    Baked bbq buns
    MyChi N.

BEST BAKED BBQ bun you'll ever try! I can see why they won a Michelin star for this bun. Everything about it is perfect -- from the texture to the flavor. It's airy, crispy, perfectly sweet, and soft all at the same time. I usually hate when BBQ buns have a strong porky taste, but this one didn't at all. The meat was tender and paired perfectly with the "pineapple-style" crust on the bun. You have to try this if you come here. We also got the radish cake, shumai, sticky rice in lotus leaf, shrimp rice rolls, and deep-fried shrimp-stuffed eggplant. Everything was good, but I especially loved the radish cake and the deep-fried eggplant with shrimp. The radish cake had such a great texture and a rich, savory flavor. It was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the chunks of meat paired so well with it. Easily one of the best radish cakes I've had at a dim sum place. I'd definitely recommend getting dim sum here, especially for the baked BBQ bun. It's worth the trip, and it's inside the Palm Casino, which offers free parking!

We decided to eat here after watching a movie at the Palms. The food was good, my son and hubby really enjoyed it. To me, it was ok. Maybe I ate too much popcorn and my tastebuds were off. The service was good, very attentive and friendly. The ambiance was very nice. I wouldn't mind going back, if hubby likes it then we'll definitely will be back.

At Palms Hotel. High quality dim sum with some items that's hit miss but overall decent quality. However not sure if it's $$$ that good though. Maybe if 80% was superb, then makes sense? But it is Vegas, where locally it's full of not so great Chinese food. Local Vegas has good enough Chinese food for tourists coming to international, midwest or in general in a good mood to realize much. For Vegas dim sum, Ping Pong Pong (yes its an actually restaurant name, and not a racist joke) would be our go to IF we have to pick a place. There are other noncasino local places. But I sadly feel that Tim Ho Wan and Ping Pang Pong are better options even if priced higher. For me, I prefer not to pay for any....if it's free, or a great deal (like our friend using their rewards on the group, then yes) haha

The dim sum at Tim Ho Wan was seasoned perfectly. There is a wide variety of menu items, including seafood, beef, pork, and veggie options. The siu mai with scallop and truffles was a standout dish, and we splurged on the crab legs which was also fantastic, if a bit pricey (ask for Market Price before ordering). The service was quick and we had tea served to us within the first few moments of sitting down.

Had business lunch here and we enjoyed the food! The baked pork bun was delicious! We ordered lots of selections and got our food quickly. Such a pleasant place and friendly atmosphere! I'll definitely be back again.

Arrived for lunch during the week. To avoid the wait we opted to sit at the bar which had two open seats available. The bartender took our order and was friendly with small talk. I ordered beef stew, won ton noodle soup, and a chicken rice bowl. The beef stew with daikon contained a generous portion and the taste reminded me of Hong Kong with the savory taste. The chicken rice contained black mushrooms, Chinese sausage, and ginger and the juices soaked onto the rice which was heavenly tasting. Lastly the wonton soup noodles arrived which was authentic tasting and comforting although it could have been a bit hotter so I requested our waiter to bring some additional broth which he did promptly. Overall, I really enjoyed our experience here with the solid service and authentic Cantonese cuisine.

I've eaten here a few times with my family when visiting. Food is always pretty good, price is fair for Vegas and the ambiance is always on point. Compared to the Irvine location, this spot is much better across the board. Further breakdown below: Ambiance (4/5): It's situated inside Palms Casino, so it doesn't have the best air quality, obviously, but it's well decorated and inviting. Lighting is nice and the bits of Chinese decor and aesthetics is appreciated. Food (3.5/5): Nothing really blows your mind. Prices are on the higher end than what you'd find at typical dimsum joints (such as those a bit further down in Chinatown), but they somewhat make up for it in overall better service/ambiance and higher quality of ingredients. On our most recent visit, we ordered the XO rice rolls and it was tasty and slightly spicy, but a little dryer than we'd like. The ha gow (steamed shrimp dumplings) were well flavored and the shrimp was nicely cooked. My toddlers enjoyed their signature BBQ pork buns with the crispy exterior. Their lo mai gai (lotus leaf sticky rice) was big enough to share with two toddlers and adults for a small bite each; I liked that it had huge chunks of chicken. Service (4/5): Servers are always attentive, friendly and quick to serve you. They're also super nice to my kids. Great job, management! I know we'll come again, as we have many times when we're looking for a nicer place to have dimsum.

