Occasionally I'll give in to hubby's craving for Chinese takeout. Usually it's once a year, just long enough for us to forget how disappointing our local Chinese spot really is. If you get any sauce-covered chicken it'll be soggy and not crispy at all, even if you eat it right away. The lo mien is always bland and requires additional soy sauce and hot mustard to make edible. I hate to say it, but our go-to Chinese takeout place just isn't the same anymore. The general tso's chicken was edible, but lacked the crunch you look for under the sauce. The egg rolls were greasy, the pork fried rice far too brown and oily and lacking ingredients, and the Beef Lo mein was overdone and the noodles had no bite and were soggy. The crab Rangoon was acceptable but 90% cream cheese inside. I believe they have new ownership as the people working inside are not recognizable. Two stars instead of one because the staff was friendly and fast. We threw away 80% of the food we ordered. This is not a one time bad experience, it has been poor the last 3 times we have ordered and 3 strikes is enough to warrant a poor review and a loss of our business. At the moment China Garden is holding that SPOT! Their Chinese food has that taste that seriously hits that spot! I give them 5 stars based on their taste, employees being respectful and profesional. The times I have order they are very busy! Clients are never disappointed. As a customer I would like to recommend them fixing their location. It can use a little more aesthetic. Over the last few months China Garden has become my households go to location for Chinese food. This place can easily pass for one of the cleanest Chinese take out spots I've ever been to until I saw a disturbing image of a roach in someones lo mein on here. Since the food is just so good and the staff is very friendly, I have decided to write it off as just another Yelp troll since I can not find the review or photo anymore. Every now and then I will catch myself scanning my plate with my fork for any unknown objects or bugs LOL. I almost forgot to mention how cheap China Garden's food is which is always good in my book! The only con is that they do not offer delivery which would be great for these rainy weather we have been getting lately. read more

I have been going here since they first opened well over 20 years ago and it seems China Garden has a new owner. The original owners obviously did not show the new owners the original recipes because the food is not the same and has zero flavor. They also raised their prices about 30% so it will definitely hurt their business. Almost $9.00 after tax for a small pork and Broccoli? I understand food prices are skyrocketing under Biden but it comes to a point where raising your prices too much will kill your sales volume. We have had the bourbon chicken, Szechuan beef, beef with broccoli, and my personal favorite, roast pork egg foo young. I literally drive past TWO other Chinese takeouts to pickup food here. Be aware that are open later than most places, until 10:00 PM. Large variety of standard Chinese takeout fare, but the quality is superior. Yes, you can eat here, at least during normal times. The specials are great for lunch. For dinner, my wife and I order 2 dinners, and a couple of appetizers, and we have enough for 2 meals. Only negative: I wish they would sell 16-20 ounce bottles of soda, not cans! Note. Sad to say that I have to give China Garden a 1-star. We've been getting food there for a while, however today we got takeout and my husband had a cockroach in his chicken lo mein. Food isn't bad! Pretty decent for the area actually. The interior is pretty outdated but the kitchen is visible and is actually pretty clean! The menu is very typical. They're open on Christmas and New Years which is fantastic and food is made up fairly quick. Only complaint is that the restaurant has a very bizarre odor and is slightly nauseating. Also saw that cooked chicken was being stored in the same cooler as their sodas and bottled drinks. Yikes read more
