Quick lunch to-go with my cousins. Parking: They're located in a medium sized plaza. The plaza can get busy, but finding a parking spot can be easy. Ambiance/Environment: This location has a medium sized space with a decent amount of indoor seating. Perfect for groups of all sizes. It's very casual, and the tables and chairs are well kept. Service: We were warmly greeted once we entered. Since we only came for the poke bowls, we were directed to fill out the sheet. Once we were done filling out the sheet, we handed them to one of the workers at the register the paid for our bowls. Throughput took about 12 min after placing our orders. Poke bowls: Each of us got a poke bowl. I ordered mine with tuna and double salmon, seaweed salad, corn, masago, jalapeños, edamame, green onions, furikake, imitation crab, cucumbers, and spicy mayo & house sauce. Each ingredient was fresh, and I thought the fish was good. Pricing: The portion sizes fit the price. It's a nice quick n easy meal. My main reason for the 2 stars off is because I found a hair in my bowl. read more

For almost a decade this location has been not only consistently delicious but fair. A poke bowl with fresh ingredients and cold fish under $20 is unheard of in areas surrounding this location. Aside from treating myself with their bowls, interacting with the owner/lady is always pleasant since she is very kind and sweet. They deserve more attention! The bathroom and tables are very clean and free cups of water as well. They check all the boxes. 5/5 location. Been coming here a long time and plan to keep it that way. read more

This is hands down the best bang for your buck, $10.95 for 3 proteins is unheard of nowadays! It's hardly ever busy in here, and it's always clean inside. Never had any issues, and even their sushi rolls are amazing! Definitely deserves to be more popular! read more

A little disappointed. I ordered the a spicy tuna roll and salmon sashimi. The salmon was great but the spicy tuna tasted a little too fishy. (Almost bad). I hope it wasn't off. I never finished it. Went with my mom and cousin after golfing , it's a very spacious place, and the menu is easy to read, they have alot of pictures. They made the rolls in front of us, and we all got served at the same time time. The food was really good, and I love their appetizers. read more

Back again - good place for a nice meal at a reasonable price. Poke was fresh and the rest of the bowl was very good. I got a mixture of brown rice and field greens with 3 portions of tuna. This place was really nice. Parking was easy. It was a big plaza and the place is located in the corner. When you walk in, you can either fill out a paper for your Poke order, or there is also q nebu of their sushi roll. The worker was a nice older woman who explained how to order and asked us if we were taking out or eating in. Once we were done filling out the paper we just bring it up to the counter and she rang us up. I got the sushi and my friend got the Poke bowl. The place wasn't busy so we sat ourselves. The food came really fast. My friend got the poke bowl and the house sauce was a really good pair. The sushi I got was the vegetarian option. The avocados were fresh and the rice was a nice consistency. They had a water station was self serve with Cucumbers which added a nice taste to the water. The bathroom is a gender neutral one that was kept very clean and organized. 10/10 would go to again for the chill vibes. read more

I go here all the time for a quick and cheap lunch! Cost: great prices! I feel like it's hard to find places in 2023 where the basic rolls are under $7. Portion sizes: small but still satisfying. The customizable Poke Bowls are a medium portion for $10 and all their rolls (that I've ordered so far) come with 8 pieces instead of 6. We order 3 rolls when we get takeout and can finish it in one sitting. I've had the Pokerrito before - not big enough to have leftovers but still satisfying. Service: I haven't dined in yet, but takeout is usually fast. I recommend ordering ahead on their website. It's a mom and pop shop so if there is a rush of people, then expect a wait. That being said, I've come in during regular lunch/dinner hours and I've never seen more than 5 parties in the restaurant at a time. Ambience: very casual, not super well lit, there are boxes everywhere. Quality: 7/10, but you get what you pay for. Sometimes the rolls fall apart. Unagi is good, shrimp tempura is soggy (takeout), salmon is decent. They forgot (?) the tuna in our Jessica roll and replaced it with more salmon, so I can't speak for the tuna quality . Bottom line: It's not the most extravagant place, but it really satisfies the craving for sushi/poke at an unbeatable price. read more