Tim Ho Wan sits on the casino floor at the Palms, which is not a sentence that inspires confidence when you're talking about dim sum. And yet. The food is genuinely decent, better than it has any right to be given its surroundings. The baked pork bun is the headliner, and for good reason. The original Hong Kong location reportedly earned a Michelin star on the back of it, and after one bite you can see why. It's worth ordering. The rest of the menu is solid across the board. Nothing else jumped out as a must-have, but everything we had was well prepared and nothing disappointed. That's a reasonable ask for dim sum inside a casino in Las Vegas, and they cleared it. If you're staying at the Palms and have hotel credit, this is an easy call. Even without it, I'd come back.

Had a girl's night out before a concert so decided to try Tim Ho Wan to experience their dim sum. Parking is free at the Palm's so go and get some, they even take to go orders too. We had a dinner reservation, so for Sunday evening they were quite busy. We were seated within 5-10 minutes. Dining area is nice, modern, and inviting. Our waitress was friendly and she brought water and hot chrysanthemum tea. We ordered a few of the staples like the bbq pork buns, noodles, the wagyu rice balls, har gaw, shomai, and spicy cucumber. All items were tasty sweet, salty, and spicy. The chili sauce and soy sauce helped enhance their flavors. I've had dim sum before, but the flavors here are above the rest. Everything we ate was hot and fresh, I highly recommend it. The bbq pork buns were amazingly delicious as well as the lava sesame balls! My compliments to all the staff and the chefs as we enjoyed our dinner and it was the highlight of the evening, excellent food quality and service thanks!

I love a good dimsum. Traditionally they are pushing a cart around with items and you choose what you want while they circulate. This place is different. You order from the menu and they bring it out.. The service was nice I sat at the bar alone. The place is very clean and welcoming. This is in a casino so a bit over priced for what you receive.. very overpriced if I'm being honest. There are other options in the city a fraction of the cost with more variety and quality. I tried them due to convenience, I enjoyed what I had. I will not be back due to value.

First review of 2026! Exactly what I needed Sunday morning after a late night and before heading to the airport. In the Palms the ambiance is very upscale. There was no wait at 11:30am for 2 people. No carts but you order on a paper. The stands out were scallop and truffle siu mai and the shrimp noodle. There was shrimp in every bite versus a few shrimps and mostly noodle. So good.

Sesame balls with custard filling - wow!

Brought out-of-town guests here for a late lunch on Memorial Day weekend and further convinced us that this Tim Ho Wan restaurant is excellent. Limited menu items but a lot of the dimsum and other dishes are exceptionally good. We ordered too much! Service was quick and efficient. Even with the loud music from the casino floor, lunch was pleasant, allowing us to have a good conversation.

Pork and Shrimp Siu Mai (5/5): The absolute highlight of the meal and easily one of the best versions of this classic dish available. The order comes with four enormous pieces that taste incredibly fresh, with every single bite packed to the brim with juicy, distinct chunks of real shrimp and pork. Bean Curd Skin Roll (5/5): Another standout favorite of the visit. The dish includes three large rolls cut cleanly in half, packed with incredibly juicy meat filling. It's especially delicious when you ladle the savory sauce from the bottom of the plate over each bite. Cream Egg Yolk Bun (5/5): A dessert that tastes like a cross between an egg tart and a sweet pineapple bun. The sweet egg yolk cream center is warm and exceptionally gooey, so you'll want to take your first bite carefully to prevent the runny filling from splattering. Salt and Pepper Squid (4/5): A very clean, airy, and crispy appetizer that shows zero signs of being fried in old kitchen oil. While the batter leans a bit light on the expected salt and savory seasoning, the abundance of thinly sliced fresh jalapeno peppers added a spicy kick. Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf (4/5): A very solid, comforting option with excellent overall flavor throughout the rice, though the savory meat filling hidden inside the center felt a little sparse. Beef Tripe with Ginger and Scallion (4/5): A dim sum staple featuring an incredibly delicious, gingery sauce and great savory flavor. Beef Congee (4/5): We ordered the medium-sized bowl, which easily yielded at least 4 smaller bowls of congee, making it a perfect shared carb to round out the meal. It had a comforting consistency with a subtle note of ginger, though it personally sits just below a traditional preserved egg and pork style for me. Logistics Tip: Arriving around noon on the weekend means encountering a packed house, but the staff moves the crowd efficiently and gets tables turned over in short order. You place your order by marking your selections directly onto a paper slip, and the kitchen sends items out to your table as soon as they're ready, meaning dishes will arrive in a random, staggered flow throughout your dining experience.

