    A roach leg
    Ericka S.

Not worth it anymore, at all, and we will never return! My pad see ew was just ewwww! I pulled a roach leg out of my mouth! F'n disgusting, I threw up, I still feel nauseous, and I don't feel well. I feel like I might of ate an entire cockroach. I'm vegetarian mind you. I wish I could leave negative stars they don't even deserve one. Whatever happened with the ownership or chefs absolutely reflects in the meal and service. It's disturbing to see how terrible the food has become, and how dirty the place is. Save your health, time and money. It's not worth the stomach ache, headache, and mental stress. Be warned with the image. That disgusting leg was in my mouth! I'm mortified even leaving this review but I'm doing you a service. I wouldn't send my enemies here. God bless!

This was a sub par experience. It was probably half of one star. Yes meaning .5 star. I noticed the place was different and they stated they are new owners for the past 2 years. I used to really enjoy the food here so I was looking forward to a healthy lunch /early dinner. Today I ordered: - Soft spring rolls with shrimp, veggies and pickled veggies - Woon Sen with extra cabbage Thai iced tea on the house. - It was not very good, tasted strong, yet watery at the same time The spring rolls were a generous size. But they were missing the fresh herbs. Also the dipping sauce was not dippable. Very thick brown sauce - maybe straight from a large jug. Not the normal peanut hoisin sauce I am used to. I cut it down with their watered down hot sauce. It seemed to do the trick. - Portion size was good but not the same taste - Too much lettuce - Missing herbs The woon sen was terrible. I was only able to eat the clear glass noodles. The veggies were not fresh, very soft, or boiled instead of crunchy stir fry that it is supposed to be. - When I brough it to their attention, she offered to remake it or make me something else - I agreed to a pad thai for replacement, she asked if I wanted it - to go, I said yes. I waited and waited. Nothing ever came out. Instead she gave me a SMALL $3 discount and never made the pad thai. She said she forgot to tell me, you can't have both the discount and replacement dish. She never gave me a choice. Odd thing was she decided this all by herself with the owner via phone. And never informed me of my options. I had already tipped her when she gave me the disappointing news. A more fair customer service move would have been to give $6 off or take the awful dish off my total bill. Another thing they do that is not great, is that they have 1 or 2 sets of condiments, and they are not covered, exposed to air the whole time and customers share these condiments. - Not the most safe food safety way to handle condiments Wasted my money and my time. Money I can always earn back, but not time. Well, I will never be going back here again.

Swung by for take out on a Friday evening. I ordered online via Yelp/grubhub and regrettably learned about the hefty surcharge after, which was understandable. I'll try doing phone order next time, if possible. Pad see ew with pork - flavor was great but pork was a bit dry. Tom yum soup with chicken - Chicken was perfectly juicy here. flavor was a ok. Had the tart and sweet flavor but seemed to fall a little flat. Given the quaint little shop, local vibes and great service (even for just takeout), I would give this place another try if in the area.

Been to lucky's a few times now and I think I have my favorite dishes here. Highly recommend the green curry, they put so much delicious goodness in there including eggplants, bamboo basil and peppers. I also really like their pad thai and papaya salad. what makes their papaya salad special is they put little pieces of lime in it- gives it such a nice tang. Would skip on the larb and Chinese broccoli pork next time. Overall good each time I've gone, would recommend!

Well Max and I have finally finished the month long LA Fair. We can finally have some food that's not deep fried or wrapped in bacon that cost way too much. Thai it is. This place is nearby his house so we thought we would try it. Got the bbq chicken very tender and flavorful (8/10) crying tiger beef perfectly cooked and that sauce (8/10) and the pad see ew good standard fare with chicken (7/10) definitely a good pic on Max's part!!

Came here to grab lunch to go. The lady at the counter was very nice and gave us complimentary thai teas. After looking at the menu, we ordered pad thai with shrimp, pineapple fried rice, and massaman curry with beef. Thai Tea- Perfectly creamy with a strong tea base. It has a nice, sweet finish. Pad Thai with Shrimp- It has a good amount of sauce which I like, sweet and tangy with a slightly spicy finish. Shrimp is tender and the vegetables give it a crunchy texture. Pineapple Fried Rice- The seasoning on this was so good! Every bite was bursting with flavor and the pineapple pieces offered a sweet complement to the palate. Massaman Curry- Curry base was flavorful and they give plenty of carrots and potatoes to bulk up the dish. The beef was tender and worked well with the sauce. Great meal overall!

