Total garbage service. Completely disorganized. Ordered for pickup and drove to grab the order after 30 minutes and found out they had not even started it. That they had actually lost it. Took another hour to actually get our food. Secondly, the parking lot is absolutely insane, people willing to kamikaze you just to get inside Zodo's. Given the extreme difficulty to actually get food, I really don't care what the food tastes like. read more

I wouldn't give this place even 2 stars. We waited over one hour for food. The waitress served others before us and didn't take the order of the people behind us until much later. We asked many times where the food was, my kids were hungry and the waitress seemed to play games. We finally took off! This waitress should be fired. The others workers were also apathetic. A very horrific attitude towards customers like they are doing people a favor to serve them. read more

Update 06/28/16 (rated 4 stars): We had the opportunity to get take out from China King. We ordered Kung Pao Vegetarian Chicken (Soy Chicken), Vegetarian Chicken w/ Broccoli (Soy Chicken), and the Moo Shu Vegetables. We also received fried wontons with the order. Overall, the Kung Pao Vegetarian Chicken was the dish enjoyed the most by all. The soy chicken is a pressed tofu that probably arrives in a sausage-like tube, is then sliced into rounds, and cut into quarters. It is marinated with the sauce of the dish and is quite tasty. Dishes are slightly over-oily, but not extremely; you won't find oil at the bottom of the plate when you finish. Not overly salty, especially in comparison to Lucky Dragon in the K-mart plaza. Seems like the place is family run - and they are all very friendly. We'll be back but more likely during lunch time as the prices are slightly friendlier to our wallets. Best Chinese restaurant we've been to in the area. We asked about the shop closing in the middle of the day, and they said they close if they need to run an errand real quick. Maybe next time they will put a sign on the door saying they will be back in 5 minutes. ---------------------------- 06/25/16 (rated 1 star): Unfortunately, we never got to try the food. I have eaten lunch three times here. I always order the Kung Pao Tofu, so my review is based on one dish at lunch. My first time in I had the hot and sour soup with the lunch which was good, and the last two times I had a potato soup which was very good. The luncheon plate is a very good value for this area. The four stars is based on my limited experience, but if that changes and I broaden the dishes I order, I will adjust the ratings. The second time I was in the restaurant there was a large Chinese party. Of course there is a Chinese menu, and I would imagine there is a verbal menu for the Chinese that may change day by day, so we don't see all the options in the American menu. The more Chinese people we see in the restaurant, the more confidence we will have about its long term durability. When I have been in, the service has been fine. Of course if the restaurant were jammed, then they would have to add service staff. The physical restaurant is clean and in good shape, and I am sure there were recent renovations since they have not been open that long. It is a comfortable space fitting for this type of Chinese restaurant. There is no parking problem since they share a large space with other small businesses and the bowling alley. We came for christmas eve looking for authentic chinese food. Hot & Sour Soup & Steamed Dumpling was a good start. Ma Pa Tofu & Sizzling Beef was decent. Price was semi-expensive. Hell naw! Hell the to NAW, NAW, NAW! This food was NOT good. I got sweet and sour chicken with brown rice. The chicken was rubbery, but the brown rice was okay. Then, on top of that, the sauce for the chicken was not sweet. It was mostly just a sour orange sauce. I slathered my chicken in it thinking that the sauce was the delicious red sauce that most of these fake Chinese restaurants sell. It was not. It tasted like straight ass. I love this place, it has been here for apparently almost 2 years now and I just discovered it. Potstickers are a must, Hunan beef was crisp/sweet/savory and more addicting than anything I've tried in this area--let alone Santa Barbara. Will definitely be coming back. So far have ordered take here once, and was so happily served it made my day. I got the kung-pow chicken and it was a huge to-go servings with rice that lasted about 3 meals. Super tasty but the reason I'm definitely going back is that the dish was loaded with chicken and had a little zucchini and water chestnuts. There was no slimy bell-pepper or anything else.
