We just finished eating dinner at this spot and I had high expectations but left very unsatisfied. We ordered the Shanghai dumplings, sesame balls, general Tso's chicken and the XO noodles. You could tell the dumplings were frozen and they were just heated up, the sesame balls we're undercooked. The chicken was okay, a little too sweet to the point where it just reminded me of orange chicken and the noodles had barely any sauce? The service was barely okay. If the food is going to be okay, let the customer service be good or at least decent. After they took our order, no one came to check on us. We were waiting for someone to stop by so we could ask for chopsticks but they never did so my boyfriend just got up to get it himself. We won't be coming back and unfortunately do not recommend this place to anyone.

Dim Sum King still hold the the spot for our favorite dim sum in the area. We've tried a few places and keep coming back. They have a wide variety of dim sum options, with most being available all day. This is great for anyone unable to come during more trading dim sum hours. On the weekends, they offer roasted duck. I use to not be much of a duck fan but having tried theirs, I have since converted. If you are in the area and are looking to try some delicious dim sum, this is definitely the stop to make!

Drove from Naples for dim sum based in yelp reviews. Place was small, but in a nice strip mall with its own parking. Seated immediately with laminated menu for marking up your order. After marking up the two menus, the dishes started appearing one at a time when ready. All were hot and fresh and tasted pretty authentic, at least per our experience in NYC Chinatown and Boston Chinatown Dim Sum houses. Only downside was the jasmine rice, which was a bit crunchy due to reheating or sitting in rice cooker too long. Staff were attentive and added water and tea upon request. Place was clean and full. Would go again if in area.

There was a roach in my water. Informed the waitress about my concern, she didn't really seem to care. She mentioned they "have that problem all the time and they just payed pest control $400 to get ride of them so it's weird that I had one in my cup." I was shocked by the response. Then proceeded to charge me and brush it off. Didn't apologize, nor ask me for a new water or anything. Will definitely not be coming back.

Love this place! Every dish is a winner, especially the sesame chicken and beef with broccoli! Great service and a cozy, comfortable, family atmosphere. Going to be our new go-to dim sum spot.

This was our first visit to Dim Sum King. It is very convenient when you want to eat before going to Hertz Arena or if you are shopping at in the Gulf Coast area. When you walk in, it is not clear if you are to seat yourself or wait to be seated. We stood there for several minutes before anybody acknowledged us. Then after we were seated, it was a good 10 minutes before we were waited on. It is a bit strange that none of the servers look your way. Once we ordered, our food came out pretty quickly, except a dish at a time, which was a bit odd. It wasn't just our table either. It is like they deliver individual orders when they are ready. The food itself tasted fresh and good, so because of that, we would try them again. The ambiance was typical Asian dining room. It was clean and simple.

We were looking for a lunch spot before our flight at Ft. Meyers Airport, and this looked convenient and quick. We found the service to be quick and food came from the kitchen quickly. We sampled a variety of small Dim Sum plates and enjoyed them all. Oddly, one of the weakest dishes was the pan fried dumplings, usually a hit at Dim Sum. Don't miss the pineapple custard buns for a sweet finish. As others pointed out, the price of some dishes seems high. Some of the soups were $15-$17, perhaps they serve more than one? Note that you order Dim Sum off of a menu, they do not have carts roaming the restaurant. You can also order more traditional Cantonese options along with Dim Sum. Overall a delicious lunch!

They will make it. I know it's good when I walk in and see lots of Asians ! Clean, spacious. Lots of parking. Great location, in a small strip mall facing the large older Town center Lots of seating, booths, tables , comfy atmosphere Menu is clear and easy to read with Dim Sum pictures No language barriers here Online orders are more $$$ Glad I ordered in person. They have 2 websites so it got confusing trying to order This is one of 2 restaurants They have all your favorite dim sum, not cheap but what is anymore? Near airport, seems more Estero than ft Myers Icing on the cake is they use mostly recyclable packaging

