Tasty Wok has THE BEST roast duck and roast pork in Orlando, period. I've tried so many other places and no one else compares. Duck and pork have less fat and more meat, and is almost half the price of the popular market down the street. The meat on both is flavorful and reheats beautifully. Doesn't require any preordering. The family that owns Tasty Wok is so nice, I wish this place was more packed, the food here absolutely deserves it.

Okay, I'm definitely coming here when I'm in the area. My friend ordered some of the best house special friend rice I've tasted in a long time! The shrimp was cooked perfectly, which is a rare thing at most restaurants. We also had the pork appetizer which was superb with a splash of soy sauce. I had the chicken, pork, and crispy pork belly combo. It was wonderful as well. They've got a new customer for sure!

Tasty wok is a Mills OG. On top of being the BEST Chinese food (maybe just duck and crispy pork heh) in town, I really encourage everyone to patronize their place to fight the gentrification rampant in what used to be our "Vietnamtown." We got duck, crispy pork, scallion pancakes, snow pea tips, salt and pepper squid and the pork. All 10/10. No notes. Service isn't always with a smile and that's how you know it's going to be good food and they always have space for my big family (two tables of 8 and kids running around).

Came by for dinner the other night and it was a tasty experience. Tasty Wok is located on the main strip of Mills50. The restaurant seems to be Vietnamese-Chinese focusing on roast meats. Parking is available in the private lot or surface streets around the restaurant. Staff were cordial and the restaurant was empty during my Friday evening visit. Started off with the garlic pea sprouts and it was a gigantic portion with plenty of garlic. Moved on to the bo kho beef stew and it was very fragrant and tender. There were plenty of fatty pieces, including tendons. I loved how there wasn't any fillers like daikon! ~$35/head after tax and gratuity for dinner with plenty of leftovers for another meal!

Ordered out tonight. One of the better seafood pan fried noodles. Noodles came packed separately so they were still crispy. Large court filled with fish fillet, shrimp, scallops, cuttle fish and greens. A generous portion comparatively. The veggie egg roll was also tasty.

I don't know how to describe this food as anything other than absolutely comforting. Everything was piping hot and delicious, with generous portion sizes. Our soups - Egg Drop and Hot & Sour - were rich and thick. The Beef Chow Fun was flavorful and perfectly chewy. Amidst the numerous Instagram-trending spots that have popped up in the area, it's a breath of fresh air to walk into mom-and-pop restaurant that has been holding it down for literally decades on East Colonial!!

Food here IS tasty. The aervice qas qick too. The testaurant itself is nothing special but it was clean and the servers clean tables quickly. I have been here before and will return as this place has not disappointed. Oh, forgot to mention, the portions are very nice and I have enough for lunch tomorrow

Everything was great. The roasted duck, crispy pork, soy sauce chicken, char sui, snow pea tips with garlic, salt and pepper ribs, dumpling noodle soup, mince pork with eggplant, chicken wings, scallion pancakes, kung pao chicken. All really great excellent choices.

Lunch in our last day in Orlando. If we had known of this place sooner we would have been here at least twice. Not much to look at inside, some posters taped to the walls, on a busy street. We made the mistake of parking on the street, which was like avoiding oncoming traffic from stripping off the drivers door. But, the food was excellent and the staff, including the owner were extremely accommodating. We ordered two lobsters in lobster sauce, which plenty tasty, a lb of roast pig, sweet and sour pork chops, seafood lo mein and pea pod tips cooked w garlic. All excellent choices, came with white rice and my son ordered egg drop soup. The party of five loved the food and the owner was checking in on us during the meal. Will definitely come again, but parking the lot behind the bldg.

Food here is great. Slightly expensive, but not terrible. I come here pretty frequently with family. The service isn't exceptional but the dishes make up for it in my opinion.

Not always consistent. Last time tried the pork, and it was pretty good. This time, though, got the soy sauce chicken, and it was just okay. It was a bit dry and lacked flavor, like it had been refrigerated

    Is there MSG used?

