So simple and satisfying. The minute you walk through the door, you're asked "spicy or not spicy". That's the only choice you have to make. Take a seat and wait for the piping hot soup to come out. Water and hot tea are self serve and they bring out radish kimchi, omelet, seaweed and rice (you can ask for more). The soup comes out boiling hot, so be careful! I love that the soup is flavorful but not greasy at all like some other gukbap spots. You can really taste that they cooked this for hours. The glass noodles are so satisfying. Note: they're closed on Sundays and it's cash only.
I found this spot on IG and had to try it out for myself and it is definitely worth the hype. I came here for an early dinner during the weekday and didn't have a wait at all. The original beef stew was so hearty and comforting, like a hug in a bowl :) I would love to come back and try the spicy version but the flavor was really good in the original. Overall, I'd say this is a solid no frills soup spot in flushing with good sides, I didn't get a refill but still left satisfied. They also accept credit card now vs. cash only! IG: _acquired.taste

Simple and easy and reasonably priced at $20. Service was efficient because of the streamlined menu (all you need to do is say spicy or not spicy). Wow, I didn't expect much because I thought it's just soup. I was wrong this was what I expect home cooking to taste like from a Korean household. The soup was amazing. I had the spicy and my wife had the regular. I really didn't expect to like it soo much. The bonchon went so well with the soup. I will definitely come back for more.

This restaurant has one dish, a beef bone soup and you can order it reg or spicy then they give you 4 sides to eat with the meal. The food: Spicy Beef Bone Soup- The soup is a slow cooked beef bone soup that is PERFECT for the winter time. The sleeper dish is the egg, it comes with scallions and are seasoned to perfection. I like to take the seaweed, add rice egg then ladle broth over, so good. I been coming here for over five years now and I am happy to report it is equally as good as I remember. They do one thing and they do it really well--beef bone soup, either spicy or non-spicy ($18.99). It's incredibly hearty and warming, the perfect comfort food when it's cold outside. I honestly wish more places had such a focused menu because when something is this good, it doesn't need anything else. They are so generous with their side dishes and add the perfect balance to the meal. You get fried egg, pickled radish, seaweed, peppers and bean paste, and the best part is they're happy to offer refills. It's such a nice touch that makes the experience feel even more special. The service is also excellent; the staff is friendly and attentive, always checking in to ensure everything is going okay with our meal. One thing to keep in mind is that this spot is cash only, so be prepared. But with such great food, service, and value, it's totally worth it!

They don't mess around and they are quick. They are very generous with their side dishes. Quick and efficient. They'll never bag it for you if you want to doggy bag your leftovers. They were so kind! You could order spicy or non-spicy. Spicy was not spicy at all for me and I cannot handle spice well which is what I appreciated. The spicy was good but my favorite was the non-spicy. It had such a simple and refreshing taste. It really tasted like "less is more". It's so nice to have on a cold day, very good for your soul. No wonder why this restaurant was packed. $40 for 2 bowls cash and $43 with credit card. I HIGHLY recommend to anyone in the neighborhood to try!

Comes out boiling so be careful! Verdict: Spicy and non-spicy are both so good. I can see why it's the only menu item and every table is packed. We were worrid about the spice level when ordering but thankfully, the spicy is not as spicy as korean jampong or soondubu. It's very palatable to the normal spice tolerance person. I dont really need any water. The non spicy has very rich flavors of beef and well seasoned broth. Overall we would come back here. Very refreshing for a cold winter day!
Totally get all the hype. I usually prefer bold, strong flavors but this soup has a delicate, simple palette that can only be accomplished from solid technique. No frills restaurant with two things on the menu - reg galbi tang or spicy galbi tang. We came on a relatively hot day which made eating this hot bowl of soup a little tough but it was super delicious and hearty. We got one spicy and one non spicy. With every soup order comes with a fried egg, seaweed, radish, and jalepenos and samjang. You also get a bowl of rice that is free refill as long as you ask. Food comes pretty fast and in every bowl comes beef bones and pieces of meat a long with potato noodles. I wish they put more noodles in there but by the time I finished the bowl of rice and most of the soup and meat, I was stuffed! read more
The wait seems intimidating but it really does move fast (so fast that we had actually gone to a bar nearby for a few minutes and by the time we came back had to put our phone number back on the waitlist). There are only two options for beef bone soup: spicy or not spicy. We got one of each. The spicy was good, not terribly spicy and definitely manageable. However, to my surprise, I actually felt like the non-spicy was more interesting-a really clean soup with good flavor. The glass noodles were delicious in both. The banchan overall was great: radish kimchi (definitely not a kimchi guy but I really enjoyed this), seaweed to wrap around some rice and radish, egg, green pepper with dipping sauce. For both soups we paid a flat fee of $40, no option for a tip? Overall, a simple dining experience but definitely worth the try. read more