My daughter had suggested Dim Sum King and we went during lunch. We ordered a variety of dishes from their reusable Dim Sum menu, which I found very clever. The service was excellent and the food was not the best I have had but it was very good. I will return and try more off their menu. They also have a regular menu for those who like the more traditional Chinese cuisine

I've been struggling to find good Chinese food in the area, and the search is over!! Dim Sum King fulfilled my craving. Coming from NYC, I'm used to authentic and delicious Chinese food so moving here was a struggle when I didn't have access to it. Then, I discovered this authentic and delicious restaurant. Highly recommend the House Chow Fun. The noodles were cooked to perfection and so flavorful and there was a generous amount of beef, pork, and shrimp in it. It's a must order! Also, the honey walnut shrimp were SPECTACULAR. The shrimp were plump, sauce was sweet and creamy, broccoli nice and firm, and the walnuts added great texture. We also got har gow (shrimp dumplings) and they were so squishy and yummy. I dipped them in soy sauce which was delicious, but think it could be elevated if served with a specialty sweet sauce. We also got the shrimp toast which I will skip next time. Not bad, just didn't wow me like everything else. We will certainly be back! I also want to add that the service was great! The staff was very attentive and answered our questions and checked in on us. They were so sweet. It was a delightful dining experience and I highly recommend you try this restaurant!

Makes sense why there in a shitty plaza disguising the inside as some fancy BS. When we walked in, none of the three employees AT THE FRONT greeted or acknowledged us. After standing there for a moment, I finally said, "oh Hello" in such a normal polite tone. No sass or sarcasm, hoping someone would respond. No one did, we picked up a paper menu ourselves to look prior to deciding to stay. I asked a question about one of the menu items. The employee immediately got so noticeably upset and irritated to the point of correcting me with such sassy attitude saying that they are Chinese cuisine, not Japanese. First off, go shove that up your a**. Second,I didn't even fucking know that what I was asking for was Japanese, I rarely eat this shit. So, simple mistake. Maybe learn that it's okay for people to not know. Third, the restaurant is called "Ginger Bistro," that says nothing. Mentions nothing that made the cuisine immediately obvious to us that it was fucking Chinese, dumba**. Despite the uncomfortable start, my husband suggested we give the food a chance. We ended up ASKING to be seated without anyone speaking to us because we agreed to stay out loud. We ended up getting walked and seated. When our server arrived, there was no greeting or introduction--she simply just spawned after a while of sitting and just asked what we wanted to drink. No hello, hi, my names blank how are you etc etc. just "what do you want to drink" We end up ordering the passion fruit ginger ale and the pomegranate ginger ale drink. Since it had taken a while for someone to come to our table, we asked if we could place our entire order at that time. She acknowledged us briefly and walked away. When the drinks arrived, we noticed they contained turmeric, which was never mentioned on the menu or by our server. That seems like important information, especially since some people may have allergies or dietary restrictions. Unfortunately, neither drink was to our taste. After only a couple of sips, I politely asked if we could replace them with cokes. Our server gave us a stankkkkk a** face, walked away after listening and brought the Cokes, and walked away without saying anything. The restaurant serves only bottled beverages rather than refillable fountain drinks. It was clear from both our table and the restaurant's cameras if they wanna go look, that we barely touched the original drinks before requesting replacements. Throughout the rest of our meal, our server never checked on us to see how everything was or whether we needed anything. The food itself was very good. However, the service was consistently so fucking rude. From the moment we walked in until the moment we left absolutely shitty service. Even the people sitting next to us seemed to be having an unpleasant time as well. My husband and I remained polite and respectful throughout our visit, so we were genuinely confused by the attitude we received. To make matters worse, when the bill arrived, we had been charged for all four drink, the two original drinks we only took 2 sips on. One from the bottle and the second in the glass to see if the ice can help water the flavor down. We got charged for the two Cokes we ordered afterward and the other 2. That was just fucking stupid. Go check your damn cameras, you simply don't do that. Good, understandable service you don't do that. Fuck them, fuck you I hope you see this. The overall experience, 0.5/10, and we will not be returning. There are plenty of restaurants that offer great food along with welcoming and respectful service.

