Which is to be expected from time to time. Old favorites leaving and new explorations showing up. I was a particular fan of the fried dumplings and broccoli and beef items. Both of which are now gone The dumplings they now serve just do not replace the exciting flavors of the old. The new being bland and nothing to write home about. The basil fried rice was also changed. Dry and bland, lacking the excitements of flavor it once had. The customer service is as good as always. But with the current change i am not as thrilled with the loss of their exclusive flavors which once permeated the food.

The pizza itself is pretty good, with a thin crust (something I appreciate for a buffet so you get to enjoy more without filling up on bread.) Unless they're really busy, they usually ask me if there's a specific kind of pizza I'd like to see on the buffet, and they will make that. I like seeing the unique combinations that show up like jalapeño and pineapple, or the strong selection of dessert pizzas like strawberry cream or apple pie. For reasonable pricing, a modest selection, good to above average quality, and friendly staff, you can't go wrong. I've had better pizza, and I've been to better buffets, but they're hard to come by. I wish Sixty Seven was closer to home because honestly I would be a weekly regular if it was down the street.

It's wonderful to see how this historic landmark building in downtown Elkin has been so beautifully preserved. The lobby of the old theater is the location of the cafe. You place your order at the bar and it's delivered to your table once it's ready. The lady working at the bar was very nice and helpful. Although the cafe was pretty busy we didn't have to wait long for our order to arrive. They offer a nice selection of sandwiches and sides. The soup of the day was pepperoni pizza soup...didn't give that one a try but it sounded intriguing. The bread used to make the sandwiches was better than most restaurants and the quality of the food was excellent. They have regular events with live performances each week inside the theater. We were not told about this by our friendly waitress, but happened to see it on the bill so did not want to leave her more money. It is a beautiful venue.
