Inyo Sushi has been one of my absolute favorites since the day they first opened -- and years later, they're still just as amazing. It's rare to find a spot that stays this consistent, but Inyo really does. The sushi is always incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. Whether I'm going for classic rolls or trying one of their specialty creations, everything tastes thoughtfully made and high quality. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. The atmosphere is another reason I keep coming back. It's modern, clean, and has that perfect balance of chill and lively. Great for a casual dinner, date night, or meeting up with friends. The staff has always been friendly and welcoming, and the service is consistently on point. There's just something about Inyo that keeps it at the top of my list. Inyo Sushi has been on my list to try for a hot minute now and I've got to admit, I was expecting better quality for the bang and the buck it cost to eat here. Almost $190.00 for 2 mocktails, 2 appetizers (as meals) Miso soup, a sushi burrito and 3 rolls one of those was just a tuna roll also - it was exxxxpennnnsive...and just 'okay'. The lettuce wraps were mostly carrots and had little flavor, same with the soup. It all seemed like it just needed 'a little something extra' to make it pop! It was also incredibly dark inside the restaurant as well. It gave a very moody/broody vibe which might be cool for a date-night, but it makes it a tad difficult to read a menu. It's a cute date night spot as the lights are typically dim in the evening with sleek, dark furniture. I sit at the bar when dining in. Sushi presentation is beautiful. Service is fine. Drinks are lackluster. They have bartender rocks drinks and martinis during happy hour. First visit, bartender made a nice scratch martini based on spirit I liked. Second visit was a standard martini available. Turmeric Old Fashioned is made with golden turmeric syrup AND triple sec that's not listed on the cocktail menu. I don't know how triple sec goes in any old fashioned. Could I be asking for too much, I don't think so. Had the bartender make a standard old fashioned. It was okay. This was my second visit. The first time, the bartender working seemed like he didn't want to be there. Happy hour is until 6:30pm during the week. Nothing to write home about. Sad solo outing. Delicious sushi, they plated it super pretty, staff was very kind, they made a slight mistake and communicated it very well, asked about allergies, we loved the music it was really fun. Very dark in there and a little hard to see menus -- I don't mind but my mom did as someone with worse vision so something to think about for them. Not worth it but my emphasis is on the quality of the food and the value the food more than the ambiance and service. I ordered a sushi roll which picture is $16 and a miso nobe soup meant for two for about $35. The soup contained a king crab leg, some tofu, small salmon, some veggies, some mushrooms in a miso soup. While the soup tasted good it was for sure nothing special and just your run of the mill typical Japanese miso broth. In my opinion this was not worth $35 and I could eat it easily by myself. The sushi roll was $16. Four pieces of a cooked roll. Wow it was good and freshly made it was definitely not special especially for the price point and four pieces. The ambiance was okay and dark. Service was fast and on point. I was the only one eating at around noon on a Sunday. I could get the same products at a cheaper Japanese restaurant for much better price point. read more

Always an amazing experience at Inyo! Our waitress Maddie and server Said are so attentive and sweet. We ordered the steak tips, crispy rice tuna, calamari and spring rolls as appetizers. For entrees, the hot sea stone bowl is a must and the veggie stir fry noodles are delicious. We ordered the dynamite roll which came lit on fire and the salmon crunch roll which was nice and light in comparison. For dessert, we got the Inyo Royale and the ice cream taco (must try)!! Sometimes I'm leery of going to Japanese restaurants because you never know if the chef owes a blood debt to the yakuza. And it would be my luck that the night I go there they've finally caught up with him and my wife and I are caught in the crossfire. You won't have this problem at Inyo, the entire waitstaff has all of their fingers so I figure that haven't crossed the yakuza. Our server, Ricky, was amazing and the everything he recommended was terrific. We had two sushi rolls, the Scottish sake salmon, and the Kurry katsu chicken. All of it was really tasty. Ricky was able to keep the ninjas from ruining our meal as he made and served us several awesome cocktails. Finally their tempura ice cream was really good. Thank you Inyo for a wonderful meal! Came here with my wife for a day after Valentine's Day dinner. We love splurging and going out to Inyo every February. It's a tradition for us. We started with an old fashioned (me) and a Princess Martini (her.) Tonight's dinner was amazing. She had two kinds of shrimp rolls and I did the Chef's Choice option which resulted in five different really delicious rolls. The ambiance and the service was great! Our server was amazing, but the food just hit the mark on every level. It was the definition of barely average. We started with the spicy edamame and hot and sour soup. The edamame was the best part of the meal. The hot and sour said it had shrimp and meat in it, but it didn't. There was 1 pc of tofu. Was no where near worth $8 for the cup. Then we got the sashimi salad. The fish was fresh, but the dressing was subpar. We even ordered a second dressing and it was worse than the first one. The Kung pao was sweet and didn't have any nuts. Didn't taste like any Kung pao I've ever had before. The chicken lettuce wraps lacked flavor and were so watery. The lettuce was fresh though. Overall, the service and ambiance were the only saving graces. The food isn't anywhere near worth the price, but even at a lower price point I don't think we would return. read more

