Since I left New York I always wanted real Chinese Food and now I've found it. The Orange Chicken was phenomenal.

Everything was excellent especially the service. I usually don't get impressed easily but we will certainly be back.

Really great local spot! The food is consistently delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. Portions are generous, and everything tastes like it's made with care. The staff is super friendly, and the service is quick. Plus, they have almond cookies - a love of mine!. Definitely one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the area.

Quality family-style Chinese restaurant, hidden in Orange. This spot has been around forever. We stopped by after a hike, and it turned out to be the perfect choice! We ordered the sweet and sour chicken, stir-fried prawns, and crab rangoon. I love how the stir-fried dishes weren't greasy or overly heavy with MSG--just nicely seasoned. The sweet and sour chicken leaned a bit sweeter than I prefer, but the flour coating was very thin, making it a satisfying meal. My only complaint is about the crab rangoon--it was good, but I could mostly taste the cream cheese, not much crab. The restaurant has a calming vibe, which I really appreciated--and the food matched that feeling. Service was Professional and Excellent!

    1) the people are excellent!!! Almost everyone checked in on us multiple times... very family feeling... 2) the decor is nice and fun... with a Chinese flair... black red and white with a couple happy buddhas and even a cross on one 3) the food is excellent... we had Salt and pepper pork, cashew chicken, house chowmein... it was perfect so flavorful and not greasy (just how I love it) we wish we could pack it up and move them to Sacramento where we are seriously lacking in good Chinese food! Thanks for a delicious late lunch

A little but if everything! Faves: org chx, honey walnut shmp, chow mein but it wqs ALL soooo GOOD!

I was headed to Albertsons to grab dinner but seen this place and yelp the reviews and seen 4.3 stars and thought why not. I really should have stuck with the not, but this place was not worth the $45 dollars I paid. The orange chicken tasted burnt and salty. As you can see in the picture the glaze is super dark so I know the sauce was over cooked and burnt. It tasted nothing like orange. The fried rice tasted like boxed frozen burnt rice as well. Nothing tasted fresh. It all tasted like old food that was reheated in a pan and thrown in a box and changed $45 dollars for it. I'm so disappointed because food cost to much for it to be nasty. I don't know who is giving this place 5 stars but they are definitely lying. I wouldn't recommend this place or go back. The best thing was the vegetable egg rolls, but I didn't spend $45 for some veggie rolls. Please if you want to get good food and not waste your time or money DO NOT EAT HERE.

I finished it out of hunger, she did not. I ordered mongolian beef and noodle instead of rice, they give you the option. Wife ordered the cashew chicken. It comes with an egg roll as well. They all seem to taste the same weather you get them from 3 item combo store or better restaurant. Not here for the egg roll. Wife had the cashew chicken, it was presented well. Water with lemon was served, not offered a soft drink or other beverage. The dear wife can be a food critic and her response was she enjoyed the meal. I did as well. I did notice the noodles had an different taste to them, could have used a little soy sauce maybe. Overall not a bad experience. Would I go again, maybe, if the wife brings it up. This place has great deals and happens to be next to one of my fav Japanese restaurants too! We started with egg drop soup and it was thick and hearty, added a little soy and spice to it and it was great, the schezwan wontons were amazing as well and had an interesting spice chili sauce to them which was great (I used the leftover chili sauce to add to my other food as well). The beef and broccoli had a lot of flavor but was my least fav of everything we ordered. Not bad but typical dish. The fried rice was cooked fine and I liked the veggies they included, it had nice taste and complimented the food as well. The chow mein was delicious and had great flavor and fresh ingredients too. Service was quick and excellent. The restaurant is pretty small so any party over 4 will need to combine tables which is what we did but it worked out. I came here on a Tuesday evening with two of my brothers and a friend came here to hangout. Me and…read moremy friend are not lamb fans and was a bit hesitant on ordering the food so we did hold off on ordering for ourselves. And said we decided to share and eat off of my two brothers plate before we decided to consider coming back or eating more. There was only one worker that was working at the time, but she did a phenomenal job, considering she was holding down the fort for the restaurant by herself. She also mentioned she doesn't like lamb, but she would eat the one here herself so it gave me a pretty good first impression thus far. We ordered the lamb skewers, grilled rib, shank over rice, homemade yogurt, and Cole slaw. Lamb Skewers - 4.5/5 the portion was very generous! $15 for 3 large skewers that was about 1.25 ft length each. Was perfectly grilled and did not taste gamey at all. I believe it was Szechuan pepper that seasoned the skewers. I didn't eat enough to recognize if there was any numbing, but the bite that I took was amazing. Outside was crunchy inside was chewy enough to enjoy, but not tough. Grilled rib - 5/5 I was very pleasantly surprised at how although it was very charred and crunchy in the outside that the inside was very soft and fatty. The meat literally fell off the bone. Again, no gaminess and very pleasant to enjoy. Shank - 5/5 I would have to say that this was the hero of the evening from all the dishes we ordered. The meat was extremely soft, fatty, and literally fell off the bone as I was holding it up. It was very similar to pork flavor and extremely enjoyable for me. On a separate note, I enjoyed that so much but because I had already eaten before this dinner, I came back a separate day to have that dish for myself. The rice seems to be cooked in some type of protein broth and if I had to guess it's probably lamb broth along with carrot. It also came with size of pickled items to lighten the fatness from the meat as well as a small bowl of lamb based soup. Homemade yogurt - 4/5 had a slight tartness to it and light sweetness, but was more leaning towards the sweet side of things. I enjoyed it with the dried raisins and the granola for texture and it was a pretty good ending to the entire meal. Coleslaw - 3/5 it tasted average and didn't seem to be anything special. Though it was good to have it along with all the other protein items to lighten up each bite.