I've been waiting to come to this place and it lives up to the hype. It's a small restaurant and for seating when there's a wait, you put your name down on a clipboard to wait for seating. As of Oct 2025, it's $18.99+tax. It's basically $20pp for a soup. It's pretty worth it. The broth was so flavorful. It was a tad too salty for my liking but seriously so so so delicious. The ban Chan was great and the service was great. The servers were attentive. It's a great spot for a group of 2-4 but no more than that. It's not a place to sit for long. People tend to eat and go within 30 minutes. I will definitely be coming back in the future read more
Both soups were so good and comforting and warm my soul instantly as I had my first sip. The beef was so tender and the glass noodles were so soft. The table next to us said they've been coming here for 10 years! The staff were also very tentative and sweet - they had a small bowl of soup just for my small daughter and also gave her seaweed and rice. They also kept checking in to see if we're doing ok and offered more omelette as they saw my daughter devoured it all. I would definitely recommend! read more
A super warm and comforting meal on a cold day! They sell one item on the menu when I went: Beef and Cabbage Soup with Rice and I got the spicy version. It was not that spicy to me but I think the spice added an extra depth to the soup. There was vermicelli, beef on the bones, and some veggies in the soup. Very flavorful and not overwhelming salty. You can tell the meat was boiled for awhile. The rice helps balance it out. The banchan was super basic - they only gave us three items and were not that versatile. They will get your order right away and bring out the banchan, as well as any refills you request. There is a water cooler by the entrance of the restaurant with cups and brown rice green tea bags. There's no need for a menu, as your only option is Spicy or Not Spicy. The banchan consists of seaweed, radish kimchi, sliced omelette and sliced jalapenos that come with a dipping sauce. They also bring out rice with the soup. The soup is tastes like home cooked comfort food. It comes in a hot bubbling stone pot and is filled with glass noodles, veggies and beef (with a big hunk of bone!) The meat is fall out the bone tender. I prefer the spicy version, as it adds that little extra kick. I enjoy making the perfect bite of seaweed, beef, soup drenched rice and the sliced jalapeno with the dipping sauce! Just be careful with the jalapeno - some are super spicy. Make sure to slurp down every last drop of delicious hearty soup! read more

My friend and I got some gukbap for early dinner. There was no line! We sat down immediately and ordered 2 spicy soups. The side dishes were simple. We really felt like we were eating at home. The soup was exactly what I wanted! I love how you can ask them for more rice and side dishes free of charge. $20 for one soup bowl! They also have a clean restroom in the back. Bookmarked Parksanbal because of a Righteous Eats feature. I'm so glad I was able to come by. It was such a nice comforting meal. They only serve one thing, beef bone soup, and it's only offered as spicy or nonspicy. I got a spicy one after asking how spicy it was. Turns out it's very mild. The spice provides an extra depth of flavor. The beef was super tender and fell off the bone. The noodles had a good chewiness. It was filling without being too rich. The soup was good, perfect for a rainy day. There's self-serve water and tea at the front. The banchan is unlimited. There are seaweed, radish kimchi, egg omelette, and green peppers with samjang. The banchan combined with rice, tastes so good. The radish could be fermented longer, as it tastes like it was just made. Ended up as a $20 flat meal. It's great value considering you can get full on banchan and rice alone. read more
Umm how did I not know about this place? This is a no frills soup only restaurant. Your only options are spicy or not spicy. We got the spicy and it didn't disappoint. It was soul soothing and everything you would dream of from a broth that's cooked/simmered for hours. The service is fast and casual. I def recommend. read more

Great value and great food. This restaurant is quite difficult to get to by foot but I think it is worth the trip. They serve only one thing on their menu and you can get it spicy or non-spicy. I tried the non-spicy version and loved it. The service is quick and attentive, and the interior is very homey. The drinks are self-serve near the front of the restaurant, and you can choose from two varieties of tea, or cold/hot water. As banchan, they give egg omelette, radish kimchi, dried seaweed, and ssamjang with green pepper. They refill this continuously. The soup itself is very good, it's very clear and hearty with glass noodles and meat on the bone. It was so hot that I burned myself but it was delicious. Overall I would definitely come back given the chance. Next time I may try the spicy version of the soup. read more

Do they include banchan if I order takeout? How spicy is it? How many levels of spice? Does it come with noodles or rice?
I believe they do include banchan. Never got takeout, but have seen them packing orders. It's only 1 level of spice (it's not spicy at all, so I would recommend getting this), but others ask for less spice. Comes with both noodles in the soup & rice…