The restaurant has a large menu featuring different ramen (dry or w/ soup) and rice dishes, as well as appetizers. I tried their steamed vegetable dumplings and the pork ribs dry ramen. Both dishes were fantsastic. It was the first time that I had dumplings filled with endamame+minced garlic. It was savory and slightly sweet. The meat in the ramen was fork-tender and full of umami; the ramen was chewy; and it was served with a wide variety of fresh vegetables (zucchin, broccoli, carrot, onions, green onions, corn, microgreens, pickled ginger). The ramen was ~5oz. PS: the noodles are salty -- ramens are meant to be salty. Service was awesome. Several things that my server impressed me: 1. He asked me about my food allergies -- important for seafood-dense restaurants like a Japanese restaurant. 2. I asked for some extra ramen when I just got the entree. He suggested to bring me the extra when I almost finish the ramen in my entree. Surprisingly, he brought a small bowl of ramen exactly when I was about to finish it -- very precise and customer-oriented. 3. Food was served in a reasonable amount of time. 4. When he was taking the order of another table, he gave recommendations to the customers based on their dietary preferences, instead of blindly mentioning the "signature dishes" like most servers do. Moreover, when the customers ordered food, he squat down to listen what they said carefully. So, yes, I speak highly of this restaurant. Definitely recommend it. And I will dine in it again next time I visit Naples.

One of our neighbors used to live in the area and recommended anything in Tin City for lunch. We walked to Tin City from the free parking structure just off 5th Avenue and, while we found the area mildly interesting, we didn't like any of the typical joints along the water. Besides, having eaten at Dockside in Venice the day prior, we were looking for something other than seafood. In looking at Yelp, we were intrigued by Ichi Togarishi so we walked back towards 5th Avenue. Located just off 5th Avenue, this small place would be quite easy to miss. Upon entering, we realized how snug this place was. We were seated promptly and presented the menu. My wife ordered the Chicken Veggie Shoyu Soy Ginger and I had the Chashu Belly Garlic Noodle. We both liked our dishes, with complex, bold flavors. The Chashu belly was tender with sweetness and soy flavor shining thru. Its flavor profile reminded me of Pad Thai. A very nice find in Naples!

We know this, and are therefore VERY careful about what we consume. We also tell our server up front as well. So, as soon as we sat down to eat, I began explaining to the server that we have some odd allergies. I cannot eat anything with turmeric, shellfish or tree nuts. My daughter has a tree nut allergy. Our server was very attentive and wrote down all my allergies to confirm with the chef. He came back and told me almost every dish has oyster sauce, so my only option was sweet and sour chicken and plain, steamed white rice. I understand that when going to an Asian restaurant that I often have few options. I'm not complaining about not having more than one option though I hope in the future they figure out how to make some dishes without oyster sauce. I'm also aware that many dishes have tree nuts, and so no complaints that I only had the one option. Our meals came out, and I began to eat my sweet and sour chicken. I noticed immediately that it was a weird texture. And then the flavor hit--it was shrimp. I began to spit it out of my mouth and immediately grabbed Benadryl. Thankfully up to this point with my allergies, I've not had to use an epi pen. The Benadryl has worked, BUT....if you have allergies, you know that each additional exposure adds to your body's histamine response. I always start with Benadryl and then have epi pens on hand as well. We brought the issue to the attention of the server. He was very apologetic and brought me a new plate of what I actually ordered. The server then didn't come back to our table until we were almost finished. There wasn't a manager or a chef that came to check on me. My father in law had to ask for the meal to be taken off the bill. Then they brought out two orders of donut holes as a consolation. As he set them down, he said, "These are not for either of you, they have nuts." So all of this to say that this restaurant is NOT allergy friendly. The ambiance was fine--clean and nice decor. There are a lot of people with allergies. If you are running a restaurant, expect to have questions about different food ingredients, and by all means, pay attention to what you're cooking and sending out to the dining room. I'm just thankful the Benadryl seems to have worked, but it could have ended very differently. We will not be back.
