The beef noodle soup was so good that I ended up bringing the whole family back. This time we ordered three beef noodle soups, the chicken cutlet over rice, and the stewed beef flank over rice. I also have to amend something from my previous review: I mentioned that the prices felt a little high, but I later realized this is a no-tip establishment, which actually makes the pricing very reasonable. On top of that, the girl who took our order was incredibly patient and polite, answering all of our questions without making us feel rushed.

Fast, casual, and delicious taiwanese spot. Got the beef noodle soup, fried chicken and pork rice bowl, and popcorn chicken. The beef in the noodle soup was extremely tender, noodles were perfectly chewy, and broth very rich and hearty. The fried chicken bowl was super filling. Loaded with pork, veggies, and topped with a chicken thigh. Chicken was slightly overcooked. The popcorn was tender but needed more five spice and salt.

This cute and neat Taiwanese noodle house is now one of my new dining spot favorites. Food selection is simple- the basic as you could summed up. Order and pay first in the counter , sit and wait for your order. This is my pick for friends get together one day because of its noodles popularity and been returning since then. I am planning to try all its noodles one bowl at a time! It's delicious, tasty and filling for a commendable pricing. The serving size is shareable and I believe allowed to be served for no plate fee . The restaurant offers more than noodles ... they have meat on rice meal, stand alone meat, veggies and fried meat , rice or noodles. It's a "clean after you" table service. No tips needed to leave unless you feel like it. Free hot tea and cold water by the way. Dessert ? Nothing. Nada. They advertise the next door bakery shop for your pleasure ... but need to move to their location. If you are looking to just eat at a fast phase , thus us for you!

I've been here at least twice before and enjoy this cozy space. Last time we went because my friend had been wanting to try this place - we got the popcorn chicken chicken, the lu rou fan, and I forgot what my friend got but it was actually my favorite thing on the table. I'm partial because there's a Taiwanese restaurant in the city I currently live in where I love their lu rou fan, even more than ones I've had in Taiwan. But this place is great and busy for a reason.

And we are back folks! This time we tried their noodle soups, fried chicken chop and fried squid balls. I loved the bouncy texture of the squid balls! My noodle soup had pork and mustard greens while my husband tried the pork and pickled vegetable. They were both very good, super filling too. We had the cold grass jelly dessert and it was a refreshing way to end our meal. There's still so more to try from the menu, so we'll be back again soon.

Not sure if I went on an off day or if the quality of the food has gone downhill since when it first started, but the food here was just not good. The beef noodle soup was bland and too sour for my liking, the chicken thigh rice had too much rice and not enough meat or vegetables, with the chicken thigh being small, dry and overly fried. Not sure why this place gets so much hype other than its self serve so no tip is needed, but the quality of the food here really needs a boost

Keepin it real out here in Bayside One of my fave Taiwanese spot out here in Queens. Food is solid solid. Some people seem to have issue with the self service, taking out your own food, pouring out the soup etc. I find that experience quite refreshing. They provide quicker service, lower staff cost and you get to save on tip (can still tip at the front), sounds like a win win to me. And maybe i just enjoy the change of dining experience compared to all the other places

We came here on a rainy Saturday late afternoon looking for something comforting. I ordered the Lu rou fan and my bf got the beef noodle soup. We got the popcorn chicken and AA choy to share. The popcorn chicken was super fresh and crispy, a must try. My rice came with a bowl of soup and even a whole pork bone that was superrr tender. The rice has a good mix of finely minced pork and the whole pork belly. Loved the texture but was hoping for more depth in the flavor but it absolutely hit the spot. My bf loved his noodle soup and they were super generous with the meat, the beef was so tender like the most tender beef we've had in a noodle soup. He absolutely loved it. Tips: it's a cash only establishment!! You also usually order and pay at the counter and they bring you the food. But it's expected for you to bring your leftovers and dishes to the corner to put back for them to clean. The place is decently sized with a lot of tables and parking lot. We would love to come back.

Very friendly service from the young girl with glasses. Good portion of beef meat in the noodles. Place is small, so you may have to wait for tables. Cash only. You may place order online using credit cards and then sit and eat if you don't have cash. Cafeteria style: you placed order at the front counter. Gathered your own utensils/ water. Server will bring order to your table. You cleaned up the table when you are done. We ordered: N2. Beef soup noodle: good flavors , good meat portion. $17.46 N1. Pork belly noodle soup. $15.62. It was ok. I prefer bigger chunks of meat and more flavorful broth. F6. Calamari fish ball $6.89. Very good flavor texture snd taste. R6. Salt and pepper popcorn chicken $10.11 Fresh and crispy. Red chili peppers powder sprinkled on top was too hot to my taste. Will order powder to the side next time. E16. Taiwanese sausage $5.06. Portion was small but really tasty. Overall it was a good meal. Will return.

