I was looking for someone to come sweep/clean my chimney because smoke was billowing into our house after on night of me starting a fire. I called 4 other company's who quoted me an INSANE amount. Enter Chimney Pioneer. Amber answers my call on a Friday and books me for an appointment Monday. She mentioned that they were having a cold front special and my open fire with insert would be $124.99.... this price is incredible compared to what I was quoted. Amber and her husband Kendric arrive promptly at noon. I instantly felt warmth and friendliness coming from them. This husband wife duo are not only professional but emit this sense of familia that makes me feel like they would take care of my house/chimney like their own. Which they did. Amber and Kendric were careful to lay down cloth so that my carpet stays clean, and even after they both told me about how my chimney (not super used/dirty) surprised them with a pile of soot. Amber wanted to make sure everything was wiped up because she knew I had a toddler that played in the same room. Their family focus and mindset is why I would recommend them 100 times over. Their professionalism and cleanliness is why I would recommend them 110% over. They also never asked me to move anything from in front of the fireplace (although I did -- another company told me to clear EVERYTHING, even the stuff in the fireplace) and they didn't even mind that there was wood in the fireplace still. They were able to come out within a week and sweep my chimney at a very reasonable price. Compared to the competition they are the best value for your buck. They then took measurements for my custom chimney two flute cap and came back to install as soon as they received from the factory. I can't say that I know how good a job they did or if the chimney is actually clean , but I can speak to the impeccable service and I know that good quality is a byproduct. I contacted these people in my neighborhood and you can tell they have strong neighborhood ties. They heard I was a Johnny and did their best to squeeze me in. It is a husband wife team and they have great communication with each other and with me. Due to our situation (sick family in another country causing us to leave for a while) they squeezed us in at 7am 3 weeks from when I called. The owner was in frequent contact with me about the appointment and eventually got me in the day before at a more comfortable hour. We just bought a new house in NE, and are literal newbies at owning a wood-burning fireplace. Have long wanted one and now the dream comes true! Even more, with Chimney Pioneer we were surprised to have such a great experience with our first ever chimney sweep. For starters, they were the first crew on Yelp to respond with a quote, and also offered us the best price (out of 4 quotes). On our scheduled day, Amber and Kendric arrived 10 min early, and were every bit as warm and friendly as previous reviewers have said. Even better: no sooner did they get all their equipment in and protective gear in place, than they called me in to say the chimney was so clean it didn't even need a sweep. Instead they congratulated me on a beautiful chimney, taught me several things I never knew about them, shared lots of smiles and warmth, and didn't ask for a dime!! They were so kind and neighborly, and clearly not out to nickel and dime anyone or take payment they don't feel they've earned. A noble way to conduct business that I truly appreciate! After having FOUR other big chimney cleaning companies no show on me I was so frustrated! Amber answered the first call on Monday and was able to book me for that same week. She was extremely professional, let me know all the policies and what would take place and that they would text when they were on their way and then sent an email confirmation with info and a follow up email appointment reminder when our appointment was closer. When they arrived they were so kind and entertained my inquisitive 9 year olds questions as well as taught us about our chimney and the cleaning process. We like to support local and small businesses, and after the positive reviews were comfortable hiring Chimney Pioneer to clean our son's fireplace chimney. Making the appointment was easy and quick, and Amber was in regular communication with us right up to the service. Amber called the morning of the appointment and indicated they were ahead of schedule and could fit us in earlier, or could remain on schedule. We chose the earlier time and met them at our son's home, where we discovered two of the sweetest folks ever. They were very sensitive to animals in house (warned us the cat may be frightened of the vacuum before they activated it), insured that cover was down on flooring to keep it clean, and were very efficient in the cleaning process.
