    Pork bun

I work nearby and this place is so reliable because they open super early. I know I can get breakfast or an early lunch even before I begin work (at 7:30AM). It's a small restaurant with limited seating, but it has both indoor and outdoor options. The ladies working there are very fast and efficient. It is a cash only place!! They sell both hot and frozen food in case you want to take it home. The food tastes great and they have pretty good prices too! I usually get the dry peanut noodles just because my cravings hit sometimes, haha! I wish they put sesame seeds but there are some green onions in there. I also love their pork buns. They taste SO FRESH and you taste the mushroom, veggies and meat and a bunch of flavor. I have had some pork buns that were literally a ball of mushy, bland meat. I keep coming back for these buns! I have also tried the ox tail soup. The flavor was okay, it was in a very light soup with a celery-like taste. The ox tail was cut super thin and didn't have a lot of meat either. It wasn't my favorite. HOWEVER, 5 stars for the pork buns. I will definitely miss them when I switch jobs.

Updated phone number - the number listed on Yelp and the first number on this card said it is golden city and not them.

Love their steamed meat buns! So darn good. I get them almost every other week. :) Also love their peanut noodles and fried yam cakes. I definitely recommend!

It's a tiny shop inside the shopping complex that has a supermarket and East Manor.I enjoyed the food here but it's more like a Chinese food spot for Chinese people. I went with some friends who are Chinese and were able to do the ordering. In terms of food, too bad all the fried stuff was greasy. The food Fu Zhou Style Wonton Soup- I thought this dish was nice. It had a super thin wonton skin with some ground pork, they were kinda like baby wontons. The skin was so thin they kinda looked like wonton ghost. lol This was a good but not exciting dish. The dish also comes with the generic fried crullers, which had a nice crunch and good flavor but was super oily. http://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=Y_iTTjKvV5hLy-880SZzlA&select=MOSiG_R7ijHLexqRKstd8Q Dry Noodle w. Peanut Sauce- Basically dan dan noodles. The dish had good flavor but it was too simple. My big pet peeve is when the first bite of a dish is identical to the last and every bite with this dish was the same. The noodles were also too soft for my liking. http://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=Y_iTTjKvV5hLy-880SZzlA&select=P79foObMAfUEBvAQwVjjpA Dumplings- These were steamed and came 10 to an order. I thought these were really good, thin skin with a nice filling. Fried Dumplings- the dumplings had good flavor but greasy. It had a nice crunchy bottom. Fried Taro Cake- I liked the flavor and texture of the taro cake but it was really greasy.

Small place, cheap price, and street style food. If you're looking for some place different and you've never had Fu Zhou style food, this would be a good place to check out. They have about 15 seats in total and it's pretty crowded when I ate there for lunch on a Saturday. After asking around, some people recommended their noodles while some others recommended their soup. Here's what my table ordered in the end: - dry noodle w/ peanuts sauce (pretty good) - fz style wonton soup - fz style meatball soup (similar to wontons but this is more flavorful and the texture's slightly different) - fried dumplings - Everything taste good but were a bit salty. I saw a lot of other people ordering their regular dumplings and noodle soup. It seemed like a pretty popular place since people keep coming in and I'd come back again to try something else if I'm in the area.

Crossed this spot off my list. I met up with my parents and the restaurant was emptied with two small tables (1-2 people) and 3 big tables for 3-4 people). My mom wasn't feeling well so she ordered Dry Noodle w. Peanuts Sauce which is pretty popular noodle dish from the reviews and the server brought out a bowl of pork bone broth w. scallions. I couldn't try the noodles because I am extremely allergic to peanuts. My dad was disappointed in his order of Pork Chop w. Noodle soup because he assumed it was a big fried pork chop instead its pork with soft texture bones. I got a plate of steamed dumplings which I hesitate to eat because I only love my mom's dumplings but it was really, really, really yummy. Also I got a bowl of pork bones broth too and it was tasty and hearty.

Taro cake, oyster cake, soy milk, dumplings, meatball wontons, and peanut noodles

This is one of the few Fuzhou breakfast places in flushing that has such a comprehensive list of traditional Fuzhou breakfast items. We ordered the fried taro cake, dumplings, soy milk, meatball soup, oyster cake, and noodles with peanut sauce. Having been to Fuzhou before, I can say that everything tasted authentic. However, I did expect the oyster cake to have oysters in it, because that is a thing in Fuzhou. So I was disappointed when I found out that chopped cabbage was the only filling inside. It was also very oily, inside and out. That being said, all in all, I was really excited to find an authentic Fuzhou breakfast place while I was visiting out of town!