This is a hole in the wall spot located in a quiet strip mall, but it fixes a craving for poke at a low price. I like poke spots where you can submit a paper slip with what you want as opposed to asking for it Chipotle style like other spots, so that was nice too. Tuna in the bowl was good! read more

They are known for their Poke but also serves Sushi. My order came out in a timely manner. Food was good. I will come back to check out their Poke. The pokerinno is good! It is wrapped nicely that I can eat it neatly it's not messy. I got mine with double Salmon and 1 Tuna with brown rice, crab meat, seaweed salad, and carrots. The sauce I got was spicy mayo and garlic ponzu. The thing that I like about this place is you fill out a slip on what you want, so there is no rush :) The price was okay, the portion was slightly on the smaller side. However, I think it's a good size for me! Otherwise I wouldn't be able to finish it. I'd say though, the place is a little dark and dim. I wouldn't recommend to hangout there. I think this place is good for to-go orders. They provide outside seating.. which I guess is better than sitting inside. read more

Instead of a subway-like poke spot, you fill out a paper to check off the things you want and they make your order! Quality of fish is not bad. The regular bowl was ~$9 after tax. Sauces were bomb!!! Used to love this place but the lady that be taking orders couldn't even fulfill an order over the phone for a simple pickup and just said, "no im too busy..." like what? This jem is hidden in a corner strip mall behind Marie Calendars, and easily passed up. It's clean and spacious if you decide to stay and eat. Our favorite are the poke bowls. We've been coming here for quite awhile, never had a problem with our order, and it's one of my husbands favorite places. If he had his choice, he'd eat there every day. Definitely beats fast food prices for an excellent all around healthy meal. read more

1. Unwelcoming atmosphere. 2. Overpriced bowls. I paid $13.36 for a bowl and a can drink. 3. Skimpy on ingredients. I ordered octopus as one of my proteins and got only 2-3 pieces!! Bowl was more rice than anything. 4. Food quality and flavor was subpar overall. I honestly feel bad for this place because it has potential to be so much better. read more

Went here for my wife's birthday lunch as sushi is her all time favorite and we love trying…read moredifferent omakase sets when an occasion presents itself. I made reservations so we could get the premium set. It was our first time, so not sure what to expect. The reservation for seating wasn't needed as the tables were mostly empty but the reservation was needed to make sure the omakase was available. There was no sushi bar seating, so the omakase came out all at once instead of a piece by piece experience. That's fine. Oddly though, the waiter did not explain which fish each piece was, but the sushi chef James told us at the end of the meal that the waiter was new and Chef James then explained the fish himself. Weird backwards experience but every one was kind and well-meaning. The quality of the fish in the nigiri was exceptional. Some of the best I've had in the area considering how close it is located to competitors like Ooshima and Kaigen etc. The fish all came dressed, which was to be expected. It was all pretty delicious except it was all just a little bit sweet for my taste.. I prefer more savory, salty, or lemony. That being said, the quality made up for the preference in taste which could easily be remedied with some soy sauce, ponzu, lemon, etc. The bite of Wagyu nigiri was genuinely the best wagyu I've ever had. We also tried the mussels and agedashi tofu for hot appetizers. Would 100% recommend either dish. Overall, happy with the experience as wifey was a happy birthday girl. We did not have room to try any regular rolls so I cannot comment on that. The one negative thing I will say is to absolutely skip the handrolls - any of them. The machine compacted rice made a roll that should be delicate feel mishandled and ruined the texture/experience of that roll. That being said, will definitely be coming back again for some more of the best quality nigiri in the area.

I saw some people coming in wanting to order a la carte, but the waitress said they weren't able to do that at the moment. I know this might be a rough transition to a new system so I hope people will give them a chance to figure it out. Overall, the food is still great and I'm happy I can try some of their sides I've been wanting to try, but now it comes with all the rolls that I can double and triple order! I'm sure their new ordering system will be streamlined over time and I hope their AYCE transition will be a successful one.

