I come to this location more often than the Anaheim one just because of the Salmon Lovers combo--totally worth it! All of these meals have been $18 or less, and I hope this location keeps it that way. My favorite part has definitely been the California roll and tempura, they're always so good and so filling. I think I like the salmon teriyaki the best since the salmon skin is also usually crispy. The servers are always good at letting me know when an item is almost done, and sometimes they'll offer a water cup while I wait as well. The restaurant is small, but the seats are always filled, which just goes to show their popularity. I will keep coming here for the deals and for the food! read more

As a first time patron to this establishment, and not familiar with restaurants in the area, they nailed it. My order was ready early, it was accurate and upon looking inside each container, I was pleasantly surprised with the size of each roll. The quality equally matched and we truly enjoyed out meal. The restaurant is cute and on the smaller side. It was about half full for an early Friday evening when I picked up my order. It's been years I've visited this spot. I stopped by and the vibes are not the same. There was no customers pictures hanging on the window with string lights and decor. It's plain with limited seating. I recall the place always packed. Once seated we were asked about our beverages and then a few minutes later another waitress asked about our beverages order and let her know it was already placed. The rolls are massive (mostly rice) and this was not the way I remembered. I noticed during our meal that they lacked bringing napkins and tray for the soy sauce. I was full from 1 roll and I still had to remove most of the rice and topping from the sushi roll to finish the best part. 2 appetizers, 2 rolls, one green tea drink =$60 Then paying and heading out the bathroom doors were open and I went in to use. Lock the doors from both side, there's one from the kitchen side and one from the outside facing the parking. The kitchen staff I guess needed to use and kept trying to open the door and knocking and kept telling them ir was occupies. I guess they realized about it when they went outside the parking lot and were told it was occupied. As previously mentioned, the vibes are not the same when I used to come here. This local hole in the wall vibe doesn't not match how amazing the sushi is. If you love sushi, do yourself a favor and put this place in your 'must try this place' list. The portion size and rice:sushi is perfect. Pictures don't do it justice- these rolls are massive and absolutely delicious. We ordered the Caribbean, Jim Doti, and OC roll and they were all fantastic. The Caribbean has eel sauce and spicy mayo drizzled on one side and sweet thai chili on the other, which is great for folks that don't like lots of sauce. The salmon on the top was cut thick and the amount of icrab wasn't overwhelming. The Jim Doti was packed with spicy tuna and the cilantro added the perfect balance of fresh flavors. The jalapeño slices were a little on the thick side, but we love spicy and the crunch added nice dimension. The OC roll has super thinly sliced lemon on top, which paired really well with the salmon and adds a pop of brightness that brings the whole roll together. The eel sauce and spicy mayo are drizzled on the side, which is great for sauce enthusiasts and minimalists. This is definitely going to the sushi spot for me in Orange. 10/10 would recommend and will absolutely go back. read more

I come here weekly and drive 25 minutes for this hidden gem because I can never get tired of their mango roll! I hope the mango roll stays forever. The mango is always sweet and pairs well with the salmon tempura and cream cheese inside. It's not on their menu but displayed on their wall, so don't miss out on it. Since we love this place and come so often, we've also tried the volcano, midnight sun, himalayas, fever, amber, knock out, and stuffed mushrooms. ALL SO GOOD!! Waiters are nice and helpful. Tried this spot out for the first time recently, and it was a great choice! While we were trying to decide what to order and settling on about 6 items, our server, Andres, was very helpful in telling us their rolls are pretty big and that we might want to order a coypleof things first. We did just that and ordered 2 rolls and 2 appetizers, their tofu and gyoza. Andres did us a favor! They weren't kidding. Their rolls are fairly large. It was the right call! I am not sure if I came on an off day but not only did it take a long time for anybody to notice me there, they weren't very hospitable thereafter. Don't let it's location fool you, inside of a strip mall near the packing house this hidden gem is worth visiting. Although the parking lot is on the smaller side, we never have trouble finding a spot, and there's hardly ever a wait. We most often call in our orders over the phone, they're always timely and accurate. The size of the rolls are also perfect. You get what you ask for and the portions are fair. I love and recommend the sunset roll, firecracker roll, and the amber roll. We also usually get their tempura and miso soup. Highly recommend you give this location a try! read more

Menus and menu display have no prices??? And when I asked they managed to find an old menu - apparently the only one in the entire restaurant with prices. And I was told that customers just order without regard for price? Really? More importantly, the sushi is not what it used to be. The gari (sushi ginger) is supposed to be made from young ginger, this was crudely sliced mature ginger barely pickled. The wasabi was very hard... most likely made from powder without letting it set in a sealed bowl to mature. Finally, tempura pickled jalapeño is very strange, and not very appetizing. We ordered takeout and it was really disappointing. We picked up our order, had 5 different rolls and also a seaweed salad. Unfortunately it was all bad and tasted bad. Myself, husband and daughter took a couple bites and we had to toss it. Later we were all nauseous and ended up with an upset stomach. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place. It was our first and will be our last. The individuals that were there and cooks were friendly. I surprised of the individuals making the food. Like if you know its going to be a long time just say so. I simply orders a Las Vegas roll and side of edamame for pick up and was told 15-20 mins so of course I waited about 15 and then headed over. I finally arrived and they said it wasn't ready. No big deal. I asked how much longer and the said 15 mins. I wasn't very happy because I also had other food in the car but I said ok no problem. Then 20 mins go by, then its 30 mins and I go back and check in and they said its still not ready. At this point I am livid. At the 50th minute mark of waiting I go back to ask for a refund and they said OH yeah I we forgot your food is now ready. I waited a whole hour and wasted my time and the food is AVERAGE at best. Disappointed and Overpriced I decided to try this place after finding that Kai Sushi on Lincoln and Tustin was closed, and unfortunately, I regret it. We ordered five rolls and some edamame, and the bill came out to around $90. For that price, I expected much better quality. The rolls were sloppy, and the fish was warm and overly salty. With the way the economy is right now, I think restaurants need to step up their game if they expect people to pay these kinds of prices. You can't just phone it in anymore--you have to deliver quality, and sadly, this place did not. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and go to Kai Sushi instead.
