We came across this restaurant on the way back to Fresno we decided to order from China kitchen which there's one in Fresno well surprisingly we got the one from Fowler because they got the one in that area where we were at when I realize that it was not in Fresno we decided to still head in that direction since we had already order instead of canceling and I'll tell you we will definitely never go back to China Kitchen in Fresno this was by far the best Chinese we have had in a very very long time every time I'm in this area I try to order dinner here!! Great Service, Great food. Whats not to love? A good choice that I made to go to the small town of Fowler for this great Chinese restaurant for my Chinese food fix. I was really impressed by the service. From the first step into the restaurant to the last, really lovable waitress. I really got tired of the food from my local town of Selma, CA (China Garden) which to me has had me feeling nauseated just thinking about. So, I ventured out of my habitat and decided to go to China Kitchen. The place was really clean, with a lot of light something different from feeling like your entering a dungeon. The fish tank by the entrance my daughter loved and kept her busy. Okay, now to the food was homemade and done right. The cook doesn't over salt and overdoes it on the spices and flavor. It's just perfect. We heard on the grapevine that the cook used to be the head chef years ago for China Garden in Selma, Ca... it's a small world and makes perfect sense. Overall I had the best experience one customer can have, and I will return to try out them potstickers, I am fanatic for anything stuffed. I rate this place 4.0 read more

Made the drive from Fresno to pick up some Chinese today. Most places were closed when I started making calls in town. This was just a hop skip and a jump from our place off 99. I am so glad I made the 15 minute drive. Not only was there a ton of food, the food is great not greasy, and was very safe and clean process for food pickup. They have things blocked off inside restaurant and woman was wearing mask. I was wearing mine also. Got right off freeway and right back on. It's just pass the Starbucks off Merced exit. I made such good time and pick up was so fast I even stopped for Starbucks drive through. Very happy camper. Highly recommend. Will be back!! read more

This little Chinese restaurant tucked away in Fowler, CA was really an unexpected treat. My family and I came based on the positive reviews and an inkling for some Chinese food. Not expecting much, as I am a natural pessimist. I was more than pleasantly surprised by the huge portions and great flavor. You can tell that the vegetables in the dishes are fresh and the wait time for our food was minimal at best. At first glance, I thought the prices were a bit high for lunch @ an $8 average per plate. But when the first plate came out, it is most definitely the opposite. In fact, I believe they are undercharging for the size of the portions! Found this place on yelp. I seen it had close to 5 stars. Wow. It should be 6 stars! I'm new to the area and I'm picky about my Chinese food. It's family owned and you can tell. Dad is the cook. Mom is the waitress. Son is the bus boy. A real hidden gem. I would drive miles to come here and eat again. We had the kung pao chicken plate for 7.99$ ! Can't beat it. It's a combo and it didn't disappoint for the price. I would pay 12$ for this plate or more. Clean, friendly and they are from Hong Kong. Which makes it special because I have visited Hong Kong and the culinary food is extraordinaire! Please take the short drive to Fowler and see for hurdler this hidden gem. Here is why they didn't receive a 5th star: Not allowing us to switch soup with the combo meal, which we would have gladly paid more for. The wait was a little long for what we ordered. This place has very good chinese food I've had around this area. We've dined in and received excellent service. The owner is a sweet lady. She's very courteous and attentive. I even ordered several dishes to go as well and she was so nice to help carry my food out to my car since I had my hands full. On a different occasion, we had ordered party trays for my daughter's birthday which serves like 60+ people and 11 different dishes and everything was super yummy! All of our guests asked where I ordered from and complimented on how delicious all the food were. The salt & peppered fish was a hit! Wish I would ordered at large. Our favorite place for Chinese food. It's a family run business with the owner waiting tables and her as the cook. The owner is so friendly and remembers everyone! The food is very good. My favorite is the house chow mien. It is packed with shrimp, chicken, beef, and pork. As well as being packed with lots of veggies. The chicken wings are also really good and the orange chicken is great too. The portion sizes are large so you'll have plenty of leftovers and their prices are great as its fairly inexpensive. read more

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST CHINESE FOOD IN THIS TOWN. I drove a cool 1 hour to this place. I absolutely love the food and service here. This restaurant is own by a cute little Chinese family and they are so funny and caring for you during your experience there. The wait is not long at all and even the pearl drinks are adequate [coming from the Central Valley]. Definitely order the pan-fried noodles with seafood. It's super delicious! Found this great restaurant on Yelp when it was lunchtime, I was starving and wasn't familiar with local options. The reviews I read were worthy of me giving it a try and I'm so glad I did. The owner was warm and welcoming as was my server. The menu is quite comprehensive and while I did not see eggplant listed, when I inquired about it she said that indeed they had eggplant and would I like it over chicken or pork. I went with the chicken and was thrilled with my choice. The chicken was cooked perfectly as was the eggplant - cooked thru but not mushy. I highly recommend if you're in the area. Normally I love this place but tonight it was nasty. Ordered the shrimp too young had maybe like 6 shrimp cut in half. Canned corn and what ever crappy vegies laying around the kitchen and not a whole lot of bean sprouts. Plus it was salty, YUCK. Give it to my dogs. Then I also had Szechuan eggplant in spicy garlic sauce. Well I asked the young lady over the phone and she said that's what it was. It was like a floppy mess of flavorless veggies. Again Yuck!! First time trying china kitchen as I'm new to the town. I got the orange chicken combination plate to go. The orange chicken, fried shrimp piece and egg roll were fine. Not the best I've had but I'd eat again. The "pork" fried rice and pan fried noodles were so disappointing. Where was the pork in the rice? Or any veggies? There was nothing. It was just rice with like one chunk and the flavor wasn't that good either, very very bland as well as the noodles. I'll try other things on the menu in the future, as broccoli and beef is one of my favs- if I have a better experience I'll update my review. If not, I'll try other places. read more

I've only been here once and I was pretty impressed. We've been desperately looking for a new Chinese place to frequent and so far this ones left the biggest (and best) impression. To start off with, the staff are super friendly. They aren't afraid to interact and check up on everyone (even the chef came out to see how we liked everything), but they weren't overbearing about it either. The food was good. I've been here only twice, the first time being literally approx 8 years ago or more and the gal remembered my daughter. We came in today for lunch and were served quickly. The food was good. I had the Wor Won Ton soup, which is my favorite chinese soup. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because I would have loved more veggies in their version of the soup. It was tasty, but the other 3 places I get it at has water chestnuts and snow peas, along with the veggies that today's soup had. Like I said, still tasty but I love a variety of veggies. Fowler) Chinese and then hello, is a 30sec drive to China Kitchen. The restaurant has a nice interior and looks very welcoming. I was greeted by the owner who was very polite with a smile. I ordered a combo plate to go. I must say the food was great!! Plenty to fill you up, and I'm a big boy. Definitely a nice spot to come for dinner if I drive through Fresno/Fowler again. The food is good. But the waitres attitude is bad. I been there 3 tiemes already and every time is the same! she treats us like we if Dont have money to pay. Shes always demanding how we have to seat and where to put our drinks in the table. My son ask for sriracha sauce and she said ohh theres hot sauce inbthe table and i say yes ! But my son is asking for sriracha!. And when ever you ask for something she semms like she dont like to. Be ask for stuff. Like i said the food is good thats why we came already 3 times but her attittude is getting on my nerves already i hope she can chance her attittude with people or else the bussiness is going to lose costumers. read more