Why do you care? The war against MSG is anti-Asian propaganda. And ridiculous. (Unless you have an actual allergy)

Is this the same restaurant that's on the corner of Shine and Colonial Dr, across of Publix, and a door away to Saigon Market? I've moved away and discovered the old location has closed. And did a Yelp search, and saw "another" tasty wok restaurant.

Yup, its the same. They have expanded.

Are they open? I've been trying to call and place order but no answer.

Can the local regular customers post some pictures of the menu? Last ones I saw were from 2017. Thanks in advance.

Besides that I really loved the chee cheong fun with xo sauce and the fried shrimp balls. Maybe because we went on a Monday they didn't do the dim sum carts which I love. But then again, the restaurant isn't too big so I feel like they usually don't do the carts. But this is a way to ensure all the food you're getting is fresh though! I do wish the dim sum menu was a little more varied. I feel like a few staples that I normally gravitate towards weren't there. But there was still enough to have a good filling meal.

We waited 15 more minutes (20 minutes from being seated) and we flagged down a server to take our order. Another party got tired of waiting and just left. The restaurant was only 30% full so there was no excuse for this. However the food came out in about 12 minutes after ordering which is not bad. The food was delicious! We got the house knife cut noodles, pan fried Peking duck buns, and the bok choy with garlic. Everything was excellent. The noodles were so tasty with the beef being the best. The boiled egg is a little odd but it was still good. The Peking duck buns were so good! I am convinced that the only reason this place is still in business is because the food is so good that it offsets the terrible service If you have a lot of time and don't mind waiting for your food. I definitely recommend trying this place. Other people had better luck with the service but I saw at least one other person say that the service was bad. The food is 5 star but the service is 2 star so I gave it a 4 overall.

They often get mentioned in local periodical awards, so I've been meaning to stop by here for a while now. Finally, I had my opportunity. We arrive right when they open, get seated, and get some nice oolong tea brewing while the ladies with the carts stock up and start tantalizing us with their scrumptious dim sum. Fried shrimp, dumplings, shumai, ribs, buns, and my absolute favorite, sticky rice. It all just came flying one after another after another, and it makes life so much better when you can share these delectable little treats with a table full of people. Eating more of one thing means you don't get to try as many things. That's no good. So we came, we saw, we conquered. Ambiance was the nice, stereotypical American Chinese tranquility. I had heard great things about it and hadn't gotten the chance to go until recently. This is mostly because they're located in Windermere, which is a bit aways from most of Orlando. It was chosen as the dinner location for a work dinner for Asian American Heritage Month. May might be over, but Asian food is forever. It's in a very cute location with shops around and ample of parking. They had tables set aside for us and they have a full menu as well as the dim sum menu, which you mark how many of an item you want. Family style dining as is most Asian dining. The interior is super nice and it does feel upscale. They have large tables and some smaller ones but it's not a huge restaurant space. This means the meals feel very cozy and intimate. We got the squid ink shrimp dumplings and regular shrimp dumplings. They were both a 9/10. I will say that squid ink anything does not add to the flavor, just the color of the food. Squid ink is slightly more expensive. The shumai was a 9/10. By the way the dumplings were huge and about 4 pieces per order. We tried the curry fish balls, which essentially is fish balls like the ones you get at hot pot cooked in a yellow curry. It was my first time trying this and I thought it was just ok. This was a 5.5/10. Some ordered beef and broccoli for the table and it was delicious. Definitely a large dish to be shared. That was an 8.5/10. We tried their wonton soup which came with noodles and bok chop. This was an 8/10. The fried shrimp balls were excellent and is a 9/10 for me. Normally, I think they are either too savory or oily. However, these ones had great crips and really well balanced flavor. We tried my favorite dim sum dish, which is the rice rolls with shrimp. This was a 6/10 for me. It just wasn't my favorite one that I have had. We also tried the mango custard bun, which was a 8/10. Overall, I would give them a 8/10. It is a little on the more pensive end for dim sum but the atmosphere is nice and service is pretty good. I love dumplings. I could eat dumplings any day, all day. It truly is one of those things I would have as a part of my last meal on Earth.
