We were driving through Clio and found China Moon on a Google search for Chinese Food. It had over 300 reviews and a 4 star average. We should have checked Yelp instead, we were disappointed. The cashier was not friendly and the food was not good. The fried rice was strange, unlike anything I've had before. The food was very sweet and saucy. Generals was not good. Fried rice was not good. It was quick and cheap. Not going to try it again.

Since changing owners, the food quality have gone way down. The last 2 times I went there the food has absolutely no flavor. The fried wontons were microwave heated , soggy with cold centers. The vegetable soup was just a ton of raw broccoli and hot water. The seafood soup was a bunch of imitation crab that tasted like it was freezer burned and again, just hot water as the soup.... it was gross!... If you're looking for a okay restaurant for any type of fried rice or egg rolls / spring roll then I suggest China moon but I would not recommend the sesame chicken especially near the end of the day because it might look very dry and then you could end up with a severe case of food poisoning turning into something more severe. Which is kind of disappointing especially if you want Chinese food maybe not get it from here :( read more

Tonight we placed an order for General Tso Chicken and Sesame Chicken along with 2 extra egg rolls. After ordering we were simply told, "It will be ready in 15-20 mins. No total, no order confirmation. My daughter picked the order up and returned home with only the extra egg rolls and General Tso Chicken. When I called the restaurant I was told I didn't order the sesame chicken. I reiterated I did and that my husband and daughter heard me. His response was, "i must not have heard you" followed by silence. Finally I asked how he was going to make it right, he told me, "I can't do that". I asked, "Do what? Make it right?" and he responded, "No i can't do that". So first he blames me by saying I didn't order the Sesame chicken, when I did. Then he told me it was my fault because I should have known two meals would have cost more. I reminded him he didn't quote me a price and my 20 year old daughter, who doesn't really know better, picked the food up. Next I was told it was my fault because I should have told him when he read the order back, which he never did and I told him that. It was all my fault. He doesn't make mistakes, apparently. I explained this was a huge inconvenience and we only had one meal to feed three people now. He wasn't moved. By this point I was frustrated and noticed we didn't even get sauce with our egg rolls. When I asked about that he said there is no sauce for egg rolls, which of course is not true. I will never return. Ever. read more

I gave it one star because I had to to leave a review. Some of the worst Chinese style food have ever tried to eat. Don't bother with the hot and sour soup, crab cheese Rangoon (burn grease). Mongolian beef, mostly onions. The only thing that was good was the white rice. read more

This place is just so so in my book. The customer service is horrible. The food on a scale of 1 - 10 is a 4 maybe. It is bland with no real flavor. The girl at the counter didn't even offer any sides or tell us about any specials or anything, we just got a blank stare as if we had been there before and should know what we want. My family and I will not be going here again. I would rather pay more to go to a place that at least offers good service and treats you like a guest. Well I have received very nice meals from this place for about a year and a half. I got home from a take out order one day to find i was missing 2 egg rolls and one of the meals was short not only the peanuts it was supposed to get, but the extra i paid for. The lady got very irrate with me like it was my fault. I was reading off the receipt as we talked. I told her how long I have been going there and not going to Oriental Express. She told me to start going there instead. lol Well just a heads up I would rather go to the Mexican lady at Oriental Express, because she has the best customer service and not rude. read more

I have searched online for a recipe for authentic Szechuan chicken fried rice recipe that matches the contents and flavor of the Sweet and Sour Chicken with chicken fried rice I purchased on Mothers Day. I found none, which is exactly what was in the rice we received with our meals. The rice was orange and nothing else added to the dry, hard tasteless product which was garnished with a thumbnail sized piece of fried egg. It was so nasty that it stuck in the passage way going into my stomach. The chicken was another story, tiny little pieces of chicken which appeared larger due to the bloated batter. The chicken was moist and lacked flavor. We also ordered Pork Foo Young which was nothing but egg, pork and lots of white onions. I think this was the best of the dinners we purchased. The business itself showed people had been there prior to me because the empty restaurant had dirty tables and pieces of paper from straws or napkins were quite prevalent around two tables. The young counter girl spent her free time on her smart phone. These meals did not impress me at all and neither did the staff or the appearance of the place. We haven't eaten there since our first two trips shortly after the business opened and China Moon is on our list of places to not go to again. I gave it two stars because I did eat the so-so "Egg Foo Young" and because it is located within two miles of my home. read more

Have ate here since the opening of the restaraunt, but was dumbfounded one day after ordering a lunch combo, i went home and drank my pop, oddly noticing i wasnt getting any liquid through the straw.
