I am a repeat customer and was told there was nothing else that could be offered to me. I Paid for a full inspection 2023 or 2024 and the year before had an inspection as well. I was told it's not needed every year unless there are problems. But their policy now is of such if they touch my insert, even removing the glass to hit a reset button for the remote they would have to do a full inspection. So total Cost would be close to $600.00 when all that is needed is a remote. I did find a company to Come and handle the remote only but I would have rather stayed with Fireplace Tech. Disappointed

He cleaned the liner tube, inspected the liner and chimney inside and out, and gave us an excellent health check. He also explained that "seasoned almond and oak are the best types of wood to burn, gave us a few recommendations of businesses that sell wood, showed us how to properly start the fire (ventilating house, turning off heater) and helped us identify and test out a blower we didn't even realize we had. While there wasn't a lot of cleaning to do on our wood burning system, the education provided was well worth the money spent!

Basically we only got half of what was promised to us and we even tipped him. Very sad. After a few years of open fires, we came around to the efficiency of a wood stove. Bill sold us a great stove, and installed it in one morning.
