The open sign does not mean they are open. Today they open "around 3:30."

Fair Americanized Chinese, quick service when open, but not always open as posted. Sometimes not open when the "OPEN" sign is lit. Stick to the standards, fried rice, egg foo yung, sweet and sour pork. I haven't found any great vegetable dishes here. Ample parking.

I was in the mood for a Chinese lunch combo so I drove over for lunch. The place is over the top with Asian decoration inside and out with two dining rooms separated by a small but nice little bar. I saw the sign on the front door, lunch buffet $8.95 and thought I might just try a buffet even though I don't do buffets because anything I order will be that much. NOPE the lunch buffet is not open today I was told so now I'm back to the lunch combo, NOPE they decided that that's off the menu as well, I can understand lunch buffet but yanking parts of the advertised menu is petty. I asked about the 50% off on a second entrie Yelp check in coupon and the don't honor that either so now I'm thinking taht this is a shady restaurant. Now I can't wait to order the Mongolian beef and see what they say to that, surprise she took my order. The Mongolian Beef looked good but was completely mediocre which was heavy on the veggies and light on the beef compared to other restaurants. The veggies were cooked good with some crunch left in them. The beef was tender but but all you could taste was all the onions. Overall this place was a swing and a miss and I'm disappointed that they didn't honor three advertised things and abruptly removing the lunch specials at lunch time so the customers have to spend more money buying lager portions and separate appetizers is not a good business practice. Forcing the customers to buy larger portions than they want is crap, I wanted a lunch size meal from the lunch menu and not a large dinner portion, yah I couldn have walked but I was already there and will not be back.

Came here with a few picky kids. The meals are not very American-child friendly. If you want individualized meals for each child, you'll get an extra large portion. I do applaud the effort though. It seemed like the waitress did not understand our demands, but she came through with our picky order and everything looked great. The dishes that come with the set meals for multiple people have fresh ingredients and are delicious!

It is a full vibe that must be experienced…read more Craft cocktails in a charming, warm, inviting space similar to a Victorian era home back in the 1900s. Service is impeccable. They do a tremendous job of explaining the menu and food options in detail, and ensure you have a great experience from start to finish. The drinks? Nothing short of amazing. They vary the featured cocktails menu every 8 weeks, so most likely you'll get a different experience every time you go. However you can always get your classic cocktails like Margaritas, French 75 and Martinis. They also can do any drink NA which is the first of its kind in the US. They have an option called dealers choice, where you can pick the spirit and flavor profile of the drink you want: spicy, sour, floral, smoky etc. no limits! You write down on a card what you want and they craft you a cocktail based on your selections. They also offer a variety of food pairings to go along with the select, featured drink you order. We got spring rolls, a braised, pork infused doughnut, and an incredible bone broth that still has me in a tizzy. Fair warning: it's small and difficult to get a reservation - don't try your luck walking in, this place is a hot ticket and you won't be able to get in without a resy, which could be weeks or months out. This is a true gem of a cocktail bar, and is as good as anything you would find in New York or Chicago.

Liked the vibe - reminds me of shakers cigar bar but without all the smoke (like, a bit spooky,…read moreold, maybe haunted but also very cool). We stopped here after dinner, so we stuck mostly with the cocktails. Unfortunately, nothing on the seasonal menu really stuck out to me. I stuck with the "traditional" cocktails (spicy watermelon bubblegum, and then banana daiquiri). Hubs went for the halo halo food (which was so cute! All the typical ingredients but served in cubist fashion), and the paired drink. The paired drink was supposed to have different layers of flavor, but they all mixed together quite a bit. Tasty, just not the "layered" experience we thought. I think they almost do themselves a disservice comparing themselves to the aviary - that is a crazy high bar to meet. Granted, maybe we would have been more impressed if we had more of the seasonal cocktails despite them not seeming interesting? Probably wouldnt go out of my way to go here again, but it is a cool vibe and the cocktails were good.

Date of visit: April 18, 2026…read more A group of us try to get together every few months since we don't work together any more and this time around I picked The Eleanor Room. I so rarely get to Greendale (honestly, can't say that I had ever been to anywhere in the village besides the mall) and I liked that we could make a reservation, making it a nice change of pace. The decor is lovely, very Art Deco, a nod to Eleanor Roosevelt, the namesake of the restaurant. I was very pleasantly surprised at how wonderful the interior was given that the exterior is essentially a strip mall. What's that old saying about books and their covers? Service was great, both attentive and timely, and everyone very much enjoyed their food. Monte Cristo is one of my favorites and this one was done very well. My coffee was also good and she kept it coming, which I also appreciated. Really the only sour note in the entire experience was being asked to vacate the table. While it was not handled terribly poorly, I would have recommended they offer us something to shift to the bar to not end the meal on a less than positive note, but that's just me.

Pretty impressed by this place! It's a very unassuming location outside, but once you go inside,…read morethe vibes are immaculate. I love all the air plants they have and the dark interior really does make it more of a "classy dive" as their name suggests. We came here for a Sunday lunch and to catch the Brewers game. They had a three dollar special on domestics when we went, which was cool. Our server was nice and our orders came out promptly. The food was absolutely delicious. I was blown away by it actually. When I go to dive bars, I don't have the highest expectations for the food because usually the food is mediocre. However, at this bar, it really blew me away. I had the ODB smashburger with regular fries. The burger was juicy and flavorful with such a fluffy, soft bun. I love that they put crispy onion straws in it for a little crunch. The fries are steak fries. They had some beer batter type of coating that made them so crispy and yummy. I'm glad I stumbled upon this place. I look forward to coming back to catch another game and eat their delicious food!

We started with the really big pretzel and birria nachos. Both appetizers were HUGE! Everyone loved the pretzel. It was soft with a perfectly crisp outside and did not have a dry inside like a lot of the soft pretzels I order out. The cheese dip was excellent too. The nachos were fantastic--loved the pickled onions. They were a unique and tasty addition. After the large appetizers, we realized we didn't have room for full entrees. Everyone ordered some wings. I really wanted to try the hot sauce but was scared to commit. Our server was super friendly and brought me some out to test with bread. Loved the flavor, but it was indeed too hot for me. I went with the garlic parm sauce (so good). My son got a side of the Mac and cheese which I thought was delicious. Cavatappi noodles, breadcrumbs, oh my! ODB's menu might feature some "typical bar food" but it is realllllllly good bar food. The menu has a great variety of choices but isn't too big and overwhelming like a lot of places. The bar looked fun too, there was a dj and everything. I'll be back (probably for that birria sandwich I had my eyes on!).