Holy crap. Fried dumplings $3 for 10!!! SO GOOD. It's intimidating to walk into a place like this. I get scared every time. What should I say to the lady? Should I memorize the menu first? What language do I speak? Every time. Every time I go inside, I become speechless. But all you gotta say is "fried dumplings!"

    Mei fun noodles
    Hlee W.

This is my favorite go to lunch spot. The food is always made fresh. Some of my favorites are peanuts noodles, Mei fun noodles which are really thin stir fried rice noodles and I also love the duck noodle soup. Today I tried the fried dumplings also, which were extremely greasy but sooooo good. The food here is Fu Zhou style foods, sometimes if you're tired of regular dim sum down the road you come here for comfort food. They actually renovated now and it had a bit more space but you'll still have to best the crowd bc they're packed for lunch always. The service is okay sucks that there is a language barrier bc the ladies who work here don't really speak English and if you're not Chinese like me it's hard to order. Thankful for my husband who is Chinese though. Lol.

4 stars for the fried dumplings! This restaurant can be pretty hard to find because they're located behind another restaurant. If you get inside the shopping center parking lot next to it, you will definitely see the place but don't park your car in the parking lot if you're going to eat there because the parking lot is only for the shopping center's customer. We've seen someone's car get towed before for parking their car in that lot & went somewhere else. $3 for 10 for both fried & steamed dumplings. The dumpling here is definitely tasty. Lots of flavors! The place is small & clean. Service were decent, no complaint. We'll definitely go back!

We walked into a casual space that fit the style of food, with the main focus being on freshly made noodles, flavorful broths, and hearty dishes. The dining room had a practical, no-fuss energy with a steady flow of customers coming in for a warm bowl, and the open kitchen gave us a view of the noodle pulling process that added a layer of engagement to the meal. The Lanzhou beef noodle soup is the main highlight and the dish that defines the restaurant. We ordered a bowl and found the broth with a rich, savory flavor and a good balance of spices, while the hand-pulled noodles had a satisfying texture that made each bite enjoyable. The thin slices of beef added another layer to the dish, and the chili oil gave the soup extra depth without overpowering the original flavors of the broth. Beyond the noodles, the lamb skewers were another standout item, the meat tender and well seasoned with a smoky grilled flavor that paired nicely with the noodle dishes. The menu also included other options like braised beef noodles and lamb dishes, giving us a few different ways to experience the flavors of Lanzhou cuisine. Service was polite and the overall experience felt relaxed. The restaurant has a straightforward setup, making it a good option for a casual meal, and the ability to customize the meal depending on whether we wanted something lighter or more filling made it easy to adjust the order to our preferences. The staff moved through orders with efficiency, and the food came out hot and well assembled. Overall, DunHuang Lanzhou Beef Noodle is a solid spot for anyone craving authentic Chinese beef noodle soup. The combination of flavorful broth, freshly made noodles, and well-prepared meat dishes makes it worth visiting. It is a simple concept done well, and a place we would return to when looking for a comforting bowl of handmade noodles.

I confess that once I realized how big of a chain this place is in NY I had my hesitations but wow the food proved me wrong and I repent. The noodles are fresh and hand pulled, great texture and bite. The spice is real though so be prepared! We also ordered the lamb dumplings in soup, which was a pleasant surprise with a nice acidic punch in the broth. The dumpling skin is a bit on the thicker side, which matches the noodles so makes sense. There are notes around the restaurant saying that the food is meant to be enjoyed spicy and I'd agree. Their unique selling point is the chili oil and seasonings so enjoy it as intended if you can. Also you can order at the kiosk if the employees seem to be busy and don't acknowledge you lol. Took me a second to realize as I just stood there. Solid stop in our Flushing food journey

When we actually went in when the place opened, the place was packed with a high turnover time of people eating and leaving. There are 4 tables of about 4 people each and people would sit with strangers like a food court. There is a kiosk where you can order as well as a cashier to take your order. I've had their beef hand pulled noodles before, but today I tried the Mt Qi Pork Spicy and Sour Hand Pulled Noodles with Soup and it was delicious. I did the least spicy since I cannot tolerate spicy very well and it was perfect. The broth and meat is very flavorful and pairs great with the noodles. As for their drinks, they have 3 main ones: sour haw, chrysanthemum, and Jasmine. I love how the drinks are not that sweet and is very refreshing after eating the spicy noodles. I see why there are two locations in Flushing. The one is Tangram is more spacious with more seats so better during busy hours!
