Thank you for being open on Christmas! My family started a new tradition today. Food was ready in about 20 minutes which was great. I ordered the shrimp and broccoli. There were only 5 shrimp in the dish. Otherwise, I appreciate that it wasn't loaded down with sauce and had a good taste. Just needed more shrimp. The fried rice was great too. The bourbon chicken was yummy but could have used a little more flavoring. Eggroll had great flavor! Crab Rangoon was just ok. Definitely missing something. Overall I would go back! I thought I would try this business again. It's been probably four years since I was in there. It wasn't a good experience then. So I tried it again tonight. That wasn't a good idea either. The food was basically tasteless. Sesame chicken which were mostly some kind of a fatty substance inside of a ball. Processed. Ordered via phone. Lady confirmed ordered items and said will be ready in 20 minutes. Drove to location and sure enough all my items were packed and ready. I double checked before leaving and all was in order plus extra item. Told counter person that I had not ordered dumplings and she said owner wants new customers to try out dumplings. This is very bad food. Ordered a lunch special of k p chicken and an egg roll. The chicken (if that's what is was) came incased in a batter that was a mess, very gooey and either fried or cooked stove top until it was firm but not crispy. Honestly I don't believe they make it with chicken because when breaking the piece open I could find nothing there but something like perhaps a minced protein of some sort. After tasting the bland rice (yellow coloring) I decided to give up on attempting to eat any of it. I guess by weight it's a value because, whatever it was... the lunch portion that I tossed in the trash outside the store was about 2 pounds of something. I've been looking for a good Chinese restaurant and decided to give China Dragon a try. I ordered the pepper steak meal for dinner. I would give it 3 stars. Welllll someone recommended this place. I will not reveal their identity. In a word. SUCKS....... This has to be the worst Chinese food that I have ever eaten. It cheap that the only good thing about.it. I was there on a Monday at 1155 am. only 2 customers . I got kung pao chicken add extra hot pepper. and szechuan shrimp. A side of spring rolls. It took 30 minutes for my order. . The rolls were cooked but hat a plastic after taste. The chicken was neither KUNG or PAO. No peanuts no hot peppers. just Plain nasty food. The shrimp though good size was just terrible too.. This is the only restaurant in the area thats close by a school and medical facility.. Been coming here for years, and they are consistently solid. I always get the General Tso's, which has far more flavor than most other places and the chicken tastes much fresher. The rice is also very good. My wife usually gets something else, which I will occasionally try and it's ok. They're always quick to have take-out ready. My only gripe would be that they do not offer delivery, but it is worth the short drive if your hungry. read more

The fried rice was mediocre and the General Tso's chicken was some unidentified meat that was absolutely disgusting even more so when I cut it in half. I'm not even sure it was real chicken. I cannot find a Chinese food restaurant that compares to China Dragon. The joint is always clean, staff courteous and fast as all get out. The meat is white and pure (for chicken) and portions are always perfect. A must go. This place is one of only five that I keep in my phone's address book. Not good but fast! It's salty and not flavorful and stingy on the meat. But it's cheap and fast, if that's all you want.

First off it took about 20 min to get my food due to the lunch rush but I can understand that. Since they were in such a rush my chicken did not seem cooked throughly and the cabbage in my egg roll was not done all the way either. Rice was pretty bland. Wouldn't recommend to anyone read more

I order two lunch specials.the lady behind the counter abruptly told me lunch specials were over. I missed it by 7 minutes!!! I asked??? Yes, 3pm.! She then asked me what I wanted.I posted, and replied, "I want to go to another restaurant". She said thank you. We have been going to Tim's Magic Wok for some time. The food is great. I have been having a really hard time finding Chinese food in this area. I saw the reviews for China Dragon and was excited to try it. Please understand, I am not a Chinese food snob. The food doesn't have to be authentic or even consistent with anything I've had before under the same name, because I am not sure I've ever had amazing Chinese food, only amazing food sold to me under that label. Anyway, this was not the answer to my search. We ordered Wonton Soup, Boneless Spareribs, Chicken with mixed vegetables, egg roll, and crab Rangoon. The soup and egg roll were not awful. Everything seemed incredibly bland, but, in a pinch, the soup and egg roll are palatable. The chicken in the mixed vegetable dish was excessively gristly, as was the pork in the boneless spare ribs. The vegetables in the chicken dish were definitely the highlight. They were fresh and cooked tender crisp. The mushrooms were not canned. The crab Rangoon, however was a dense chunk of cream cheese fried in a wonton. Dense, as in, sliced right off the block, not even stirred, let alone mixed with any spices or other ingredients. We couldn't even eat it. I will say the prices were good and the service was friendly and quick. We will not be returning. read more

I can't even give this place one star but I can't post unless I give one. We ordered General Tso's chicken, beef with orange flavor, crab wonton and hot and sour soup. When we got home we ended up throwing everything out. The beef was some kind of deep fried dog food with a fishy flavor. Normally this dish is prepared with sliced flank steak, these were made with a rolled up deep fried mash. The chicken was a mixture of fatty dark meat with a little white thrown in. Flavor was a bit better than the beef but the coating was mushy. The crab wonton had no crab, real or fake. Lastly the soup could best be described as egg drop soup mixed with chicken vegetable then sprinkled with the red pepper. Even with the pepper very little flavor. First Chinese restaurant, sit down or take out, that I've been to where nothing tasted like Chinese food. Save your time and money, go for Italian instead. read more

We had gone here many years ago and weren't too impressed. We tried China Dragon again last night and were pleasantly surprised. The fried rice, lo mein, chicken and broccoli was flavorful and the portions very generous. We also had BBQ spare ribs, which were ok, but they were too big, and had a bit of fat on them. Huge portions and very quick lunch service. Popped in today for some to-go food, and I have enough for 4 meals easily. The prices are low, and the staff is friendly. The food is average for Ft Myers Chinese. You get what you pay for quality wise, but the price and service speed is spot on. read more
