Bao Bao tray, pork fried rice, fried crab, sweet & sour pork, General Tso chicken
    Perfect A.

The China Chef by the old BiLo (now Food Lion) used to be my go-to for takeout since they were so convenient. The food was fine but I haven't ordered in a long time (2019?). I reaaallly wanted Chinese for my bday so I got all my old faves delivered: the Bao Bao tray, cheese Rangoon, sweet/sour pork, and pork fried rice. Hubby got General Tso chicken. I'm very happy to say that not only was the food quick to arrive and hot, it still tasted good. The shrimp toast was a little burnt but still tasty. The beef stick had a yummy curry-like seasoning in it that I liked. The fried crab was really good but The pork fried rice was especially so- whatever they did to it tonight was *chef kiss. Everything else was decent. I'll definitely keep this local biz on my list for the next time I'm craving yummy Chinese!

China Chef on Saint James Avenue in Goose Creek is a great place to go for delicious and fresh Chinese food and more. I really like the menu and everything that they have available here. I have enjoyed all of the orders that I have made from here.

a large staple in my wife's map tofu

I called China Chef last night to inform them that there was a large staple in my wife's food. I was told that the manager would call me back as soon as possible. 40 minutes later, without receiving a phone call, I called back and talked to manager Linda. I told her that I would just like a refund on the mapo tofu. She told me I *had to bring the food back* in order to get a refund. I offered to send the picture attached here, but that wasn't good enough. Again, this was 40 minutes after I called them. My wife had picked around THE STAPLE before throwing it away. This was completely unacceptable and frankly disgusting. We have ordered from this location before, and customer loyalty was never even considered. We will not be dining here again. ALL YOU HAD TO DO WAS REFUND 1 ITEM.

The food was "ok" the prices were crazily outrageous. Sesame Chicken combo and Broccoli Chicken combo was $36. I will not be returning.

I order the pepper steak when I visit. It's not like they're using filet mignon. My last visit, I ordered double pepper steak as part of the combination plate. I've never felt so blatantly disrespected at a restaurant. They tried to have me pay $16.95 for what looked like a kid's sample plate-- it was that bad. The owner then slaps (I'm SERIOUS) the plate back on my table yelling, "OKAY, You can pay $14.00"..what the heck? You disrespect me and still want me to pay anything for this? You lost you mind. I was served maybe ONE OUNCE of chicken breast. Not a full meal -- not even close. Just a few sad slivers of onion and about half a cup of rice. For nearly $17. This wasn't some gourmet presentation either -- it looked like something thrown together at a soup kitchen. It was downright insulting. When I brought it up, calmly and respectfully, the owner snapped at me, saying, "DID YOU EVEN LOOK AT THE MENU?" Your menu should have said, food that looks like overpriced and basic. Excuse me? I didn't raise my voice, I didn't curse -- and that's the response I get? After I said I wasn't going to pay $16 for three bites of food, they started gossiping about me to other customers, giving me nasty looks, and rambling about being "in business for 20 years" as if that justifies their attitude and garbage portions. I'm sorry, but being in business for 20 years doesn't give you a license to treat people like trash or serve meals that wouldn't satisfy a toddler. Their arrogance is unbelievable. DO NOT EAT HERE. You'll walk away feeling ripped off, disrespected, and hungry. The owners clearly don't care about their customers anymore -- if they ever did. I paid cash for our lumpia and our sweet teas and left right after our interaction. I won't walk out on a bill but I wont ever be taken advantage of. These people were effing nasty. And if they are reading this -- yes, I'm talking to YOU TWO the owners -- maybe take a long, hard look in the mirror. Your behavior is disgraceful, and your food is embarrassing. Either drastically change the way you treat your paying customers, or do us all a favor and RETIRE - your washed up.

I dined in, but it's clear that this is primarily a takeout spot. There was some clutter at the rear of the dining area, and my party was the only one dining in the entire time we were inside. Several people came in to grab takeout orders, though. Overall, this feels like a great local spot for flavorful and fresh Chinese food, but if you choose to dine in, the vibe might be slightly off. Perhaps some music in the dining area would help temper the atmosphere. Even still, I would come back again.

It was absolutely the worst honey chicken wings I have ever had. The honey chicken wings were undercooked, soggy and swimming in an unrecognizable sauce. The regular chicken wings were bland and greasy. I had placed the order via phone. I was told my order would be ready in 15 minutes. It took me 20 minutes to arrive at the restaurant. My coworker went in to pay and retrieve the order. Only to be told the order wasn't ready, it will be a few more minutes. Ten minutes later, the order was ready, however undercooked. My co-worker expressed that the inside of the establishment is out of date and needs improvement. Save your money or spend it elsewhere for a better experience.

They have a large bar, a few bar tables, and lots of tables in 2 rooms. The service here is so friendly, from the greet at the door to the servers who took our order and delivered our different foods, they were always so positive and seemed to like working here. The food here is one that does change at times. Check out their menu online to be ready, and you do have to order all at once. They have a nice cocktail menu so be sure to check that out. We enjoyed a multitude of dishes on each visit, making sure to try different things on each visit. A few favorites we have enjoyed include the crab omelette, shrimp wontons, and the karaage chicken is a must order. We were blown away with the karaage chicken, it was tender, juicy, and the crunch was perfect. I also ordered the Sichuan hot karaage chicken and the spice level was just right. It is great having Jackrabbit Filly in Park Circle, it adds so much to the neighborhood and should be on everyone's list to visit. We will be back and recommend it to all.
