Manuel changed pick up time manually for me so I could pick it up at a reasonable time and when I arrived my Cinco de Mayo dinner was waiting for me and a big bag of chips with lots of good food and salsa. Since the beginning of time, we have purchased nachos with half beef, half chicken. There was never an up-charge until today. Apparently, HALF of a portion of beef is $3 extra!! This is on top of the recent, crazy price increases on most of their menu items. The thing is, when I told the employee I wanted half/half, I asked if there would be any extra charge, he said no. Went in to buy my usual queso and chips to eat while I'm seeing my baseball games. The young lady running the front at 2:30 this afternoon. served way less than what I usually get served on my order. She proceeded to talk down to me as if I didn't know what I was talking about but everything I described to her as what usually the bowl looks like she told me she had to charge me an additional $3 to 5 dollars. I ended up taking my business to La Flor in Murphy. I spent a little bit more, but I got more queso and chips but important thing is they treated me with respect. We used to love going to Chiloso's, but unfortunately that hasn't been the case lately. The staff has become increasingly rude or dismissive, and the manager doesn't seem much better. It often feels like if your order is actually correct, you just happened to catch them on a good day. On top of that, the prices have gone up significantly while the portion sizes have gone down. You practically have to ask multiple times just to get the toppings that used to come standard. It's disappointing because we originally started coming here to get away from the same issues we were experiencing at Chipotle Mexican Grill. Now it feels like Chiloso's has become exactly the same--higher prices, smaller portions, and constant upcharges. If you're going to spend more money for less food, you might as well go back to Chipotle Mexican Grill. At least there, the staff tends to be more friendly. read more

My manager treated us to lunch for delivery, and I was introduced to a delightful dish: grilled avocado with chicken and steak. The rice was perfectly served under and around the avocado, creating a beautiful presentation. The steak was tender and seasoned exceptionally well. It also came with a side of beans, chips, and salsa. As someone originally from Phoenix, I grew up on authentic Mexican food and have never been a huge fan of Tex-Mex. However, this meal truly set the tone and exceeded my expectations! The ambiance of the restaurant, even through delivery, was impressive. Ordered on the app, which is awful. Went to this store to pick up, upon entering, the door handles were gross and sticky, the windows haven been cleaned in days, caked on gross. Most of the tables were dirty , the floor was sticky and had trash all over. Place was empty of customers ,1 the p/u window. Counters and glass were filthy! We've been to this location many times over the years, haven't always lived the changes but the food is pretty consistently good. We were there this morning and unfortunately had a 30 minute line, I don't ever experience this at other locations but this is a recurring issue at this location. We had a pup with do ate outside, the outdoor dining area was small and the there are probably too many tables for the space, but it was clean. Tacos were and ingredients were fresh, but a bit lacking especially the couple of veggies that are put on last. We always appreciate the free chips and drinks that come with breakfast, but the cups of jalapeño ranch keep getting smaller and less full which is a bummer. read more

Worst location ever!!!! I got charged $18 for my food because I was charged $3.25 for guacamole, THAT I DID NOT GET!!! Not only that but my order was also missing lettuce that I had ordered. The staff here is extremely rude and the number of dishonest practices at this restaurant is astounding. They list extra meat as $3. No portion or amount mentioned. Then you ask for extra meat, they give u 2 scoops and charge u $6. When i asked why 6 not 3 she said she gave me 2 scoops...not that i asked for that. Then asked if i wanted queso and i asked if extra she said no, u can get it on the bowl, but never mentioned that if u get it on the side, it is extra....like a lot extra. Then guacamole is one price on ur entrée but same amount in a cup is way more and not disclosed or stated anywhere. I dont mind paying extra for something, but transparency is important. I am extremely disappointed. I drove over 30+ minutes out of my way and chiloso is usually one of my favorite restaurants. Today, I had the worst experience possible. I asked the first worker and she said for the bowl the price included the chicken and if I wanted to add the salmon it would be the same price as the bowl + salmon upgrade. The she started making the bowl and another worker came up and said it would be $22 which is not the price she quoted me. So I told them I didn't want that, they threw away the bowl with the chicken. The worker was making my bowl and seemed so angry, every time I asked for a little she would do a huge scoop, and when I asked for lettuce & the regular amount she would do like none. This might seem like a small complaint but the atmosphere was so uncomfortable from every single worker. The woman who checked me out at the register also tried to charge me for double meat on the kids burrito I got - when I got half steak and half chicken equaling one scoop. (Mind you I think there were 4 pieces of steak TOTAL, I wouldn't even consider it half a scoop but whatever). I am just extremely disappointed by the atmosphere and feeling. The food is good. Where the restaurant falls short is the service. Every single time alive gone I've been either overcharged or charged for the wrong thing. Today was the worst experience ever. $40 for a bowl. When I questioned the very young cashier she said it was because I got extra steak. But when you looked at my receipt she double charged me for extra steak and extra guacamole. Even after bringing this to her attention I still left paying $40 FOR ONE STEAK BOWL. I love this place. I grew up in Wylie and we had Chiloso before there was a chipotle. so I grew up eating here. I recently moved back and was so excited to show my family this place. all though the food is amazing as always. more items to the menu which is awesome! drinks are very nicely poured. but gosh the customer service makes me not want to come back. every kid they have on this front line is rude. they roll their eyes and ignore you standing there until they want to approach you. makes the food taste terrible. I spent $80 on a meal for 2 people. I rather go some where with cheaper food and better service then to be treated like scum here by their children of employees. what a shame. management needs to do better. read more

