So fun! Great ambiance, pricing and customer service. Busy shopping plaza but separation is possible when you walk in this establishment. The aroma is delicious, the menu items look delicious and the portions are large. I wasn't hungry but had dessert. My friend had a tofu dish and this is the image.

Left to Right Crispy beef, salted egg yolk prawns, string beans

I can see why this place is so popular and so poppin! The food here is absolutely delicious! I tried 3 dishes: String beans - Perfectly flash fried and seasoned. It has an indescribable flavor that's equal parts savory and equal parts addicting. Nice and crispy still and there was a tiny bit of chilis so it does have a very subtle kick to it. Salted egg yolk prawns - Good, the salted egg yolk was subtle but present enough to give off a creamy yet salty boost to the prawns. Solid dish overall. Crispy beef- This was my favorite dish. The beef was crispy and sweet. Every bite made me want to take another, and another, and another. IT's honestly extremely addicting. It seems to be flash fried and then a sweet sauce glaze is dripped over and refried. Excellent must try dish!

Dan Dan Noodles are my #1, big flavor!

I almost hate to review this place because then everyone will know how good it is and it will get too busy lol. 100% my favorite Chinese restaurant in the city. This location is quite spacious considering its location in Chinatown. The food is always made to perfection; my favorites include: the Fresh Shrimp Spring Roll, Wood Ear Mushroom Salad, Crispy Beef, Stir-Fried Green Beans, and the Dan Dan Noodle. I crave it at least once a week. And the portions are served family-style but its so good that I can sometimes finish them by myself hahah

Came here on a Friday night with a group of friends. We joined the waitlist and were seated in around 20 minutes. We ordered a few dishes and shared them family style. The highlights of the night were the Crispy Beef and the Mapo Tofu. By itself, I could honestly eat the Crispy Beef all day, it was nice and crunchy with great flavor inside. The Mapo Tofu was really well made and went really well with their Jasmin rice. All the other dishes we ordered I thought were pretty average, but not bad. I'd recommend this place if you're craving some authentic Chinese cuisine

One of the best meals I had on my visit in Las Vegas. This place met the hype with the delicious amazing quality of food. The service here was fast and attentive, food came out reasonably fast for a fast busy night. They have a decent sized place which gets busy and loud at peak times, definitely get on that waitlist. The food was sooo good from the crispy beef, walnut shrimp, fried rice, and green beans I ordered everything was so damn good. Even the bill at the end of the meal was more than reasonable for the quality and quantity of food we got. Will absolutely be back next time I'm in town and would totally recommend!

We've visited quite a few restaurants in Shanghai Plaza over the years, but somehow never made it to China Mama until now. Many times we've stopped by only to find a line out the door, and after finally dining here, I completely understand why. China Mama has become a favorite among food bloggers and social media influencers, but it more than lives up to the hype. The restaurant is one of the cleanest and most beautifully decorated Chinese restaurants I've visited in quite some time, and I dine at a lot of Chinese restaurants. The service was wonderful, and the food was outstanding. Portions are generous, so we limited ourselves to just a couple of dishes: the Mapo Tofu and the Crispy Beef. Both were absolutely delicious, with bold flavors and excellent execution. I can't emphasize enough how much we enjoyed them. China Mama has officially earned a spot on my list of must-visit restaurants whenever I'm in Las Vegas.

I've seen lots of positive reviews about this chain of restaurants and I finally decided to give it a try. I ordered the combination rice, fried duck, cucumber salad, combination chow mein and wings. Each of the dishes tasted amazing, were seasoned well and had great flavor. The portions were generous and the dishes were priced accordingly. However, without question, the duck was the most flavorful dish, especially, after Jason, the manager suggested I try mixing a small amount of soy sauce into the hoisin sauce, which, added more flavor to the duck. Jason's suggestion made my overall meal more enjoyable, which, I appreciated. Throughout my meal, Jason visited several tables interacting with customers, which, spoke volumes of the restaurants commitment to providing excellent customer service.

I live in the Bay Area and there are tons of places close by serving this type of fare. I think I fell into a bit of a social media vortex on this one as the foods not bad but just not anything I'd go out of my way to visit. I enjoyed everything we tried and prices are decent. I prob would not order the pan fried dumplings again. They are substantial but they need some xlb juice in side.

A solid restaurant. Thankfully we were seated right away. The food is very good but very pricey. The menu isn't huge but it had some great options. Come and check it out!

4.5/5 - One of the best Chinese spots in Vegas, especially the Jones Blvd or Shanghai Plaza locations. Hits: Killer crispy beef, juicy pan-fried pork buns, soup dumplings, and solid classics like mapo tofu and honey walnut shrimp. Fresh flavors, generous portions, and better than typical American-Chinese fare. Vibe: Modern, clean, family-friendly with good service (though it gets busy). Price: A bit higher ($20-$30 entrées), but worth it for the quality. Verdict: Must-try if you're craving elevated Chinese in Vegas. Locals love it for good reason. Reservations recommended on weekends.

