I can't think of a better Chinese sit-down restaurant than this one in Orlando. They have been here for decades and if you are a regular, they know you and treat you like family. The service is always great every time I have eaten here. They are always filling my cup and checking in on our table. They have an authentic Cantonese menu like Szechuan and Hunan specialties. They also offer dinner for two options, hot pot, dim sum and so much more. My go-to is the chicken and broccoli combo plate. I don't like the brown sauce, so I always ask for the white/garlic sauce instead and they always accommodate my request. The wonton soup... okay I know we are all familiar with this one ... but their version/style of this soup is DELICIOUS. So hearty and the wonton noodles are fresh and tasty if you love pork, of course ... which I do. They have a little bit of everything here from poultry, pork, beef, seafood and yes.... VEGETABLE DISHES. Bring the whole family. They have areas to accommodate big parties too!

A traditional Chinese restaurant with courteous and efficient service. We were surprised that it wasn't very busy on a Friday evening. The food was fantastic! Perfectly seasoned, large portions. Definitely recommended!

I came here alone for brunch one saturday. And the staff were friendly and it was not too crowded. Good food but not piping hot as the small crowd didn't allow enough movement of kitchen food items. I always love the green beans here and paid around $20 for the plate of green beans and shrimp and chive dumplings. The food was tasty and I'd come back when in the area.

Every time my family and I go to Lam's Garden, we are always greeted and seated right away. It is a family-style authentic Chinese restaurant with plenty of seating even on peak hours. We go here mainly for the dim sum but they also have a regular menu where you can order from the kitchen. My favorites are the fish maw soup, honey walnut shrimp, and salt & pepper calamari. Pro tip: there is plenty of parking at iFresh market next door or the back of the building if there are no spots directly at the front of the restaurant.

I love this place! It's far from me but it's the only " hole in the wall" type Chinese food I can find in Orlando, I love how they have cheap lunch specials and I love the authentic feeling inside! Everything is good here! I love the food. The egg drop soup is amazing. The service is very fast and good as well, all the servers help each other out. They have a fish tanks in the front and they have an authentic Asian grocery store next door! I love this place! I don't understand why this place has lower reviews. Doesn't deserve that.

We were vacation in Orlando during Chinese New Year 2025 - Snake year. We thought to search for a good Chinese restaurant in Orlando. We were far from home, Vancouver, BC, as we are spoiled with good Chinese restaurant with many options. We had an amazing dinner at Lam's Garden in Orlando, FL. So good! . I am happy I made reservations in advance. The service was fantastic as the staff kept apologizing for the wait of the food as it was really busy evening. When the dishes arrived, it was hot and quite tasty. The decor is typical of traditional, old style, similar to many Chinese restaurants on Kingsway in Vancouver. They old us it was nice to speak with us my hubby can speak Cantonese fluently (not me). Near the end, one of the staff (could be the owner) gave us a complimentary alcohol drink which is super nice of him. It was nice to see the receipt was hand written! Lam's Garden is the oldest Chinese restaurant in Central Florida and we were very lucky to dine at Lam's Garden on one of busiest day in the year.

This is my favorite restaurant for an authentic dim sum experience. The staff is very helpful with explaining the menu items as well. Usually pretty busy on Sunday for dim sum

I had High Hopes for this place, but it was just your run of the mill Chinese food, maybe a tad batter than some of the takeout places. The environment was a little nicer than most, but still just had that tackiness to it that made it kind of uncomfortable. Service was odd in the way that I feel we were being watched the whole time. I can't explain it, but it was just odd. I felt we were over-served in a way where as soon as you set your water glass down, someone came to refill it, even after a sip. If you're going to do that, just feed me too! The food was good. The Szechuan Chicken and Shrimp were tasty and the Orange Beef was crispy outside and tender outside. The crab Rangoons were also good, but none of it was the best we've had. I think it's a one and done for me as there are plenty of other asian restaurants in the area which are much better. For good Chinese, we'll stick with Chuan Lu Garden which isn't that far from here.

Our family has been dining here for as long as I can remember. We've celebrated wedding receptions, as well as celebrations of life, and everything in between here. This family-owned restaurant is serves authentic Cantonese-style Chinese cuisine. Today's review is about my dim sum experience. Service was attentive, and the food was delicious as usual. Lam's Garden's ambience is no-frills, and they are located in a strip mall in Coytown.

Vegetarian options are not Vegetarian. I was recommended this spot awhile back & finally went at lunch time. They have a lunch & separate dim sum menu. You can only choose 1 to puruse, so look up the menu before arriving. I did & chose the lunch menu for the Vegetarian Buddha's delite. I felt so rushed by the server, yet everything took so long & i never saw my waiter other than dropping off the messy food. They took the chopsticks away from me & gave me silverware, so i had to ask twice to have chopsticks back. The water cup i received was dirty. The food was fine. Tasted just like take out chinese. Nothing unique, flavorful, or special like other comparable restaurants in orlando. I received pork in my Buddha's delite which was the only Vegetarian dish on thd lunch menu. The table next to me ordered the same & i overheard their confusion as well. I unfortunately was there much longer than a typical lunch service. The most bizarre thibg was the staff wore black bow ties & white button ups. This spot didn't give off black tie vibes. Its decor is clean, but old & falling apart. Im glad i finally can check this off my list, but i dont see what's special. Totally fine place.

Is dim sum cart service still available? I wasn't sure if it changed due to the pandemic.

Yes, I went on the weekend and they had carts. Not sure about weekdays.

Is there vegan dim sum options?

i wouldnt count on it. A lot of items using pork fat (even in things you that may be vegetarian) and shrimp. I mean you can eat rice paste as plain. Or there's just veggies they serve but these aren't like the other popular dim sum dishes.

Is cart service offered on weekdays?

    Yes Thank you

Do they have the dim sum carts all day on Saturday and Sunday, or just during lunch?

Only lunch time from 10:30-3:00 Thank you

I was disappointed with the steamed oyster as it was well cooked but the taste overall was just not for me. Lobster was also a let down. You could tell it was frozen or not too fresh. Besides that I really loved the chee cheong fun with xo sauce and the fried shrimp balls. Maybe because we went on a Monday they didn't do the dim sum carts which I love. But then again, the restaurant isn't too big so I feel like they usually don't do the carts. But this is a way to ensure all the food you're getting is fresh though! Prices are really good for the portion and all entrees come with rice. Can't beat that. I didn't see any noodle soups on the menu but I saw on Yelp someone had a duck noodle soup so we asked if this was offered. They said they could do it. The broth and noodles were good but the duck tasted a little old. We eat a lot of duck so we're kind of picky, but I think for most people, this would be just fine. We also ordered the honey walnut shrimp, mongolian beef, and beef chow fun. The shrimps were really big, lightly battered, but they smothered the dish in that mayo sauce lol Once you wipe off some of the mayo, it's pretty good though. I loved that they served this with steamed broccoli cause greens ya know? And they offered a good amount of walnuts for that crunch. The mongolian beef was delicious and while there were a lot of onions, there was also a lot of tender beef. The flavor was good, not too sweet, not too salty, and not spicy either, despite all the dried peppers. Beef chow fun was a hit. You can really taste the smoky wok hei flavor which makes it authentic. The beef was tender, the ho fun noodles whole and intact. Paired with their chili oil, so good! The chili oil is upon request only, they don't leave it on the table. Be warned, it does have a nice heat to it!. Service was prompt and courteous. For $71, we were able to have a quick, tasty dinner for 3.5 people (3 adults, one 5 year old). Can't beat that.
