Glad to have another quality restaurant in the neighborhood. We ordered traditional dishes because we didn't have a menu. It was delicious! Good portion size for the price. I tend to judge my Chinese restaurants on the ability to present a great Hot and Sour Soup - they nailed it! They have several items on the menu that are non-traditional which include squid, lamb and duck. I even saw a Braised Grouper on the menu we received with our order. My husband and I noticed a new Chinese restaurant in our neighborhood and immediately tried it out. Turns out they'd JUST opened the day before! We were greeted warmly and had our pick of a delicious sushi bar. I had a veggie roll and my husband had several salmon rolls and praised how fresh they were. Their buffet also had authentic Chinese fare such as pig feet (husband also loved this). Upon taking a seat, one of the owners approached us and insisted on making us fresh food. He brought out plate after plate of more traditional "American" Chinese food staples: sweet & sour chicken, fried spring rolls, chicken with broccoli, a General Tso's style chicken, and our favorite: a dish the chef called pepper chicken (the flavor was incredible in this dish!). We also sampled some pork ribs, and those were delicious, too. Finally, to end our meal, we were brought out small bowls of warmed soy milk, lightly sweetened. The entire meal was a fun adventure! After talking to one of the owners, we found out they also offer dim sum, which we are excited to try in the future. I have given this place a try multiple times and every time am extremely disappointed. This last time was the worst -- my soup was awful and flavorless. The "mixed veggie soup with tofu" was two slices of cucumber, two pea pods, some onion and a whole brick of tofu. So gross. Will never go back. read more

I've ordered take out here 3 times now. The staff has always been really nice and have given good suggestions. Service is always fast (usually within 15 minutes) and they always give something for free like soda or watermelon. The food itself tastes fresh and not overly salty or oily. The also stay open pretty late. I've been lucky to always find street parking but I know the bar next door gets busy sometimes but I'm pretty sure they have delivery too. read more

Your best choice for unusual take out options. They're listed as Cantonese, but they have great Sichuan options as well. Some of the options and ingredients may be outside what the average patron expects, but the General Tso's is just as good as the hot pot. I'm not usually a big fan of Kung Pao, but their Kung Pao squid is a favorite. The dumplings are also very good. Once to ask if this was my phone number (obviously) and then to ask if they were delivering to an apartment (that's why I said "apartment number...") we finally got our food and the delivery man barged his way into the apartment and when I opened up my sweet and sour chicken there was absolutely no sauce on it... The staff here is so friendly! When I was sick I enjoyed their soup a lot. They made just a plain tofu soup for me even though it wasn't on the menu. They use good quality, jumbo shrimp in their shrimp dishes, and their Kung Pao Shrimp is my personal favorite. Most times they have given us complimentary watermelon with our takeout orders. Owners are very nice and food comes quick (@12 am)! Sometimes they'll give you free watermelon or soup. Fried rice was very good, had pork and chicken. Friend and I had gone 4 times and always enjoyed it unless we had dishes we'd never tried before which is always a big mistake but we never learn! I absolutely love the hot and sour soup! I had tummy troubles (not because it was bad quality, I just have a weak stomach) from it the first time but it was so good I ordered more the next time. They have gatorade flavors that you won't find at Meijers/Walmart/Gas stations. The red one which is fruit punch mixed with something else is so so good. It's not the best chinese here in Lansing but it's the best you'll get at 12 am if you're nocturnal like I am! read more

The egg rolls and crab rangoon were soo delicious even though the egg rolls seamed to be just cabbage ...the noodles on the other hand were disgusting and flavorless. Randomly ran across this place with a friend and let me just say I did not leave hungry. Ordered the typical chicken fried rice and was not disappointed at all. Got the medium size dish and only cost me $5 so I decided to try the chicken and rice soup as well as a side. The soup was great. I've seen some chicken fried rices that have way too much sauce but this fried rice was perfect and had a great amount of chicken. The restaurant itself does not look like it's in the greatest condition but what it lacks in curb appeal makes up in flavor of food. The menu is filled with everything Chinese you can imagine so I can assure you that you can find something you will like. Highly recommend this place! Love this place! Service is incredibly fast but I'd be fine waiting for a while. For one, the food to follow is excellent and so reasonably priced. Moreover, though, they give you tons and that doesn't include the free perks. Summer, they'll throw in some watermelon for your wait. Once in a while, a drink on the house. I ordered two combo meals and 2 egg rolls which was quite expensive. I had it delivered. The food was not what I even ordered, so I called them to let them know. The response was, my drivers too busy, call back tomorrow and I'll take care of you. Well, I called them back and the guy that I had talked to before acted like he didn't know what I was talking about. I'm so thankful this new restaurant opened. I love to see a once shuttered location reincarnate itself. The owner offered me complimentary hot and sour soup, some of the best I've had in Lansing, and took my order. I had the General Tso's Chicken. Crispiest chicken I've ever had with this dish. It was dark meat, but not sinewy or dried out, it went perfectly with the extra spicy sauce I ordered. Run of the mill fried rice and egg rolls, although everything was fresh and hot. The owner also gave me a small serving of ice cream and watermelon, just because. Overall, extraordinary General Tso's chicken, over the top service and kindness, I'm beyond impressed. When this restaurant first opened I took an older friend along with me to try out this restaurant. I had the general Tsao chicken. The chicken tasted great but it basically had no chicken in it. It was like clumps of frosted flakes deep-fried and then covered with hot flavoring sauce. I won't be back and I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