This place is a must try! Amazing food and service but the only struggle is parking and a bit of patience to wait for table when the restaurant is fully packed. The place looks nice but too much people when we went there but service was fast so I can't complain. I would definitely recommend trying the crispy beef! Crispy and sweet and tasty! Love their serving!

This place was mentioned by many people so we had to stop to try. We had a short wait, but it was well worth. We had a party at four so we decided just to try a bunch of different things and everything was excellent. This is definitely a restaurant I would recommend and we will be back next time in Vegas..

We went to eat dinner at Pepper Lunch, but when we arrived to walk in, we found out that they are temptation closed. I heard of China Mama, and their rave reviews, and it's right in the other end of Shanghai Plaza, so off we went. We were seated immediately (early dinner) and checked our their menu. Everything sounded delicious, and there were a lot of interesting items to try. We ended up ordering Dan Dan Noodles, Ginger Onion Fish, and Salt and Pepper Pork Chops. The food came out really quick. And piping hot! To keep it simple, everything was really good!

It's located in a small strip mall on W Warm Springs Road, about 8 miles southwest from the W Hotel where I was staying. The décor is simple, with about six tables inside and tables outside for al fresco dining. You go there for the food, not the décor. They offer a tasting menu for two for $190, that is amazing. What's more amazing is the deluxe version for $370. As a solo diner on this occasion, I couldn't avail myself of either so I made my own, three Shigoku oysters ($12), three Oyster / Uni / Foie Gras ($30), U3 Prawn with truffle butter ($40), Truffle Bone Marrow Filet with Foie Gras ($76), two glasses of wine ($14 and $16), and Illy coffee to finish ($4). The three Shigoku oysters were great; the ones with uni and foie gras were sublime! I had a glass of 2024 Touraine Sauvignon Blanc with the oysters. The Truffle Prawn was out of this world! The large prawn was split and grilled with truffle butter. The meat was perfect, and I scooped all of the goodness from the shells and savored each bit. I wanted another order! The Truffle Bone Marrow included two bone halves, topped with sliced medium rare filet and seared foie gras. I can never have too much foie gras! The marrow was so unctuous and combined with the filet and a slice of foie gras, I was in food heaven! It's so decadent and insanely good. I had a glass of District 7 Pinot Noir with the meat. Alas, no room for dessert. If I did, I would have ordered another Truffle Prawn. I ended my meal with a cup of Illy coffee, then headed back to my hotel. Ah, what a meal! Superb from start to finish! The total came to $253.08, including a tip. Highly recommended! Rating: 4.75.

Let's start with the highlights of this place- This restaurant has what I'd call "sexy food"- dishes that look like they came straight out of a fine dining restaurant, BUT here, at a MUCH more affordable price! ESPECIALLY DURING HAPPY HOUR!! ( 11 PM - 3 AM). Here are the MUST TRY's: The Gyoza- AMAZING flavor and texture. (Happy Hour Dish) The Sashimis- All come with a citrusy yuzu soy sauce. I love the Yellowtail and Salmon one especially! (Salmon Sashimi is a Happy Hour Dish) Black Cod Lettuce Wraps- Umami, crunchy, satisfying! Chicken/Beef Kushi- the sauces for these- just WOW! (Happy Hour Dish) The New York Strip- Look at the presentation! Amazing! The side seasoning, the greens and chili threads- they all pair with this beautifully cooked steak very well! They do have pricier dishes- even a full Chef's Tasting Menu! But since I usually just come for a quick bite late at night, I don't really get those. Ambience- it is a small restaurant, but not too busy. I find that a lot of late night workers come here for a nice fancy, but affordable dinner. This place is great for groups of friends. What needs work- I do love the food of this restaurant, but there are some things that hurt it. I'd love to see them overcome these obstacles and turn out even more popular on the other side! The Outside- I'm not sure if it's the sewage or something, but around the corner spot where this restaurant is located, there's just this awful, stinky smell. I feel like that issue hurts the restaurant, especially for people who would want to dine outside. The hospitality- the staff is fast- hard working- efficient and good at their job. I don't have to wait much for my food to come out. But I feel like there is a lack of hospitality- I get the feeling that they're disinterested in you being their guest- I don't exactly feel welcome and it just comes across as they're just trying to get the job done. Closing Time- Happy Hour and Online Apple/Google Maps says this restaurant closes at 3am- however, there have been times where this restaurant stops seating or taking in orders before 2am. So just be aware that you may not be able to eat there if you go past 2. Fried Rice/Yakisoba- The rice and the noodles are great, but there's something funky about the protein. When I've ordered beef yakisoba before, the beef tastes funky- not fresh. I feel like these are strong side dishes, but I do question the freshness/flavor of the protein added to these dishes.
