This is the first time my family tried the food at this place. We had orange chicken with fried rice and the won tons. I don't think we will coming back. The won tons good, but the orange had too much batter and not enough chicken. The orange chicken was too hard to eat because of the amount of hard batter. The fried rice was not good either. It had chunks of chicken, which reminded me of the frozen meal you would get at the grocery store. If you want good chinese food, don't come here. read more

So I'm super picky with Chinese take out. I base it off on how good the chow mein is. This place is really good. Beef has a lot of Flavor, the orange chicken isn't soggy at all, in fact it's really crunchy with soft chicken in the middle. I will be saving the left overs for the wife! Good job guys read more

Went in for the first time a few weeks ago. Did not expect much but as soon as I walked in the food behind the glass looked great. Wasn't sure what to try but I got a couple different items and let me tell you that everything tasted great. Service was good. All in all was delicious and will be returning. read more

I have been coming to Chin's kitchen since I was 5 years old, ever since my memory had begun. I love this place, the food, the hospitality, and the egg rolls are my favorite! I find it extremely sad to see the racist reviews about it being a drug house. This place for the longest time was once a little shack in a corner and due to the great food services they have provided throughout the years, they were able to relocate. I now live in Brea and drive to Orange when I'm craving Chinese food because no others can compare! read more

For an inexpensive and quick Chinese meal, this place is the absolute best in the area. I dont recommend for sit down, and its not fancy, it is fast food. I was hopeful but I'll never go back. My steam rice was a combination of overcooked, about right and undercooked so that was an odd texture. The teriyaki chicken was just ok (a little greasy). The bbq pork smelled funky. It came with hard and soft pieces. The combo comes with an egg roll or soup. I got the egg flower soup and it was waaaay too salty. I only took two sips and threw it in the trash. I can usually handle some salty fast food but it was really not edible. The lady at the drive thru window was really nice though. Ok for starters I wish they had an option of 0 stars because it got my whole family sick, we usually don't eat out and we were coming back home after long days of errands and work and we stopped to get some food, first they served us little food and we are a family of 5 and usually with 2 plates we are good but this wasn't the case the amount of food served was probably sufficient for one plate. The food on the other hand tasted weird and sort of like a paste my parents described it and the rice was an odd color that after we all took a bite of everything we tossed the food away and it was just a waste of our money.. I hate to write a negative review during the pandemic where I understand businesses are doing their best, however.. if that is the case then as grateful as we should be to the small businesses they should be grateful to their customers instead of being rude to them. I ordered a chow mein bowl with beef and broccoli. I love their beef and broccoli here and mind you, I've been coming here frequently during this time because they offer drive through. Anyway, I recieve it and start eating, as I eat the more I notice how slimy and mushy the chowmein was underneath the smush beef. I stopped eating, I ate less than half. And returned to get a refund. When I explain to the lady I wasnt impressed, she looks to the bowl inside my car (before I handed it back) and said "but you ate almost all of it right?" in such a rude tone implying I just wanted to jip them for my money back. rather than apologizing to me for the quality being crappy. Sorry, I dont need that attitude. I'm a regular customer there the one time I kindly ask for a refund the lady gives me attitude. So I asked my officemates if anyone wanted to go get some crappy dollar chinese, i couldnt have described this place any better... I feel like it was a prophetic statement without even planning it.. So they have steam table options as well as a mongolian bbq grill and set up with very limited veggie choices and the standard 4 meats... I decided to just get something from the steamtable and what used to be known as dollar chinese. However this wasnt a buck... it was $4.99 for a 1 item lunch combo (1 item + chow mien or rice or friend rice. I got a chicken item with the chow mien. Unfortunately it was so bad that I wasnt able to eat even half of my noodles. *shivers* at the memory... This place is definitely not worth going back to IMHO... Regardless they did take AmEx and this is the only cheap chinese joint that I know of that has a drive through. They have plenty of parking, especially since the place is not that busy and its a large lot. It seems like a bad idea to me to have that kind of a set up... a big empty lot for a submarginal restaurant, that is a bad combo. So yeah I am gonna call this place a total pass. I think all of the negative reviews on here are reallllyyy funny! First of all, judging a places food based on who's serving the food? Who the F are you? That's just wrong and you sound like a person that's hard to please... Second, this place is wayyy better than Panda or half the other Chinese places out there.. Their food is ALWAYS fresh and they give you huugee portions for the price. I've been going to this restaurant for over 10 years - I've seen them work their way up from a dinky little hole in the wall to a very nice large modern styled restaurant - they have come UP this whole time meaning people obviously like the food. And especially in this economy?? That counts for something! The food is great, seriously not even going to go in to detail and all of the staff and owner have been nice the whole time this place has been open! This obviously isn't a 5 star restaurant so don't go to a Chinese place with a drive-thru if you're going to have those sort of expectations. Not ONCE have I gotten food poisoning from this place and I've probably eaten here more than all of you reviewers combined! lol... So the NEW Chin's Kitchen opened up across the street and has a drive-thru as well as a dining area for about 30-40 people. The food is still the same fast food oily but what I noticed is they jacked up the prices. A 2 item meal that once cost under $5 is now over $6. I understand they bought a new place and poured a lot of money into the place but the rise in price did not come with better food. On the outside they really tried to play off the whole "Panda Express" theme with a neon panda sign and all. That might have been cleaver on the owner's part but try and be Original and not play off as if you're part of the chain. Kind of a turn off. The Mongolian BBQ is small and a bit pricy for what you get. The food portions have shrank and still taste exactly the same. But at $6 you're now getting a bit out of your ideal range as I could eat at sit down restaurants for just one or two dollars more. The owner is still very nice and is usually on hand. The staff has tripled in size and are all about portion control now. Can I please get more Beef with my Broccoli and Beef? Can I get more sauce on my Sweet and Sour Chicken please? Yeah it's getting like that now. They are working on the fast food Japanese where the old place was. I was told it will be rolls like california rolls and stuff as well as quick 1-2 item dishes with a lot less oil. I'll review that when it comes out. I've never seen a Chinese restaurant with a drive thru before, so half a star for that. I had the Mongolian BBQ and it was alright. The Mongolian BBQ at the Village at Orange is small like a bathroom but taste way better. They have more options to put into the plate there. After 3 people asking if I wanted an eggroll or soup with my BBQ, and saying I want an eggroll, I never got it. ! Eventually after telling the owner twice that I didn't get it she asked me how many I wanted, I said 1 because only 1 came with my food, I probably could have gotten 2 out of her. Glad I only got 1, they taste baaad. My cousin agreed. Her food didn't taste that great either, and she didn't even have the BBQ, she had the regular Chinese food they were serving. It made her feel nauseated after she was done. The only reason we came here was because the food trucks at Best Buy were duds. :( read more