I keep coming to this place, hoping they have finally gotten their act together, but to no avail. It used to be great, and it sucks that it has gone this far downhill. At least all employees wore masks and gloves. I ordered a Kid's sized burrito because their normal sized ones are enormous and expensive! I got rice, steak, queso, cheese, lettuce, onion, and guacamole on my burrito. They always sloppily throw everything in and don't evenly spread it out, so some bites I'll get nothing but guac and others I'll get nothing but rice. They're stingy with their meat, but the meat itself tastes good. They didn't properly seal my burrito, so it was messy and the guacamole was all over the outside of the tortilla. I also found a piece of chicken in my steak burrito. Cross contamination. I think it is safe to say that I will not be coming back here. Tonight we decided to give this place a try for take out after hearing positive feedback from friends. We did enjoy the flavours of the chicken Taquitos & Flautas. The rice and beans we didn't care for that came with it. Rice seemed over cooked and not flavourful. Beans just aren't our thing so we just tossed them after trying a bite, which was over done. Also we ordered a steak with onions & peppers for our son. He did not like the steak at all. I tried it and see why. It was way over seasoned, and chewy. Also it had mixed chicken in it. Which we only asked for steak. We also ordered a side queso, and guacamole. The queso was too spicy for my son, but I enjoyed the spice. I was just bummed on the size of a side for the price of $5.31. It was tiny! The guacamole was also tiny size, and priced at $5.62 with no flavour. It was just plain avocado. Our over all price for this order was $68.18. The price definitely doesn't match the quality of taste. read more

I had the shrimp avocado that was totally worth the 15 wait after I ordered. I wish shrimp was always cooked that way. They offer alcoholic beverages as well as some fun soda options. I've been coming here several times a week (sometimes twice a day) for the past 6 years. Religiously with my family, so we are talking lots of $$$$$. I can deal with the occasional mistake, and the price increases, because I've always loved the food. We went on 7/29/23 to the Royse City location. One single taco on a 4 inch tortilla $5.95 with the steak. That's is insanely expensive just saying. The steak tasted like nutmeg and or cinnamon was on it. When we go eat Mexican we look for cumin, garlic and onion flavor. My husband got a bowl. We both had water and we paid $22.68 to include the 3% charge for using a card. It was our first visit and most likely will be our last. We were really disappointed. If i could give no stars I would. For years I loved coming to all the Chilosos around the area but it looks like it's going downhill. The food is not like it used to be. Even though prices have increased food qualify has decreased. The steak is chewy almost like plastic and it's tough just trying to swallow it. The chicken tortilla soup has less chicken than before and the cheese doesn't even melt, the flavor is not the same either. The manager on duty sucks! My husband got a burrito and when it got to the closing part it it fell apart so they grabbed another tortilla that was cold and not fully cooked so when we sit and he tried eating it he knew it wasn't cooked all the way when I asked the manager for another tortilla she said the big tortillas were not free and I had to pay, me thinking it was like a dollar or so extra I said it was fine but they ended up charging me $3+ for a freaking tortilla?!?! Wow that definitely did it for us AND my husband ended up eating another cold/uncooked tortilla, we are never coming back and I'm sharing this post all over so people know not to come here. Came here for breakfast before work & definitely set the tone for a good start to my day! This spot is a nice place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The staff is always friendly & the food was on point. The restaurant was a bit busy but definitely worth the wait. I ordered the Fried Eggs & Barbados bowl. Once nice thing about this restaurant is that fountain drinks / coffee & chips are on the house with the order of your meal which is nice. Anyone that likes good additional flavor with a kick I highly recommend the Jalapeño Ranch to add to your meal or just to dip chips. Food was fresh & delicious as usual. Staff was friendly & attentive. Plenty of TV's all over to stay tuned to any games.
