wonton soup

This spot is very much an individual experience restaurant. Sure, you can roll in with a whole group, but don't get cute -- everyone orders their own dish. No sharing, no "want a bite?" You get what you pick, end of story. And let me just warn you: the menu has zero pictures. None. So you might have absolutely no idea what you're about to get. It's a little culinary gamble. Fun... but also risky. Also, please don't embarrass yourself -- chow mein is veggies, lo mein is noodles. Two totally different things, and mixing them up will get you a surprise you didn't want. This was my second time here, and honestly? Its overall and okay experience for the family. Even with the mystery menu, the food slaps and we left happy.

Chicken fried rice

Amazing Chicken Fried Rice! This was my first time ordering from here, and I have a simple rule: if a place can't make a good chicken fried rice, I won't be back. Well, I'll definitely be back! Their chicken fried rice was absolutely delicious, one of the best I've had in a long time. It was so good that I can't wait to come back and try the shrimp Kung Po next. Highly recommend!

We had a good lunch here. I've been trying to find new dine-in Chinese restaurants and this place had been suggested online. They have a lot of lunch specials. Their crispy soup noodles were addictive by the way. They are the wide house made type. We had another bowl of these. All lunches come with soup and choice of rice. As well as a pot of hot tea. I'd like to come here again and order something different. So far, this was one of the better dine-in Chinese meals we've had -- even though we ordered wrong. I got their wonton soup. It was good, but I wished it had been served hotter. I was hungry so didn't complain. My husband liked his hot and sour soup. It had the right ratio of sour in it. I had been craving a standard American dish of subgum chicken chow mein. Not many places make it. So that's what I ordered with white rice. It was bland but that's how the dish is usually. I added some duck sauce to it to give a bit of pizzazz. The white meat chicken was good and the veggies were crispy. I liked it though it's not what I usually order nor what I'd get there again. My husband tried their lemon chicken. It was okay. The piece of chicken in his dish that I tried had a bit too much thick breading on it for me.

Mixed soup. Yum.

I don't like the people there. They will rob your money from their poor taste foods. No other customers sitting except me.

Great old school Chinese food. Fresh food. Friendly service. Reasonable portions. Combos are a great value.

Personally, I believe this is the best Chinese food I've had in 25 years in Florida. Every meal is perfect. I'll keep coming back!

Portions are really small compared to China hut. For the money just go to China hut. Food is ok but not for the price

Great food! Order and carry out as its the quickest way. Lots of geezers block the entrance, so don't plan on getting a table very soon.

Always good Chinese food Best tea…read more Service was slow because the waitress was flying solo that night. Usually service is prompt but she was struggling with sit down orders and pick-ups She did great given the situation

Going inside, the restaurant felt vibrantly red and welcoming. Fortunately, there were a good amount of open tables and we were seated quickly. Tonight we ordered 1x chicken with garlic sauce, 1x chow fun, 1x spare ribs, 1x hot & sour soup, 1x egg drop soup, 1x wonton soup, and 2x eggrolls. Going in with my review,*disclosure: not the largest fan of Chinese food* but the food was great! The chicken with garlic sauce had a well balanced sauce, chicken was very tender, fresh assortment of vegetables, garlic wasn't overpowering! My favorite dish of the night was the chow fun! It had those bouncy chewy noodles, savory sauce, and tender strips of char siu pork! The spareribs (char siu) had a sticky delectable salty sweet bbq sauce, and were on the bone tender! Only critique for the night was that the hot & sour soup could've used more white pepper or that hot factor. Egg drop had tender swirls of silky egg and a refreshing light broth. The wonton soup had a clear flavorful broth, nicely cooked wontons; for extra flavor I add the hot mustard IYKYK! The eggrolls weren't your typical hollow shells as they were packed with minced pork meat and tasted fresh fried to order! Overall, we were very pleased with both the food and service tonight. For these reasons, we'd be happy to give Mr. Shens 5/5 stars!

Not very spicy or garlicky shrimp and vegetables were slightly sweet but fresh and tasty nonetheless. (Egg roll was there too.)

Our first visit, we ordered in person and waited about 15 minutes for our food. The second time, we called ahead and our order was ready when we arrived! Service was fast and easy. We tried the Szechuan chicken and shrimp combo order on our first visit, which came with an egg roll, wonton chips, and white rice. I added a side of sauce not realizing there would already be plenty with the main dish. On our second visit, we went with the regular Szechuan chicken, which also comes with white rice (brown rice is available for an upcharge) -- and it was easily enough for two to share. The food is flavorful without being too oily or overdressed, and the spice level is solid. I personally like a little more heat, so I topped mine off with red pepper flakes at home, but it is good as-is. Veggies were cooked well and everything was served hot and fresh. Their menu offers plenty of variety, including lunch specials and combo options for those looking to try a little of everything. We enjoyed our orders and will definitely be back when the craving hits!

Lunch was abundant for $15. Four spareribs, an eggroll and fried rice were included. I filled the bag with a fortune cookie and some duck sauce on my way out. Lunch was hot and the plastic container did not leak. The ribs on top were perfect with the meat falling off the bones. The two ribs hidden on the bottom were overcooked gritty and garbage. I'm glad I wasn't too hungry just had a yen for Chinese food.