The other day my wife tried this restaurant, she liked her experience so much that she invited me and my son to try it. The place is nice, cute, simple, clean, and modern, not a formal restaurant setting. Small place with a few small tables, probably about 6-7. Due to the limited seating and us coming at the peak of dinner time, it is noticeable that there are costumers always waiting for an available table/seats. Service style here is a fast-casual format where you order at the counter, staff deliver the food and you clear your own table after eating. You are expected to bus your own table by clearing plates and sorting waste.  Food is really good for its authentic and flavorful Taiwanese cuisine with well prepared and flavorful ingredients. We have tried the Lu Rou Fan (braised pork belly), Yan Su Ji (salt and peppered Popcorn Chicken) and Dan Dan Mian (dry noodles with sesame, hot pepper powder and peanut sauce), all of which were delicious, tasted awesome, home-made style comfort food and definitely recommendable. Price is really fair, reasonable and affordable. They served generous portions and you can get free hot tea at the counter. If you are a foodie, this is a place that you must-not-miss. Staff was noted to be nice, polite, and efficient. Presently I am not surprised on why my wife wanted me and my son to try this place. Food was awesome, friendly atmosphere and affordable price. Certainly a casual restaurant worth coming back to.

    Fried chicken cutlet, sweet-and-sour cabbage
    May W.

I ordered the Lu Roy Fan (braised pork belly with rice / Zhu Pai Fan ( Fried marinated pork loin over rice) / JI Pai ( salt and pepper fried chicken cutlet) / sweet-and-sour tossed Taiwanese cabbage, and bean curd. Sweet-and-sour cabbage was very refreshing. It's a cold dish. The fried chicken nugget was okay . The pork belly over rice come with a tea egg was very good. The pork chop was good. I will definitely come back and try something else next time. you order and pay at the counter, grab a table and they bring you the food. you clean up after yourself when it gets crowded at night It can be very noisy.

We went to Chimama's for a quick dinner tonight. We ordered the Khong Rou Fan, Niu Rou Mian, and string beans as an appetizer. I like their food because it's simple, tasty, and comes out quickly. The Khong Rou Fan is comforting and flavorful, and the Niu Rou Mian is always a good choice when you want something warm and satisfying. The string beans were a nice light appetizer to start. It's kind of a semi-service place -- you order at the counter and clean up after yourself when you're done, so there's no need to leave a tip if you dine in. The cashier who took our order is always nice, friendly, and polite, which makes the experience pleasant. The place is also always clean, which I appreciate. Overall it's a good spot when you want a quick, easy meal without a long wait.

A great place for authentic Taiwanese food in Bayside. The place shares a small parking lot with a few other stores so it might be hard to park if it is a busy day. The place is very clean and is self-serve, so once you order what you want, you go and pick it up at the cashier table. You also have to clean up after yourself when you are done eating by placing the utensils and leftovers in the proper receptacles. Niu Rou Mian($17.46)- The broth was very flavorful as you can taste the star anise and spices that were used to make it, the noodles have a nice bounce to them while the beef was tender enough to break apart with chopsticks. Lu Rou Fan($11.03)- The amount of braised pork was more than I expected in a great way. The pickled cucumbers helps break up the fattiness with each bite. It also comes with a soup on the side. Yan Su Ji($10.11)- This salt and pepper popcorn chicken had great flavor but some pieces were drier than expected. This might be because it was chicken breast. Chou Dou Fu($11.03)- Not as stinky as I expected but still tasted really good, the pickled vegetables has a nice crunch and sweetness to them. The tofu itself has a nice fry and crispy texture. Hua Zhi Wan($6.89)- These calamari fish balls was firm and bouncy. Added spicy oil to enhance the flavor. Would love to come back to try some of the other dishes, has a very welcoming atmosphere and polite staff. Visited 4/22/25 Food- 9/10 Cleanliness- 9/10 Staff- 9/10

Let's start with the noodle. It is al dente and carry the soup really well. The braised beef made well too. The tenderness is just fine. However, I missed the big piece of meat instead of bite size chopped cube. It is easy to eat but could be more satisfying. The Shanghainese Pok Choy is a must in order to complete this dish authentically. However, it's overly chopped. I missed the couple halved Shanghainese Pok Choy placed nicely on the side. For the soup, the fave is fine and the balance of the sour and savory is just to the point. However, I wish I could have more pickled veggie that added more sourness to the soup. It would be much better to place a container of pickled veggie on each table for the customer to add it freely. That would be perfect. This place is cozy, clean and neat. Thanks for the ambiance. The popcorn chicken was very tasty, but what confused me was that it wasn't hot when it arrived. It felt like it had been sitting out for a bit. What was mistakenly given to me (eaten the next day - reheated): -Legend Pops (Medium?): Good ratio of breading to chicken. Best to reheat this by toaster oven to crisp up a little. The chicken held up well. -Sweet Potato Fries with Honey Mustard: Good soft texture and sweet potato flavor. I am happy that they have this location, since it is much easier to stop by, and there is seating if I choose to eat in.
