If you are in the mood for authentic Dim Sum, this place is for you. I have been eating here for many years, and it has been consistently delicious. I was able to learn more about some of the dishes when a friend of mine, who speaks Chinese helped me know what to order. I don't think I would have ever imagined the shrimp ball to be so amazing! The flavor is unique, but truly shrimp and the crispy noodles are crunchy. The steamed red roast pork buns are what you expect, sweet, savoring and delicious. The noodles are called paste and they are filled with which ever you pick. The turnip cakes are so delicious. I had no idea they would be that good. Shrimp dumplings are my favorite. Chicken feet are fun, but they are very fatty. So these were not my favorite. The custard buns are very good and the egg tarts which are not pictured, but sometimes available. The dim sum is served very traditionally on the push cart and the food you can order separately and will be served nice and hot. The service is very kind and the restaurant is always busy. Everyone is friendly but not overly nice The restaurant vibe is what you would expect from a mom and pop spot...take that as you will. For most visits we get it to go cause we live far away and we always get a bunch and literally get 2 to 3 meals out of it for our family of 4. Here is what we typically... Chicken Lo Mein - nice thin noodles, real chicken, fresh veggies Chicken Fried Rice - lots of egg and chicken and some veggies General Tso's chicken - my 8 year old's favorite - we got no spice Sui Mai - includes pork and shrimp - big and juicy Shrimp and Chive - my wife's favorite - it's just delicious Seafood dumplings - not sure all the seafood but also awesome Pan fried pork potstickers- for my older son cause he has shellfish allergies Appetizer portion of Roast duck - super tender, great flavor, crispy skin Appetizer portion of Pork Belly - it's pork belly...enough said Sesame balls - these are more of a dessert, not overly sweet but a nice finish to the meal Lastly we tried something new...the turnip dumplings which were small squares of turnip paste?? Been here a few times with family. I like that they open 1030 instead of 11 like the others. Their shumai here is big and juicy. Fried squid was really good. Fresh. Crispy. Flavorful. Duck was good too but we got a plate with little meat. Mostly skin and bones. The garlic snow pea tips were oddly sweet. Almost like they used sugar but meant to use salt? Egg pastry/tart was large and undercooked. Chicken feet was juicy and good flavor. Service is as it usually is at a dim sum place. They make you beg for it. Went here on a Sunday for dim sum and on weekends are pretty busy so try to come out early if you can when you walk in they make you sign on this sheet by the door with how many in your party then like a few minutes later they call you and seat you at a table. They go around with a cart and you choose what dishes you want and they mark it on the paper. First time checking out this location. The parking was a bit tight since it was a Friday night. It was packed everywhere in the area of the restaurant. Once I made it inside, I just sat at an empty table. One of the employees walked up and asked what we wanted to drink. I ordered hot green tea and they gave me jasmine tea. I really wanted green tea. I even asked if they had it, and she said yes. So, I just sipped on the jasmine. Next, the inside is a bit dull in decor, but some of the table's center pieces spun to share plates in large group settings. I ordered dim sum of course. Before I begin, I have a huge recommendation for the establishment. Please list items accurately within your food. For example, you list a chive dumpling, but instead, it's shrimp and chives. I am allergic to shrimp, so bitting into a chive dumpling then it turning up being a whole shrimp, was shocking. I am not upset, but if I was someone who didn't have slow allergy reactions, I could've had an anaphylaxis reaction. My table ordered 4 things to try out. Beef Rice Paste : The sweet soy goes amazing with this. It was well prepared and had a nice sweet and savory flavor mix. Pan-fried Chive Dumpling: It is not only chives. The outside was nicely crisp and tasty, but the inside did not have chives only. It has a whole shrimp inside of it. I had to spit it out immediately, so I didn't have a bad reaction. Spicy Chicken Feet: It was not spicy at all, and I was surprised. It was actually bland in flavor, like having a old fashion donut compared to an iced donut. Pork Dumplings: Perfectly crisp on the outside and the pork was tender and tasty. I would definitely recommend this one. They give you a lot of meat. This is my first time going to dim sum! I have always wanted to try it and it's so satisfying seeing them come with all your dishes on the cart and seeing everyone else's! The staff here were kind but the decor was lacking a bit. I ordered Hot Tea to start and it was good. They gave us cute little