Always had trouble with this place but they have sushi for a good price. It's on their menu however, they can only make it IF their sushi chef is there which isn't even a set date or time. Half the time they get the orders wrong and they blame one another instead of fixing it. However I've delt with it bc like I said, it's cheaper and they actually deliver sushi... Well on Monday, My coworkers and I ordered $86 worth of food.... First of all, the food took MORE than one hour to get to us. We called three different times and each time they told us they're almost there, they're almost there.... but they weren't almost there the first or second time we called. THEN the driver (who is also the sushi chef) tells us that he ran out of rice (who runs out of rice at an Asian restaurant???) and couldn't make two of our rolls. Which were the only meals for two of the people that ordered..... but instead, he made some shashimi and shrimp tempura for those people instead... what??... first of all, one of those rolls were mine, I don't like raw food that's why I ordered a cooked roll. What makes you think that substituting something else makes it ok for not bringing me the roll that you made me wait an hour for??? What makes you think that not having what I want, but oh eat this that I made instead makes it better???? What they should of done is called me and told me that they were out and asked if I wanted something else. What am I suppose to to with this raw shashimi that I am not going to like or eat?? And you made me wait an hour. I could've called a different restaurant and have already finished my meal by the time the driver brought our food an hour plus later....and it's not just the drivers fault. I've called before bc they have messed up and the driver always blames the phone people and the phone people always blame the driver/sushi chef bc they write in a language he cannot understand. I don't care who messed up! I want the right food. If this is your business you should hold your self Responsible, NOT blame the driver. Anyways, we go through our food and they don't even give us the right roll for One person so that person calls and complains again. They tell us that the driver is going to call us (I don't know why at this point he's just delivering the food) driver never calls so we call back again to complain and finally they agree to give us two free meal Items for the two rolls we didn't get. So we order fried rice items, one with no veggies and the other with no egg. Guess what happens... sure enough both meals have egg and veggies. I could at least pick out mine but my co worker couldn't eat hers because she is allergic.... on top of that, the driver (which was a drifferent one now) stood at the door DEMANDING a tip! Had to call them and they sent the sauce out but by the time we got the sauce the food was cold and the sauce was watery. They didn't offer any compensation for this at all. I figured by seeing all the good yelp reviews this place would be good but it must have went to shit in the last year or so. Went here for dinner tonight because I had a $10 off coupon. To say I was disappointed is an understatement! We ordered Crab Rangoon which was cooked too long and half filled. Also vegetable lo Mein was flavorless, unless you count burnt pain as a flavor you enjoy! The Kung Po Chicken was not even edible the chicken was slimy, the sauce was like soup with, uncooked nuts and celery on top, and the rice that came with it looked and tasted like it had been sitting around all day! The only thing I could consume without wanting to puke was the egg roll, which was basically just cabbage! Than the guy who was cashing us out yelled in my face pay cash! After I placed my order, I received a call from the restaurant attempting to extort a large tip from me even though I was in the delivery area they set up. I give this place 5 stars because I am taking it for what it is, a Chinese take out restaurant. In terms of that experience, this is the best I have had. The cook (maybe owner) is always extremely pleasant and offers things "on the house"randomly. He always seems so happy see customers and always has a smile on his face. Ordered delivery which was very quick, so one star for that. As for the food it was terrible! Ordered the general tso dinner and it asked if I wanted it mild, medium, spicy, extra spicy as I was ordering I put spicy. There was NO spice whatsoever as a matter of fact NO FLAVOR. It was so bland! Rice was yellow not like any fried rice I've ever had you can tell chicken powder was used for the salt instead of soy sauce and nothing was cooked well. Came back to visit MSU and a group of us were in the mood for Chinese. We ordered shrimp with lobster sauce (asked for dark sauce), beef with garlic sauce, Mongolian beef, chicken lomein, and almond chicken. All of them were terrific and I would order them again. I will definitely be back the next time I visit the area. We ordered the food for take out and everything was packaged nicely and ready to go for us when we came in. The people working, I assume owners, were very friendly. While we didn't eat there the place was clean and looks to have been recently remodeled.
