    Long Island iced tea

We came here for dinner on a Friday night. There were plenty of seats open. Its spacious. We were sat down quickly but had to wait for someone to give us menus. The owners were friendly and checked on us a few times. I ordered a few maki and enjoyed them both. They were fresh. I recommend the before 3 pm special posted as it is 3 rolls with soup for 13.99. I'll definitely come back for that. My husband had the moo shu shrimp and it was very delicious. I highly recommend. We both had cocktails and they were made well.

I moved to Oak Park about 6 months ago and this has been the place I always go back to. I ordered to have it ready at a specific time but was going to be there sooner than I expected. So I called and they were able to have it ready in 10 minutes! They also have dinner specials which I just discovered that come with an egg roll and egg drop soup. This food is seriously so good, coming from an avid Chinese food eater haha

    Chicken Fried Rice

Very good Chicken Fried Rice. The pieces of chicken were very lean and the rice flavor was delicious. Portion size is huge - I will have leftovers for a fews days! The service is quick. I called the order in and it was ready in moments. Next time I will eat in the restaurant because it is a beautiful space. Great amount of tables and the art & decorations are very pretty.

    Hamachi very good

This is the best chinese/ pan asian place we have had in western suburbs so far. We are a household native to east asia, btw. For takeout we tested their versatility: hamachi and spicy tuna sushi rolls, pad see Eiw, pad that, garlic eggplant, string beans w malaysian sauce and a mango smoothie for the kid. The sushi was first rate! We were surprised to think this is a new go to for that! We go to 312 sushi in chinatown for similar value/ quality. The thai noodle dishes were in line with other thai places to american taste, well executed. The eggplant was very fresh perfectly cooked, same for the green beans. This place is new but already one of the area's best.

General Tso's Chicken is an enormous portion of yumminess!

General Tso comes with egg drop soup. Friendly service with a smile. The restaurant is beautiful, but we were the only people there. Stacks and stacks of take out orders moved through while we were there.

The lunch special is massive! The food is tasty, it's cheap. This isn't Chinatown but is dependable and always fun.

    Kung poa chicken, fried rice

Food is always amazing and the staff are always friendly. I drive over an hour drive one way. Well worth it!

I love the basil or mint that in there. The dipping sauce compliments the rolls. Onto my next app, I got a small tom kha soup, with shrimp! Also refreshing and comforting. I've never experienced the flavors in this soup until THIS SOUP. it does have coconut milk (which might sound a bit weird ... but trust me) it blends heavenly w the all the flavors in it. I got one sushi roll thinking it was gonna be 4-6 pieces of sushi... it was more like 14-16 pieces of sushi! But I have a big appetite anyway. The roll I got and recommend Is called HOLY COW. And honestly, that was my reaction when I saw how big it was haha. The ambience is very cozy and quiet. I'm here early and most ppl are at work. The service is phenomenal they went above and beyond for me and my pup and the food recommendations were exquisite. I got a jasmine tea to warm and digest after the big meal I had. I got a Long Island ice tea! And coconut pudding with taro!! OMG the dessert was delicious ! I did not know what to expect. I loved the flavor and texture.(there's no picture because I ate it before I could take one.) I'll def be coming back !!

Waitress was very attentive since it wasn't too busy. Ordered pad Thai, red curry, tum yum soup, papaya salad, and a few rolls. Everything came out relatively quick! Flavors were great, wish the papaya salad was spicier though. Their Thai tea has too much cream/H&H where it masks the tea flavor

It's also very clean in the bathroom and it's well decorated. There's so much culture with Thai artwork here. And the food is very good and the portions are great as well. They don't charge you for rice, which is a plus because some restaurants charge you for rice. Parking is on the street. I also appreciate that the music is played low and not so loud so that you can't hear your friends talking with you or you can't hear yourself and your ears don't hurt.

Making it so bad we won't be going back. I'll say, the food quality has been good. The service has been about the same since day one. Those aren't the problem. The problem are: - The food has doubled and tripled in the past few years! We know this because we've been regulars the whole time. We always save our menus and replace them every couple years. - The food portions have shrunk. You use to be able to eat off orders, like basil chicken or pad see ew. Same with the appetizers. The crab rangoon's are hardly filled anymore and tiny. Not sure what's going on, but until they change things we won't be back. Yes, we understand inflation, but these changes are not in line with standards.

It took me some time to visit, but I was bound to check it out eventually since it is within a short radius of the hospital where I work. Looking through the menu, I took an interest in the pineapple fried rice, mango fried rice, grilled salmon, and pad thai. Curiosity led me to the crab fried rice, which also caught my interest because of its unique appearance on the Uber Eats menu. Ultimately, I ended up ordering the pad thai with sautéed shrimp, which appealed to me as an alternative. Whether using Grubhub or Uber Eats, I love ordering online because of the convenience. Most of the time, my orders are completed or nearly completed upon my arrival. By the time I arrived onsite, my order was already waiting behind the counter. Picking it up simply meant confirming my name and order, and I was well on my way. I was very fortunate to find a parking spot right outside the storefront on Madison St. It uses a pay-by-plate system, which requires you to pay either at the pay box or via the ParkOakPark App. Honestly, it is much easier to just use the pay box sitting right outside, but that's just me. Nicely presented in sustainable packaging, I wasted no time digging into the pad thai after snapping pictures of it to share on Yelp. It tasted fresh and featured a satisfying portion size of stir-fried flat rice noodles mixed with shrimp, scrambled eggs, fresh bean sprouts, sliced green onions, a wedge of lime, and finely shredded carrots on top. My very first forkful of the rice noodle stir-fry while in my kitchen was absolutely delicious. In between each bite, I swear my mouth was salivating for more, which felt like a delightful tease. With each forkful, I found myself swirling extra noodles and toppings onto my fork as my taste buds yearned for the flavors. Oh my, yes! My taste buds will surely crave the pad thai at Mama Thai's again. If you've stumbled upon my review and are open to trying new dishes on the menu, I highly recommend the pad thai! Need I say that I enjoyed my meal? I clearly indicated it in my initial review of Mama Thai. Now that we are no longer strangers, I am very open to visiting again, especially since it is within a short radius of the hospital where I work. With that said, I gladly share my endorsement with you all on Yelp. Service: 5 | Ambiance: 4 | Food: 5 | Overall rating: 5 ~ Mindfulness & Growth. ~ Thomas G
