The technician came Jan. 16, removed the pilot light and said he would return with the new part. He came back Jan. 19, after the storm forecast. He didn't have the right connection for the new part, but assured me it would be fixed by the end of the week, "even if I have to work on Saturday." On Thursday, he contacted me, said he had the right part, and would be there at 8 a.m. Friday. At 7:30 am, I got an automated message saying my job was canceled. I contacted the tech, who said he knew nothing about it. A short time later, I got a message from the company -- the message was a misfire. But no one would respond or tell me when or if my repair was still scheduled. By Saturday, with the storm bearing down on us, I hadn't heard from anyone. I made repeated calls and messages, to the company and to the technician (704-506-0501). Finally, a man from 888-840-5788 called and told me I was getting a refund. I told him I didn't want a refund, I wanted a working fireplace in an ice storm. He claimed they still didn't have the part, even though I was told Thursday that they did. I would suggest NEVER GIVING THIS COMPANY A CHANCE. I have a handcapped family member, and if the power goes out, I'm stuck. After the storm is over, I'd like to do business with a reputable company, if anyone can suggest one.

This company Charlotte Air Duct came in and they were very thorough, even to go as far as taking each vent off and cleaning them, which the other company(Sears) did not do. Also, (CAD)person + young helper, was so very helpful in explaining the process, telling me the filters I should use, cleaning the coil part, which I was shown, and it was filty & clogged. The inspectors found certain faulty components in my system, but they neglected to clean the fireplace as advertised. The service tech promised to circle back with me with a quote on the replacement parts then never called. I reached out to them via phone several times and finally got a hold of the owner who told me the parts are unavailable, and he promised a refund. He never refunded me the charges. Now when I call, the secretary tells me the owner is unavailable to speak with me.
