I got out of a movie on Christmas day just before 7pm and looked online for a Chinese restaurant that I could order takeout from. China Dragon was open and still accepting orders (though they said it was a 50 minutes wait), so I placed one for pickup. My order included beef lo mein, chicken egg rolls, and chicken teriyaki sticks. The egg rolls were gross. At one point I bit into something hard, but it was dark in the car so I couldn't tell exactly what it was (might have been a bone from the chicken?). They were greasy, heavy on the cabbage, and not much else flavor wise other than the occasional piece of chicken. I wouldn't want these again. The lo mein wasn't much better. Super oily sauce that was loaded with enough garlic to take out a vampire a mile away and the beef was low quality in my opinion. Like the egg rolls, I wouldn't want this again. I don't know what specific menu item I received instead of the chicken teriyaki sticks, but it certainly isn't what I ordered. The sauce had some heat due to the large amount of red pepper flakes and there were onions, green peppers, and broccoli mixed in with a container of white rice on the side. The chicken itself was breaded, similar to General Tso's, but this clearly wasn't General Tso's. I was already back home by the time I discovered their mistake and didn't feel like driving back to New Berlin, so I ate what I could. We have been ordering from China Dragon for 7 years. Their food has always been excellent and well prepared. They always send the right amount of sauces for individual taste with their food. Their "combination fried rice is to die for. My personal favorite dish is "Combination Egg-Foo Young!" Egg rolls are always full and Pot stickers are terrific. I would give ZERO stars if I could. This restaurant stole $60 from me and is refusing to refund me! I NEVER got my food order and they charged my credit card TWICE!! I ordered food to be delivered on 3/7/25. I ordered a spicy three way scallops with shrimp and requested 4 out of 5 spicy. I was delivered scallops with white sauce no spice so I called and requested what I ordered to be delivered or provide me a refund. The restaurant offered to reimburse me $10 I again stated I was not delivered what I ordered and want a resolution. I asked if I needed to return my food and told yes. I drove to the restaurant to return my food and although it was during operating hours and the sign said open, the door was locked. So i called and no one answered. I left the food at the front door and took a photo and continued to call until someone answered. I stated I left my food I would like my card to be refunded. I was told that is not possible but I could come back and br refunded in cash. I said I already came back and you locked the door. I asked again for them to make the food I ordered and paid for and was told by the owner Sue I could have it delivered the following day. I was told they opened at 3:30. I called 3 times between 3:30 and 4pm and no one answeed the phone!!! Then I checked my credit card and found they charged me TWICE for food I did not receive! I called again and let the phone ring until someone answered and of course the owner was not available...I waa told I could come and pick up my food...even though I paid for delivery and tip already and was charged twice for food I never got!! I said no thank you and requested a call back from the owner, big surprise still no call....at this point I am going to rely on my credit card company and the BBB to get my money back. read more

I've ordered from here before and sometimes it's good and sometimes it's not the best. This time however it was very good. The potstickers were fried perfectly. They were not greasy or dry and had a nice crisp on the outside and a good combination of flavors on the inside. I really enjoyed them. I also ordered egg rolls which were okay. Nothing special but edible whereas sometimes in the past they weren't. I can't complain about them but cannot rave about them either. The shoring fried rice was very good. It had a generous portion of shrimp and it tasted freshly made without a heavy salt taste. I enjoyed this as well it was the highlight of the meal. We got the crab rangoon's, chicken lo mein, and sweet and sour chicken combo platter. The crab rangoon's tasted super bad. The filling was dry and the dough tasted old and greasy, like the oil hasn't been changed in a hot minute. The chicken in the lo mein was really good, but the rest wasn't. The noodle had a cardboard after taste, which was odd. The fried rice was VERY dark and just tasted like soy sauce. The chicken lacked crispness and the egg roll was the name as the crab rangoon's. I was in the mood for a Chinese lunch combo so I drove over for lunch. The place is over the top with Asian decoration inside and out with two dining rooms separated by a small but nice little bar. I saw the sign on the front door, lunch buffet $8.95 and thought I might just try a buffet even though I don't do buffets because anything I order will be that much. NOPE the lunch buffet is not open today I was told so now I'm back to the lunch combo, NOPE they decided that that's off the menu as well, I can understand lunch buffet but yanking parts of the advertised menu is petty. I asked about the 50% off on a second entrie Yelp check in coupon and the don't honor that either so now I'm thinking taht this is a shady restaurant. Now I can't wait to order the Mongolian beef and see what they say to that, surprise she took my order. The Mongolian Beef looked good but was completely mediocre which was heavy on the veggies and light on the beef compared to other restaurants. The veggies were cooked good with some crunch left in them. The beef was tender but but all you could taste was all the onions. Overall this place was a swing and a miss and I'm disappointed that they didn't honor three advertised things and abruptly removing the lunch specials at lunch time so the customers have to spend more money buying lager portions and separate appetizers is not a good business practice. Forcing the customers to buy larger portions than they want is crap, I wanted a lunch size meal from the lunch menu and not a large dinner portion, yah I couldn have walked but I was already there and will not be back. read more

