This is my second time at this location. The family is super sweet. I ordered the chow mein with pork and fried rice. I guess I was expecting fried noodles with cabbage and pork, like I would if i ordered from panda express. Perhaps it is my ignorance. Initially I did want to go to Panda express, but decided not to because I thought " why not just invest in to the small business near me." When placing my order I was told, it was no longer on the lunch menu. Get there the family is just as nice as I remembered. The food was piping hot. The total for the chow mein pork with fried rice ran me about 15 dollars. Which is on the expensive side for me and also the same experience I had the first time and was thrown off. Considering inflation, I truly did not expect to pay more than 12 dollars (not including tip) for a meal for 1 person. Considering I paid 15 dollars for a meal for 1. There was no condiments in the bag. The food itself was decent, but was not the exact taste I was looking for in my personal opinion. It's definitely somewhere I would say try once to see if you like it and ask the price for everything when you order. read more

I frequent this place for take out lunch. One of the best in the area. Small family-run take out only with small open kitchen behind the counter. My standard order is the szechuan chicken. Meat and vegetables taste fresh. Sauce seems lighter yet zesty and flavorful. Not like the thick mystery brown sauce you get at some chinese takeouts. Highly recommended! read more

This little Chinese take out place is a hidden gem. Family run & you can tell. I can't believe that they have been just a short bike ride from my house and I haven't tried them until recently. Everything on the menu is fresh and good quality, and it is never more than a 30 min wait to get your food. It is a carry out place, so don't plan to dine in. This is the best Chinese takeout in the area. The 4 dishes we ordered (see photos) were great, way above par for a takeout only joint. The sauces were light and flavorful, not the typical over sweetened syrup goo.The kitchen is out in the open and you can see that is clean. Unfortunately they don't have delivery. read more

I stopped by this place and thought it looked like a nice place for take out. The waiting area is comfortable and the service was quick. Regrettably, the moo goo gai pan was inedible. At least the chicken was. It had an odd taste and odor. The texture was chewy and even though the color was ok, I wondered if it'd been thoroughly cooked. Maybe they do other items on the menu well, but I'd steer clear if I were you. The rice and veggies were good. read more

While the location was convent to our home, (FYI they only do take out) we will not return unless in dire straights. First off, we ordered sweet and sour chicken. The chicken was over fried. The sweet and sour sauce while "ok" was less than what one would expect. The egg drop soup had absolutely NO taste. Granted egg drop soup is usually a bit "neutral" tasting anyway but theirs was like eating paper. I ended up giving it to our dogs with their dry food. The fried rice was overlooked AND pretty much tasteless, even though it "looked" appetizing. Egg rolls were also tasteless and over fried. Steamed dumplings were too doughy and pretty much a throwaway item for us too. While we seek out smaller locally owned restaurants for our food, we will have to pass by this location on any further "Chinese food nights" at our house. Shame as the people are nice and try to accommodate your needs/wants. read more

We read the reviews on Yelp and decided to try it. We chose General Tso's chicken and chicken lo mein. The dinners cam with fried rice, egg rolls, and wonton soup. Everything was fantastic! My husband and son are all picky eaters and they thoroughly enjoyed this food. You'll be pleasantly surprised by this place. read more

Moved here from DC and hadnt found a good Chinese takeout until I came across this place. Plus side it's very clean

The price was fair, but I just didn't find the food to live up to the raves I was seeing here on Yelp. The chicken was rubbery and tasted a bit fishy to us. The sweet and sour chicken was over-fried and breaded. The lo mien noodles were good but again the chicken was subpar. The beef in the beef and broccoli was way too fatty and tough. The kung po tofu was decent. The hot and sour soup was ok. Lots of tofu in it. Maybe it was an off night for me, given the other stellar reviews, but I won't be returning again. read more

Family run, friendly; fresh ingredients, great spices/recipes, big menu, ample portions. They seem to use less oil too in many of their dishes, compared to others. This is the best Chinese take-out only restaurant in the area. I mostly order dinner here. I highly recommend. read more

We tried this place again after reading the previous post. We used to order from here years ago, but we quit when the food quality dropped. We were happy to see that it was back to the original quality. We ordered General Tso's chicken, hot and sour soup, wonton soup, steamed dumplings and pork fried rice. General Tso's did not come with any broccoli, or any other vegetable, and the steamed dumplings were a little too heavy on the dumpling. Other than that, the food was great. I loved the peppery flavor of the hot and sour soup. The chicken in the General Tso's and the pork fried rice were also very good. read more

This Mom & Pop take out restaurant is awesome! If you like your General's Tso super spicy, the chef will make it hot or to your liking. I highly recommend the sesame chicken, it's like candy, super tasty and by far the best I've ever had. Plenty of dishes to choose from. Their dinner combos are such a good deal. The sesame chicken is my favorite--it's not like anything I have ever had before, but it's sweet and almost too sweet, but in a good way. I love it. Their wonton soup isn't bad either, which is good, and the egg rolls are really good. The family that runs it is really nice and it's good to see a family working together. The food here is delicious, but it is for takeout only. That said, it has become our go-to place for Mandarin cooking. There is no concession to fusion as at PF Changs, but just honest Chinese home cooking. Anything with the eggplant and garlic sauce is a plus. The vegetables are crisp, and the food tastes fresh. No matter how far in advance you call, you will be told 20 minutes, and then wait a bit. No matter how quirky, this food means that this Chinese girl doesn't have to cook if she wants a taste of home. Limited menu but good food. read more

love love this place!! I have been getting take-out from china master for years and they have never disappointed. I tend to always get sesame chicken (delicious....some other reviewers describe it like crunchy candy and IT IS!!). The egg drop soup has always been delicious as well. You definitely get tons of food when you order, so just know that ahead of time. It's a local family owned business and it's the only place I ever order Chinese food from. This place is a little mom and pop take out. The staff is family and they are all nice. I would recommend ordering ahead because I did a walk in order for 2 people and it took a little bit to cook. However, I was watching them cook and it is authentic Chinese food. They give you a generous portion of food for the little you pay. Food is tasty and I will defiantly come back here. BTW it has been at this location for ever so it must be good. The reason that I didn't give them 5 is because it took a little long to cook and the bathroom was a little messy, but you usually don't use the restroom at a take out place...Anyway I would overall recommend them. read more