We ordered mostly dim sum and put a few orders for some noodle dish. Didn't realized that dim sum is over at 3pm but restaurant is open until 10pm have we known we would have taken our money and family elsewhere. I think some of the dim sums they serves us were all left overs and they had to microwaved some because my husband witness a server doing so at the service station which is not right because when my husband came in to ask for a table at like 2pm they should have said they were running of a lot of things because dim sum is over at 3 but yet they told him they could accommodate our party. Dim sum that came out was not good,Hacao and the bbq steam bun was all breaking apart, parents got chicken feet and they said it was bland, service was terrible!!! The waiter didn't check in on us not even once, our waters were empty and food that did came out way too long like 5-15 mins intervals. The noodle dishes we order never came out because the waiter never put it in so we were all staring at each other for like 30 mins w no food.Server guy was the one w the spiky hair he is very unprofessional never greeted us and he wasn't very friendly, asked him twice for water and it took him a minute to get someone to bring us waters. The chili oil is disgusting it tasted like curry which we never ever had at any dim sum place ever! Ambiance??? zero star, It's DIRTY! upon observing the area where the servers and bussers go I noticed that it's not very sanitary there was dirty rags w the clean dishes and dirty dishes w the clean dishes as well. I'm also pretty sure I got marked on the dim sum stamp thing for something we never got so pay close attention because those ladies are so quick and rushing to stamp and charge you but very little food made it to the table. Paid close to $300 and they have the audacity to include the auto grat when they didn't do crap service was zero. Everyone left still starving because at that point we were not gonna wait another 20mins for them to cook the noodles that we order 30+ mins ago. Never again! We do not suggest going to this place at all your way better off at orchid garden or Hong Kong dim sum cafe. Also the servers were all bum rushing the food that came out for them at like 3pm while people was still eating at the dining room they all sat down down around us and ate while we were all seating there waiting for some food that we never got. I regret so much bringing my family to this place it's not worth it, parking also sucks here because it's shared parking so it's limited also if you want a clean place to eat definitely not this one such a disappointment! Going to definitely reached out to health department about our experience because we saw al lot of health violations.I honestly don't get why people is giving this pace a 5 star, like look around? I get it's down the street from strip but drive a few block or miles and you will find better food and service 100%.

Today was a bit of a mixed bag.... A large number of carts , but not the variety we've had before. With that said, we still ate a lot and left filled with a couple items packed to go. So we got hargow, seimai char char su bao, congee, et etc. quality was good, food was hot and the price was right. We waited and waited for a couple items that showed up when we were almost ready to leave. I don't know if it's accepted here, to get up and hi jack s cart lady when you see something across the room or on the counter, but it's ok some places. They do offer a military discount which is a rarity in dim sum places. They also do an automatic 16% service charge for parties of 4 or more. I think that's a pretty good idea since many people don't tip or only tip a couple of bucks per person. I think they used to have a sign indicating the service charge, . Some people who don't look at their bill may tip the standard 20-25% when they get the slip, which is obviously good for the staff. All in all another good meal, certainly different though from palette tea lounge.

Custard tarts are now only bite size but price was not lowered. Siomai are good. The restaurant was full of customers and service was good.

Finding the Real Deal: Dim Sumlicious is the Authentic Yum Cha Las Vegas Has Been Missing…read moreLas Vegas has no shortage of Chinese restaurants, but anyone who's grown up going to yum cha knows the difference between dim sum done right and dim sum done for tourists. I've been on a quiet, slightly obsessive hunt across this city for the genuine article -- the kind of Sunday morning experience that transports you straight to a bustling Hong Kong tea house. And friends, I found it. It's called Dim Sumlicious, and the name does not lie. The moment the first bamboo basket hit our table, I knew this was different. Dim Sumlicious has a chef with over 30 years of experience honing his craft in Hong Kong, and it shows in every single bite. This isn't the frozen-and-steamed shortcut situation you'll find at so many spots around town. These are handmade, skillfully executed classics that carry the weight of real tradition behind them. The har gow wrappers had that perfect translucent delicacy -- thin enough to see through, sturdy enough to hold. The siu mai were plump and properly seasoned. The char siu bao, both baked and steamed, hit every note I was hoping for. Cart after cart brought something worth ordering, and nothing disappointed. But beyond the food, what struck me about Dim Sumlicious was the atmosphere of care. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely hospitable -- a rarity in a city where restaurants can feel like they're processing customers on a conveyor belt. If you're a dim sum devotee who's been settling for "pretty good," your search is over. Dim Sumlicious is the real deal -- no asterisks, no caveats. Make a reservation, bring the whole family, and go hungry. Las Vegas finally has its yum cha moment. Don't sleep on it.
