scottsdale located at 5th Avenue and Goldwater Boulevard. Fortuitously, I had bought tickets for a comedy show at Scottsdale's Stand-Up Live, which was a stone's throw away. I couldn't resist ordering the BBQ pork street tacos (beer barbeque pulled pork, jalapeno slaw, with bacon beer aioli) and they were phenomenal! They come three to an order so I was able to share with my comedy show compadre. He concurred that they were scrumptious. It stands to figure that porky goodness cooked with beer can be somewhat irresistable, and the folks at The Traveling Monk seem to know that all too well. I have since noticed that The Traveling Monk has been appearing at new breweries, which seem to be popping up in the East Valley as of late. I will keep my eyes peeled on their Facebook feed, since it seems like a perfect excuse to visit them at a couple of breweries on my list (Arizona Wilderness Brewing Company in Gilbert and Huss Brewing Company in Tempe, for example). I can only imagine how well their food goes down with a delicious craft beer, and I can only surmise that the folks responsible for The Hungry Monk (which maintains a very respectable craft beer selection) know exactly what they are doing.