This place is perfect for a nice lunch or dinner spot. Came here with a friend and the food was great! Had a lot of flavor and some spice but not crazy.

Pad Thai, Yellow Curry with rice, Orange Chicken and Chow Mein.
    Daniel D.

It's a small restaurant on the corner of the intersection with more than enough parking. I came in on a Monday night feening for some of that good good and was seated immediately. Dinner consisted of Pad Thai, Yellow Curry, and Orange chicken and chow mein combo. The Pad Thai was hitting different with the way I couldn't stop eating it. Unfortunately I had to share so I had no choice but to. If you're trying to play it safe, the Pad Thai is your best bet. Yellow Curry was decent. Nothing too crazy, but it served its purpose as part of dinner. The Orange Chicken and Chow Mein was CRAAAZY. This is by far the crunchiest orange chicken, I've had. No exaggeration. I had trouble putting my fork in it because of how thicc the coating outside was. The way the chicken crumbled in my mouth made me think I was eating pork rinds, except it tasted better. Sorry to all the pork rind fans out there. The dishes definitely hit the spot. We didn't have much interaction with the server, though he seemed like he was in a rush as he ran in and out of the kitchen, despite the restaurant not being that busy. Maybe there were a lot of take out orders? He also didn't come back to us for water or to just check in after giving us the dishes. But if you're just here for the food, then it's a spot you can't go wrong with.

Pad See Ew with a cockroach leg

We've been coming here for a few years but the last two times were off. Tonight we got our usual. My wife ordered the pad see ew with tofu and I ordered the Thai boat noodles and combination fried rice. So we get home and we start eating. I'm half way done with my boat noodles when my wife's asks me, "what is this?" She takes, what she's thinks is garlic, out of her mouth and puts its on the napkin. Lo and behold it's a cockroach leg!?! We have taken this place out of our rotation and have filed a complaint with the Orange County Health Care Agency - Environmental Health Division.

    Sticky Rice with Mango
    Britney M.

Mostly good, overall! Mango sticky rice 10/10 This has to be one of the best mango sticky rice dishes I have had! And I loveeeeee mango sticky rice. I'm always trying this at Thai places (you probably can see than in my reviews haha). This one was so fresh and warm. The coconut sauce was delicious, and they gave you a ton of it! The rice was freshly made, and the mango was perfectly ripe. It doesn't get any better. Shrimp roll 10/10 Now, these are really great. The shrimps were plump and the outside wontons were crispy. Perfect texture! And the sweet and sour sauce topped it off! Yum!! Thai Tea 1/10 The Thai tea was not good. It tasted off. Wasn't sweet enough like Thai tea should be. I couldn't even drink it. Threw it away. Stir fry tofu 4/10 This was just odd tasting. It was tofu with noodles and veggies. It had no flavor and was so bland. The tofu was pretty gross tasting too. This dish needed some sauce or flavor. It was dry and bland. I was not about it at all. Yellow Curry 10/10 My partner said the yellow curry was one for the best he has ever had. He loved it. Said the flavor and spices were all there. He typically doesn't rave about curry, but this one got him singinggg!

    Tom Kha Seafood

I love the Tom Kha seafood. It's my go to here all the time. It's delicious and very nutritious. I get a side of white rice and with the soup it's is.... Fire.

To Go Order - Fresh Spring Roll, Pad See Ew, Tom Kha Chicken Soup, Green Curry
    Sarah B.

Picked up lunch from here and it was great to try! The Green Curry and Tom Kha soup were both delicious. The spring rolls were great (and huge). The Pad See Ew was just okay in my opinion, but on the other hand, the Thai Tea was super tasty. Indoor seating is limited but we grabbed it to go so no issue there. Would definitely come back!