Rude manager and staff member. My daughter found hair in her food that she pulled out of her mouth while eating (disgusting!!!).The lights are low so I understand not seeing it at first but before fully investigating the employee was accusatory while speaking with my daughter. She later found the piece of hair that happened to be in her food so I called him over again but he decided to get the general manager. The first thing out of her lips was she thought we discovered that there wasn't hair like we somehow found it as if it was placed there by my daughter and that's when I decided to take over. I stopped the manager to explain what happened but to also ask her if she was trying to understand what happened truly then why would she start off mentioning what was said by her employee before hearing both sides first. This interaction was all over a $10 item while our overall order was over $200. The manager Maddie ( a white woman) also said while I was talking to her that she wouldn't keep talking if I keep talking in a threatening way (a black woman) and not one curse word or threatening word left my mouth. Not to mention we also hadn't seen a waiter for the first 15-20 minutes after we were seated as well as my youngest daughter hadn't even gotten her food by the time all of this occurred while the rest of us were all almost finished eating. This is how we were treated spending this type of money and also celebrating my oldest daughter's 21st birthday. I will never set foot in this place again and now I know why they have 3.5 stars (which it should be less than that) and why we walked in and sat right down compared to the places we really wanted to go to with a 2 hour wait. Edited: Also I would like to mention this place was not overcrowded at all. Inside is a long dark dining area with a sushi bar in the back (used to hold to go orders) and a liquor bar in the front. Drinks were good. The bartender was great. They are phasing out Bud Light in favor of more Japanese beer. The sushi was good. It wasn't great, but good. The drinks and sushi are worth it for happy hour pricing, but not at regular prices. read more

I have brought my daughter here for several years now. For at least 10 years...since she was about 9 years old. She's now 20. Not too long ago, we celebrated her very first job promotion and raise here for dinner. We absolutely LOVE the service and food. They have the best sushi and top tier customer service. From the time you walk in until the time you walk out, you will be treated with class and fun sass with exquisite dishes, delicious deserts, and beautiful exotic drinks! They make great hires, also. This place has went way down . They changed the menu & removed over half of there top selling items . They cut the portion size down & increased the cost . Today I paid for sea salt edamame . Got home & there is NO Salt on them . I spoke to Matty who told me I was not telling the truth . She watched the cook put salt on them . I tasted them I think order them all the time . The sea salt is very visible. Here is a pic of mines . This Matty person should go back through customer service training she never offered to resolve the issue. I'm trashing this mess . Beautiful decor and ambience, delicious food, and stellar service! I really enjoyed my experience here. They accommodated our reservation of 20 people, and even allowed us to do separate checks. And they have a free parking lot in the back, so parking was easy. I ordered The Block, which was spicy tuna on top of crispy rice. I also ordered the Alaskan roll, and orders of tuna and salmon nigiri. The presentation was lovely! Everything came on one plate and was decorated with a flower in the middle. My order came with ponzu sauce, which was a nice surprise and I prefer it to soy sauce. All of the sushi was very fresh and flavorful. I tried my friend's chicken Katsu and tuna tartare, and both were very tasty as well. There was a seasonal cocktail menu and I ordered the "Honey I'm Home", which was a pomegranate vodka, homemade honey syrup, and cranberry. Sweet and easy to drink. The menu has a wide variety of things. I love sushi but there are so many other choices if sushi is not your thing. The menu includes Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Vietnamese influences.
