Boy, I haven't been here for over 10 years. I use to love this place. Came here every Friday! Now, not so much because I moved away. They don't have this kind of Chinese food in Waterford or the local area. This food is very good! Anyways, a little history, I visited here about 5 years ago and the food was terrible. The chicken was rubbery like the Chinese buffet! Wow. It was bad 5 years ago. Maybe new owner? Today, 2021, I Recently visit and everything was good again. What? I think there was a change in cook or management, because today, the chicken tasted very good like 10 years ago. To sum it up, it was good 10 years ago, 5 years ago it was bad. Now, it's good again. Glad to see they are still in business! Awesome Chinese food in town! Unbeatable! Best! I know Chinese food, my uncles owned about 10+ Chinese restaurant in Michigan. Hands down Highly recommend! Hint: try the "schezwan chicken"!

Sooo...this is definitely NOT chicken, but doesn't taste like pork or beef either...

Sweet baby geezus. Thought I'd try a new Chinese take out spot for a change. Certainly leaned my lesson. I ordered the almond chicken and general tso combos to share. The first bite made it clear that the cook LOVES salt. It is waaay too salty. For the record, I'm a girl who loves a good deep fried/salty/blood pressure-raising meal. But I can't taste the actual food because of the salt content. Then I looked at the meat I'd diced up. I don't know what this is, but it ain't chicken. (See photo) Besides LOOKING like not-chicken, it doesn't even TASTE like chicken. But since the food is basically doused with salt, I can't really figure out what kind of meat it is. Maybe that's why China One uses so much salt - so that we won't notice how bad the recipes are? Two stars for pretty packaging and clean restaurant. You're welcome.

Cheap, fast, and the flavor is there. The chicken and broccoli is bomb. Mongolian beef is solid. Sweet and sour chicken is on point.

Maybe 3.5 stars. The first bite had a sharp flavor note that I didn't care for, but it wasn't noticeable after that bite. The broccoli was fresh and had a decent texture. I almost ordered the Hong Kong Low Mein, but decided against it as the current price seemed high for noodles, but my partner ended up getting it and I am so glad I didn't order it. There is an absolute ton of it, but the oil is strange, the noodles are strange, and there aren't many things in it, just a gigantic heap of strangely greasy noodles. We also got Hot and Sour Soup which was more like a very thick Hot and Sweet Stew with corn(?) and a LOT of bamboo. It took lime juice and soy to be edible. I don't write reviews often, but this is the weirdest Chinese food I've ever eaten anywhere. Maybe it's the Hong Kong factor or maybe the family that inherited it just have their way of doing things. I would not order from this restaurant again. There's better delivery-grade Chinese to be had in Oak Park/Ferndale and beyond.

Almost $190.00 for 2 mocktails, 2 appetizers (as meals) Miso soup, a sushi burrito and 3 rolls one of those was just a tuna roll also - it was exxxxpennnnsive...and just 'okay'. The lettuce wraps were mostly carrots and had little flavor, same with the soup. It all seemed like it just needed 'a little something extra' to make it pop! It was also incredibly dark inside the restaurant as well. It gave a very moody/broody vibe which might be cool for a date-night, but it makes it a tad difficult to read a menu. Our waitress was a gem though! She was quick, polite and very attentive!

It's rare to find a spot that stays this consistent, but Inyo really does. The sushi is always incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. Whether I'm going for classic rolls or trying one of their specialty creations, everything tastes thoughtfully made and high quality. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. The atmosphere is another reason I keep coming back. It's modern, clean, and has that perfect balance of chill and lively. Great for a casual dinner, date night, or meeting up with friends. The staff has always been friendly and welcoming, and the service is consistently on point. There's just something about Inyo that keeps it at the top of my list. When I'm craving sushi, this is the place I trust every time. So many years later, and it's still a go-to. That says everything.