I've been coming here for Thai food for a while but lately the service has really gone downhill, and my most recent visit was the last straw for me. They offered me free Thai tea which was a nice gesture, but that's where the good customer service started and ended. I ordered the Tom Yum soup and the flavor was fine, but half of the soup was filled with "filler" ingredients like lemon grass and onions, and less of the good stuff like mushrooms, tomatoes, and hardly any protein. I also got the papaya salad with shrimp and there were only 2 pieces of shrimp!! The papaya salad was also EXTREMELY salty and when I took one bite and asked if they could make it with less salt, they said sure but they would have to take my plate back AND charge me to make a new one. I've never been to a restaurant where they not only took the messed up plate from you and charged you for it, as well as the new plate, and this is unacceptable to me. Finally, the Tom Yum soup was only supposed to be $13 as shown on the menu, but they charged me $14 for it. When I brought this up with the waiter, he said their computer was wrong and refused to honor the price on the menu. His English was not the best but what I was saying was very clear and obvious, and while he had no problem understanding me up until this point of service, suddenly he acted like he had no idea what i was saying. Even though the difference was only $1, it was the principle of not even being willing to fix their own mistake that is upsetting. Terrible customer service and really poor experience. Will not be returning back here and recommend you avoid as well unless you want to pay premium for the minimum amount of protein in your extremely salty food, and be overcharged and bait & switched on your food price when the bill comes.

So of course, I gave it a try since I love a good deal and I love Thai food. I got the pad see ew with chicken and yellow curry with chicken. Both lunch specials. I did take out so I can't really speak to the ambiance. However, the restaurant isn't too big and it's nothing noteworthy. When placing the online order, they take your payment online so all I had to do was walk in and pick up at the cashier area. When I brought it home, I dug into the food. At first, it didn't look like there was a lot of food, but once I started eating, I noticed that it was actually a fair portion for the pad see ew. The yellow curry was also nice because you were able to select the level of spice. I selected medium and it had a nice heat to it all in all. It was really good. I appreciate that the food wasn't overly salty but had good flavors. The lunch specials also came with some fried wonton looking items which was really tasty as well. I would definitely check it out if you're in the area, even though the appearance on the outside, doesn't look anything special and the location is somewhat questionable. Don't let that deter you from coming in though!

Pork spicy basil 2/5: this had a shockingly, tiny portion of protein and was 3/4 veggies, of which some were big slices of onion. Flavor was just OK, spice level was good. For $15 this was a definite letdown. Chicken panang 4/5: this one is solid. Flavor and spice are good, not a generous amount of protein, but was as expected for the price of the dish. Bbq ribs 3/5: very tender, tastes more like American bbq. Again a bit stingy on the protein with just 4 medium sized ribs and a tiny pinky sized rib (so I guess 1/4 rib?) for $18. Okay I normally never write reviews this long but this place deserves it lol…read more We were craving Thai food one night and randomly searched for a place that was still open. Found this little spot and ordered takeout thinking it would just be your average Thai food. Super small, cozy restaurant. We got the salad roll, red curry, tom yum soup, and pad thai and ... we were shooketh. The tom yum soup was INSANELY good. Fresh, flavorful, super lemon grassy in the best way. The only times I've had tom yum that tasted this good was in Bangkok and one restaurant in Vegas. After that meal we immediately said we needed to come back and actually eat there because there was no way everything on the menu wasn't amazing. Second visit we planned to try different things... but ended up craving the same dishes again lol. Reordered the salad roll and pad thai, then added tom yum noodle soup and crab fried rice. HOLY CANNOLI. The salad rolls are a must. I love that its not filled with noodles so it actually tastes fresh and light instead of filling you up instantly. The sauce is soooo good too. The crab fried rice was ridiculously flavorful and the tom yum noodle soup somehow tasted even better dining in. Then yes... we came back AGAIN for the third time this week Ordered drunken noodles, crab fried rice again because we couldn't help ourselves, salad rolls again, wonton noodle soup, BBQ chicken, and tom kha soup. The BBQ chicken was so soft and juicy and the tom kha soup was chef's kiss. We ended up talking to the owner because I am obsessed with this place and she told us how her and her husband were both engineers and bought this restaurant 2 years ago because her husband loves cooking. They are the fourth owners and apparently this restaurant has been opened since 1986! She also told us they grow their own chili peppers, which makes sense because everything tastes so fresh and intentional. Apparently they also have a chef that worked at a 5-star hotel in Thailand and is known for his boat noodles, so that's next on our list. I kind of don't want to leave this review because it's a tiny restaurant and I don't want there to be a wait but they genuinely deserve all the hype. Soooooooo good. Def try it. Also, I have no photos because I went straight into eating.

The kids loved this so much we needed up having to order two. 2) garlic salmon - 4/5. Served over a bed of veggies. This one was à la cart so we had to order a side of rice.