Caliente is my daughter's absolute favorite. She will order this plate every single time we go. Sunkist ($16) Double Albacore ($16) Popcorn crawfish ($8). All were excellent except Popcorn Crawfish (mostly just the fried batters) After we finished our food, the birthday celebration begins. Light was dimmed, up beats birthday song on the speaker. The waitresses came to our table to give the bday girl a build in lighted paper flower crown to wear on her head while clapping & singing a birthday song. They also brought a plate of Green Tea flavor fried mochi ice cream with candle. The Mochi ice cream was so so good & it's free. It was so special. What a nice surprise! The staff did offer us the teppanyaki experience, but since we don't eat red meat or chicken from certain places and weren't sure how the food preparation process worked with mixed ingredients, we opted for a regular table instead. One downside was the seating arrangement. We were seated away from most of the other guests, and it often felt like the staff forgot we were there. Our original host/server was attentive and friendly, but once they were busy with other tasks, it became difficult to get assistance. It was also not busy for a Tuesday evening. We found ourselves waiting for long periods or having to wave someone down, which wasn't ideal, especially for a birthday dinner. No way they sold 166 beers in an hour with one person working the bar and shop empty in an hour. They could have posted on their instagram or socials that they sold out but failed to do so. I'm sure a lot of people all night were disappointed to see that they didn't have it or post anything about it.

Stopped by here the other day with a few friends for a quick lunch, and it was a great experience. We had really friendly service, and the food, as well as the location itself, was really fresh and clean. It's a mom-and-pop shop, so they really take care to provide fresh fish and ingredients at affordable prices. A cool perk is that they actually serve poke in addition to the selection of sushi and sashimi. Its proximity to Chapman just makes it even easier for me to come back again and again. Their prices are lower than any other Poke Sushi place in Orange, and their poke bowls are the biggest and freshest tasting bowls I've ever had. The fish portion was minimal, not even a full scoop, and while the taste was okay, it wasn't exceptional. The place appears to be a family-run business, with a spacious area filled with plenty of tables and chairs, though it wasn't very busy. Best Poke I've had so far, and I eat Poke at different places probably 1-2 times a week. The toppings are great and it's the perfect balance of protein, toppings and rice. Poke is a touchy subject for me. I LOVE sushi in its purest form, at a Japanese bar handed to me by the chef. This is a fast service way of eating raw fish. They also have nice seating inside. We got there less than 30 minutes before they closed. They did not rush us out. They did not make us feel inconvenienced. We were able to enjoy our lunch and they were very attentive and I will definitely be back.

I made reservations so we could get the premium set. It was our first time, so not sure what to expect. The reservation for seating wasn't needed as the tables were mostly empty but the reservation was needed to make sure the omakase was available. There was no sushi bar seating, so the omakase came out all at once instead of a piece by piece experience. That's fine. Oddly though, the waiter did not explain which fish each piece was, but the sushi chef James told us at the end of the meal that the waiter was new and Chef James then explained the fish himself. Weird backwards experience but every one was kind and well-meaning. The quality of the fish in the nigiri was exceptional. Some of the best I've had in the area considering how close it is located to competitors like Ooshima and Kaigen etc. The fish all came dressed, which was to be expected. It was all pretty delicious except it was all just a little bit sweet for my taste.. I prefer more savory, salty, or lemony. That being said, the quality made up for the preference in taste which could easily be remedied with some soy sauce, ponzu, lemon, etc. The bite of Wagyu nigiri was genuinely the best wagyu I've ever had. We also tried the mussels and agedashi tofu for hot appetizers. Would 100% recommend either dish. Overall, happy with the experience as wifey was a happy birthday girl. We did not have room to try any regular rolls so I cannot comment on that. The one negative thing I will say is to absolutely skip the handrolls - any of them. The machine compacted rice made a roll that should be delicate feel mishandled and ruined the texture/experience of that roll. That being said, will definitely be coming back again for some more of the best quality nigiri in the area.

The waitresses came to our table to give the bday girl a build in lighted paper flower crown to wear on her head while clapping & singing a birthday song.