cups and a big teapot. We got the Spicy Chicken Feet which I was scared to try but honestly it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Wasn't spicy at all though. The Chive Dumplings were amazing, very flavorful and good dumpling texture. I've always wanted to try Rice Rolls and we got the Beef paste ones. These were so good! The sweet soy sauce they put on top goes perfectly with them. Lastly we got Pork Dumplings, wow these were stuffed with meat! The dumpling wrappers they use here are so good and chewy! Came here with a coworker for lunch. I have never had dim sum, so at first glance, the menu options were different from any Chinese restaurant I had been to before. (Chicken feet, shark fin dumplings, beef tripe...etc.) I decided to pick a lunch item I was familiar with and try a couple of my friends dim sum items to stay on the safe side, but everything was good. The chicken fried rice was delicious and did not need anything. I also tried the general tso chicken and sesame chicken and both were very good. After I was able to secure parking - behind the building (its tight) we walked down and around the corner to find the front entrance. Note: there is street parking available however it is questionable and there is building construction happening in the area. if you are use to Dim Sum they do have cart service however the selection is limited and do not have all the accompanying sauces. It was a Wednesday, but they still offered some dim sum items like the shumai, shrimp balls, and dumplings. I love dim sum, so I was excited to have a few of my favorite items. Expect to atleast wait maximum of 45 minutes to an hour unless you get lucky. This used to be our go to for dim sum years ago(pre pandemic). It's been some time since we have been here since we no longer live as close. But it was worth the drive. We came in on a Tuesday at 1130ish for dim sum. Surprisingly for a week day the place had several tables sat already. We where greeted right away and pointed a table to go through. The server came over immediately to take our drink order and give us menus. The tea cups were sticky so I asked for different ones our server looked a bit annoyed. I now this is common from the cleaning process the bleach eats at the coating over the paint on plastic so any plastic items in time become like this. The chop sticks where starting to have the same thing happened but I didn't say anything since I could tell she was already annoyed. She brought us ceramic or China cups which where perfect. We ordered a couple items from the regular menu and some from the dim sum menu. (Item descriptions in pictures) We ordered way to much as usual so we have another meal for two we took home. Which makes it a great value. Everything came out quickly as it was finished cooking. It all tasted as great as we remember. The place still looks the same could definitely use an update. Some fresh paint since the paint is chipping all over the place and probably some new flooring would do wonders for the place. I'm from NYC and our Dim Sum is better. An example, the char shu bows, in NYC the pork is diced into chunks and the sauce is closer to a char shu sauce. Here the pork is like a paste and the sauce doesn't have much flavor. The Har Gaw wrappers were falling off the shrimp filling. I'm not saying that Mings is bad but it does not measure up to NYC Dim Sum. For Florida it's good and I will be back when visiting the Sunshine State, As for decor, it is a nice place. A fantastic place for authentic dim sum! I did takeaway but while I was waiting for my food, my mouth was watering at all the carts of food being pushed past me. The siu mai at Ming's is absolutely insane, I've never had such delicious and hefty siu mai...this includes dim sum places that I've been to in LA, New York, and Taiwan! The fried shrimp balls were amazing as well, still crunchy when I got home 30 minutes later. I visited on a Saturday a little after noon and they were completely full on tables but my takeaway order took only about 20minutes. Service with the cashiers was good and the prices were very good. I came here with my husband on a weekday. I checked the Yelp reviews and decided to try this place out because of their dim sum menu. There was only one other family in the restaurant when we sat down. I noticed it was a slow day so majority of the workers were just hanging out and eating. It wasn't until I saw our waitress eating food from the kitchen, didn't wash her hands, and brought us our food. Many of the workers ate food from the kitchen and didn't think to wash their hands. I also noticed one of the workers eating and then handling the food without washing his hands. From that point, I wanted to walk out because of how disgusted I was. I have been going to Ming's Bistro for years now...but most recently realized that I haven't been back in a while. So for Mother's Day, we decided to take my mom here for dinner as she was craving dim sum. Now