Bad!!!! We had a terrible experience here. While waiting for our takeout, there were a little bugs flying around. That should've been our first sign. We should've just got up and left. We waited for our takeout took it home a few things and both of us got sick shortly after eating. He called the establishment. The lady we spoke to is very rude to us. The food is gross and WAY overpriced. The egg rolls were barely edible. My wife wanted fried rice instead of white rice with her already overpriced entree, and it was an EXTRA $4. Then it came out and was nasty and it looked nothing like any fried rice we'd ever seen in our lives. It was literally gray in color and we couldn't even figure out what was in it. Their food was already expensive, but they told us that the prices were higher than the menu showed and instead of printing new menus they just put a sticker on it saying the prices are actually higher. Came here with a few picky kids. The meals are not very American-child friendly. If you want individualized meals for each child, you'll get an extra large portion. I do applaud the effort though. It seemed like the waitress did not understand our demands, but she came through with our picky order and everything looked great. Stopped in for lunch today and should have instantly walked out. They have one person working the front of the restaurant and she seemed very annoyed that we were there to eat. We asked for menus and she told us the buffet was much better so we tried it. Everything on the buffet was cold and old and it is 12:30pm on a Friday. There a quite a few people here but they seemed more concerned with their call in orders than the people waiting for food in the restaurant. Not to be a Negative Nancy, but I was quite disappointed. The Curry Chicken was an odd color, no flavor and all "juice" and a few veggies that didn't even seem to belong. It was mostly all cabbage! I went here just recently and even though I am not sure the name of the dishes. The first one I ordered was a variety of seasoned sea food sort of a cantonese tempura. Fresh seafood how can you go wrong? The other dish that we ordered was a noodle dish with beef. Also very satisfying. I would recommend if you go here order a couple dishes you will enjoy and grab a few beers. They also have karaoke on certain nights. We've tried just about every chinese restaurant in Waukesha with no success so we moved on to New Berlin. Took a chance here even though some reviews were a little alarming. Let me assure the people who said they threw away their 35.00 meal were right. Nothing tasted remotely how it should have tasted. The review that said they put cinnamon in their egg rolls is spot on. The General Tso's chicken was rubbery and flavorless. My husband who will usually eat bad Chinese food immediately stopped eating it. Lo Mein was greasy and tasteless. Got some take-out here, two orders of sweet and sour chicken, which was different from other places. The chicken seemed more like real chicken, instead of processed, and the sauce was lighter, less sweet, more tangy, and less red than most Chinese places. It was good! A ton of food, although a dinner for take-out for one person was $8, which was a little pricey as it didn't include anything but the chicken, sauce, and one container of rice between two people. Other places I've been have given me a container of rice for each person, plus a rangoon or an eggroll along with the chicken for the same price or less. But the service was great - I walked in, and was helped right away, they brought the food up front pretty quickly (in under 15 minutes, so I waited). They even brought it out to my car. Nice! Lunch buffet was priced at $10.95 + $1.95 for a soda without refills. I looked at the buffet and decided against it. It didn't look fresh. So, ordered the sweet and sour combination that came with hot n sour soup, which was gross, sweet and sour chicken, fried rice and an egg roll. My cousin ordered the General Tso Chicken. She got white rice, the chicken and en egg roll. My fried rice was nasty! It tasted like an ash tray! The egg roll was bland and gummy. The soup was disgusting. My cousins chicken tasted off, almost spoiled. And she did not like the egg roll. My SS chicken was good and she said her white rice was good. I mentioned the fried rice to the server and she said something about a big wok and both burners or something. She offered to bring me some from the buffet, I declined. Great variety. Freshest quality of food- everything is made fresh and daily. Delivery distance is very convenient for businesses (charges are automatically calculated by mileage). The lunch menu and buffet are a superb deal. Meals are big for the money's worth. Both "American" Chinese & authentic Chinese dishes are offered. If you like white meat, try the sesame/general tso chicken. Otherwise the staff is always willing to advise on ingredients used in each dish to help you pick out the one you want! A little more expensive than your average 'take out' restaurant, and if price is a big factor, consider combo platters! The majority of the time if you pick out a regular entree, they will make it to you in a combo platter which includes an egg roll and fried rice. read more

Can't say we'll be coming here again... this was our third visit and really wasn't a good one, we ordered dinner for two and everything was going decent, egg rolls, crab Rangoon and Hot and Sour soup was so so, a little on the spicy side. Once the food came it looked decent, but the pork on the dish tasted like it was past due already, so I set it aside because didn't really want to get sick, not once did the server come to ask if we needed anything or I the food alright, which it wasn't due to the pork tasting bad, I had to grab my own plate because she only have two when clearly there were three of us, had to grab my own napkins because she never came around, only to fill our waters. Come to find out at the end when we got our check that if you change an item even if it's cheaper... You get charged 2 extra dollars which I thought was odd since I was getting something that was actually cheaper, ha! Then the tea that is normally complementary, turned out not to be. So I just had to ask about the 2 dollar charge because I couldn't figure out what it was and she got an attitude with me for asking! Huh? I'm sorry for asking, I'm sure you would too, right? So she tells me "you don't have to pay it if you don't want to!" A little too late now since you already added it without telling me. She takes my card and charged me and then leaves my card laying on the counter an tells me to go sign!I asked her where my card was? " I left it on the counter, I couldn't believe the rudeness of this place that was completely empty by the way, so it's not like they were all busy and not able to provide customer service, and don't expect to have your food placed in a container for you either, you can do that yourself. :) oh, and I still tipped her by the way, haha. I've been coming here and ordered food from here over the past few years and can definitely say every time I'm very pleased. Whether it's delivery for a dinner at home with my family, which only takes 45 minutes or less, to getting take out (takes 15 approximately), the quality and portions of the food are above par. They definitely try to accommodate you the best they can when asking for substitutions (they cannot substitute fried rice instead of white unless it's a combo platter or lunch menu) but my tip is to look online for coupons!