There was a crowd of people waiting outside so I was a bit nervous that it would take really long. But we added our name to the waitlist on the iPad outside and we were sat in less than 30 minutes (when we went on the list, we were party 13). The wait went by super fast! By the time we finished our meal, there were lots of open seats. I first heard of this place as a "copycat Din Tai Fung". I actually think it's better to think of this place as another Taiwanese restaurant that serves similar food to DTF, but not a copycat. Although some of the popular items are the same (XLBs for example) the restaurants are definitely different. Firstly, the service here is SO FAST. And all the servers were really kind! We ordered our food and it felt like everything came out within MINUTES of each other. By the time we had all our savory dishes, I had only taken one bite out of the first dish. That's how fast it was! Haha We ended up ordering: Spicy XLBs, Beef Roll, Golden Prime Beef Noodle Soup, and Taro XLBs for dessert. Everything was DELICIOUS! My husband's favorite was the Beef Roll, while I think my favorite may have been the soup. The Spicy XLBs (4/5) were great! They felt quite large as I ALMOST had to eat them in two bites (but like why would I ever do that). Flavor was great and I thought there was actually very little spice in these. Compared to DTF'x XLBs, I thought these were just as juicy, but less ginger-forward (which made it feel less flavorful), and more sweet. I was personally missing some acid and wanted a bit more salt cuz it was a tad sweet. The Beef Rolls were pretty good too (4.25/5)! Nice and crispy. Even though it's pan fried, it felt light because of the vegetables. And I know this is weird to say, but the combination of beef, hoison sauce, and veggies almost tasted like pho flavors...but crispy? Yummy! I personally again wanted a bit more salt. But I'd definitely order again. Now for my favorite, the Golden Prime Beef Noodle Soup (4.5/5). WOOWWEEE! She's spicy! And I have a good spice tolerance so beware. I really loved the flavor of the broth. It was spicy and also had a really clean flavor. It looked like it would be a watery broth but WRONG! It was so flavorful. I loved the chewy noodles too and even the noodles on their own were spicy cuz they clung onto the broth. A really delicious soup! I'd love to eat this on a cold winter's day or when I'm sick. Delicious! The Taro XLBs (3.9/4) were pretty good too, but skippable. They weren't too sweet, which was nice. They had a lovely consistency and good taro flavor. But compared to everything else, they weren't that special. Overall, a really delicious restaurant! I'd definitely come here if I was craving XLBs/Taiwanese food.

We waited one hour on my visit, but that is to be expected as the restaurant is quite small. Beef Rolls (5/5): We got two orders of these, and it was our favorite for a reason. Crispy and flaky wrap on the outside and it was packed with flavor. It was very satisfying to eat! Scallion Pancakes (3.5/5): They were plain but that is to be expected, I didn't taste much scallion. It needed the sauce of course! Spicy Wontons (4/5): These are solid and the chili oil does pack a lot of heat. I would say they are on the spicier side, just wish there was a little more depth to it. Seven Grams XLB (4/5): Juicy and flavorful! Not the absolute best I've had, but still worth ordering. Golden Beef Noodle Soup (5/5): This bowl right here was amazing. Green leafy kale paired with the extra hearty soup was what made this bowl a standout dish for me. 100% would order this alone! Mapo Tofu (5/5): Yummy silky tofu cubes with the minced meat sauce were delicious in every bite! I had no other complaints, but this dish gets very filling easily. Seriously, this place is one of my favorite places in Tustin. The service one inside is efficient, and the ambience is a bit noisy and packed, but this place is popular for a reason. I'll definitely revisit this spot when I get the chance.