usually, dim sum is served at most restaurants during lunch time but this place is one of the few places that serve it all day. You would just have to order it off a menu during dinner time rather than them pushing it around in a cart. Now myself personally, I find that the quality is much better when you come during dinner time for dim sum. Since when you order it off the menu it comes out hot and fresh. Usually, when you come for lunch and they push around their traditional carts, the quality is still good but it sometimes isn't quite as hot when it gets to your table. Now this time around we went a little bit overboard and definitely ate with our eyes. We ordered so many dim sum items like the stuffed eggplant, siu mai, pan fried chive dumpling, and fried shrimp ball just to name a few. We also order a la cart off the menu... and got the ma po tofu, beef chow fun, and seafood noodle soup. I must say that there was not one thing at all that disappointed. The dishes that truly stood out were the char siu (honey bbq pork) and the chive dumpling which were both oh sooo good... I'm drooling right now just thinking about them. For the restaurant itself, it is a bit outdated on the inside. For as long as I can remember... they've had the same furniture from when I first started coming here years ago. Now me personally it doesn't bother me.. and I would like to throw it out there... that looks could definitely be deceiving because the food makes up for it. Now the service is definitely a working progress lol. There is a common understanding that when you go to a dim sum restaurant... the dim sum ladies taking your order are going to be a bit pushy, sometimes even coming off a bit rude. That is just something that comes with the territory. Since I am use to that type of atmosphere I don't really bat an eye towards it... but for someone who is trying dim sum for the first time at this restaurant.. they might find it a little bit off putting. Oh how I love dim sum, and Ming's Bistro is a nice option. The restaurant is not a huge, overly crowded, and excessively loud dim sum house that you typically find in a large city. Instead, the modest dining room has a limited number of large family-style round tables and more four-top sized tables. We dined on Sunday morning, and learned you pre-order on a paper menu instead of selecting items from passing carts. After marking the items you want, they bring a cart and complete your order from it. I believe they only do the paper menu ordering on Sunday's, and I actually liked the format. Our order was filled promptly and everything was steaming hot. While I missed seeing the meandering carts the trade-off was fine. The dim sum was above average. I thought the traditional dumplings (haw gow, sum mai, and shark fin dumplings, ) were on point. My favorite items were the shrimp stuffed eggplant, bean curd skin with pork, and the sticky rice. Each were prepared nicely and tasted great. The pork ribs with black bean were also good. My least favorite were the gai lan (too many thick stems), and beef short ribs with black pepper (nice flavor, but the meat was too chewy). To finish our lunch the sesame seed balls were good. The red bean paste had the right sweetness. This was plenty of food for our party of three, and the bill came to about $60 with tip. Definitely enjoyed our experience, and recommend. read more

Things always get a little steamy at Dim Sum! This review is strictly for the dim sum as we did not order off of the regular menu. Recently rolled up here on a weekend for some much needed comfort food and so glad that I did! I was visiting Orlando of course for the usual touristy things but made the conscious choice to have a non-Disney meal (or 2 or 3). Because of all the newly opened spots...parking in the area is definitely premium...but we got lucky and snagged a parking spot in a neighboring plaza. We were seated almost immediately since it was just my friend and I. Wait staff asked us what we wanted to drink and we ordered hot tea, which was brought out promptly. This is a no frills kind of place with efficient staff and fairly solid tasty eats! Definitely a neighborhood spot and reminds me of Chinatown restaurants in Chicago I've been to. Meaning I'm not coming here for ambiance or stellar service but know that the food I order will taste good. This place is great for all size parties as they did have many large tables. As we were there, the restaurant started to fill up pretty quick and there was definitely a wait for larger parties. There are 2 dim sum carts that come around...one with the steamed items and one with all the other non steam items...think fried items, meats, desserts, etc. They offer a picture menu so you can ask for specific items or simply point to items on either cart. Everything tasted very fresh. We had Shu mai, beef balls, pork spare ribs in black bean sauce, taro dumpling, Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce, and a shrimp funn roll.
